A very cozy and comfortable house in a beautiful location right by the forest. The nearest neighbors are 200 meters away, so privacy is guaranteed. Olga was always available and went above and beyond to help when I had a last-minute issue with check-in time. The house has everything you need, even dog bowls, a high chair, and games for children. Our stay was perfect, 100% satisfaction – thank you, Olga, for creating such a magical place! P.S. Dear guests who come after us, please consider bringing a couple of packets of cat food for a little black cat that lives nearby and often visits the house. She’s an absolute delight — gentle and very trusting — but it seems she doesn’t have a home and sleeps in the field, so she’s always very hungry.

The host was very responsive and helpful. We checked in and checked out without needing to meet with anybody (the host gave us the necessary codes remotely). The apartment is modern and extremely well-equipped. The kitchen, in particular, has everything one may need to prepare meals. The wifi is very fast (fiberoptic). The whole town is very walkable, and there are plenty of hikes in the mountains surrounding it. Most days, we walked 10-20 km (6-12 miles). I particularly recommend a walk from the rental unit to the historic sanatorium built over a century ago on the forested hill to the south of town. There is also a hike on Park Hill displaying WWII-era armaments. But the biggest tourist attraction in town is the Arado system of underground tunnels from WWII which is accessible with guided tours. The town has a train connection to Czechia (a 50-minute mountain rail line direct to the cute town of Trutnov from which one can connect to cities like Hradec Kralove and Prague).

We stayed there for 4 nights, we enjoyed the quiet surroundings very much and we felt very comfortable in the accommodation very quickly. It's a cute village, so of course it requires planning to get a bus and get to the next place. But that's also exactly what we imagined as a vacation. Relaxation and at the same time many opportunities to go hiking. Martin was very hospitable and we were able to communicate well despite the language barrier. So would recommend! Thank you
