Everything about Villa Merida is absolutely incredible. We've been lucky enough to have travelled to quite a few places and this is our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in. The villa is gorgeous. The pool and courtyard are beautiful and the room was extremely spacious, with the most comfortable bed and gorgeous decorative elements. The owner has done a wonderful job of renovating but maintaining the colonial charm. It has such thoughtful touches, such as extra towels for the pool and cenotes, a massive container of drinking water that we could fill our water bottles with that gets changed everyday, wonderful smelling toiletries. The villa itself isabout a 25 minute walk to the centre, which has all the best bars and restaurants, or a £3 Uber, and the Ubers were super easy to order. Batiste, the manager was fantastic. He gave us the best recommendations and was so helpful and responsive for any questions we had. If you're wondering whether to stay, just book it, you won't regret it!

We stayed at the Hotel Peregrino for two nights and had a wonderful time. The historic center of Mérida is within walking distance, and the ADO bus terminal is, by car/taxi, just mere minutes away. The hotel manager was very welcoming, spoke impeccable English and supported us in anything we needed. We had booked a day trip which required us to leave before the official breakfast time, the staff was very supportive and prepared sandwiches, some fruit as well as tea for us to take on our way. We would definitely recommend Jim's place to anyone traveling to Mérida.

This was my fifth stay at Villa Mérida and it most certainly won’t be my last. It is a tranquil oasis within the heart of a beautiful and dynamic city. There aren’t words sufficient to describe how welcoming and kind the staff are, including Batiste, the gracious concierge. We were so sad that we weren’t able to catch him before our departure to say goodbye. The Villa itself is pure magic. The pool was recently upgraded with a heating system that provides the perfect temperature for a relaxing dip. The landscaping is a tropical dream come true. The kitchen is the perfect place to meet other guests, grab coffee or espresso, and prepare a quick meal if you don’t feel like venturing out. If you are lucky enough to find rooms available, book them. You won’t be disappointed!

I had a wonderful stay! Batiste, the host, and other staff were so friendly and ran the place beautifully and professionally. It was private and peaceful but there were many opportunities to connect and visit with other guests. I also arrived to the surprise that my room was renovated and had a fantastic new and bigger layout which was perfect! The area felt very safe even at night, and it was very close and accessible to anywhere I wanted to visit. If not walkable, everything was a quick Uber ride away. I would absolutely recommend Villa Merida to anyone! Thanks to Batiste & co. For a lovely vacation.

Excellent house, friendly service, including the lady. Elisa is attentive, she communicates with you, I spent time with her and ate with her, an excellent person and a great stay, a place close to everything and a very good area.

We had a great stay in a private twin room. The Hostal is super clean, the kitchen is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying there!

It is a hotel with spacious rooms, I like the decoration, the furniture, the bed very comfortable, I would just like the kitchen service to start earlier as we could have breakfast from 8 and sometimes we had to go out earlier and we could not have breakfast. I would come back for another time👍😊.

As advertised. There were quite a few bugs and creatures, but that can be expected at a campsite with cabanas.

Quiet, local neighborhood with very few tourists, exactly what we wanted. Not as many walkable restaurants as we hoped but the ones there were excellent (El Cheffe is a delight) and Uber Eats filled the gap. Had a few requests and hosts were VERY accommodating. Very highly recommended!!

my husband and I stayed in Monica's home for a full week. the home was huge and could have easily accommodated a family or a group. the home was located near shops and restaurants. It had colonial charm with modern amenities ( air con, filtered water, smart tv). The outdoor area had nice furniture and ceiling fans. The pool was beautiful, we used it everyday.

If you’re an American looking for an American big chain experience. Stop move on! If you want a warm welcome location with a unique experience and fantastic host, this is your place. I enjoyed my stay and found some new friends along the way. It is relaxed, easy walking to all the events in centro. The combination of European culture with the Yucatan environment creates a unique cultural atmosphere.

The price was quite good for the location of the place, we loved it.

It was an incredible accommodation. The house is very nice, comfortable and very cozy. The attention from Mrs. Bertha, who is the person who welcomes you and takes care of you all the time, is incredible. She is very friendly and helps you with everything. 100% recommended place and also very central

just the perfect place in Merida. it's not in the city center but you can easily walk about 20min to get to the main square, when you get tired, you can use Uber which is about 2eur to get back to the place. We loved everything about the apartment, it's big, great AC in the bedroom, wifi was fast, there is hot/cold water dispenser, cooking utensils, small patio, comfortable bed, just everything you need for great stay! we will come back thank you
