Vacation home rentals in Potomac River

Had an absolutely amazing weekend at Tonya’s place! It was a family Thanksgiving trip and there was ample room for sleeping, cooking, and eating. A fully functioning separate kitchen in the basement made it so easy to keep the prep moving along. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit and the dog loved playing catch in the massive yard. Minutes away from the brewery trail and some very pretty hikes. Tonya was responsive and flexible with us and I so appreciated that while making these plans.

There are so many positives for this property it is hard to know where to begin. Sandee, our host, was friendly and helpful every step of the way. Her historic home (it was here in Gettysburg at the time of the battle) was beautiful, immaculate and very comfortable. It felt like "home" from the time we stepped into it. The house itself is in downtown Gettysburg, on a quiet street and within an easy walk to Gettysburg's central square with its many shopping and dining opportunities. The house is across the street from a grocery store making it convenient to stock up on provisions. I could go on an on, but suffice to say this is one of the best AirBnB experiences I have ever had and Sandee is a superb host.

My family enjoyed our stay at Bill & Christine's cabin during my daughter's wedding weekend. It was the perfect place for the bridal party to get ready in the morning before the ceremony. There are plenty of trees around the cabin and a nice firepit in the backyard. It was very relaxing to sit around the fire and enjoy the cool fall evening. The inside is spacious and is decorated with many nice antiques. Bill was very friendly and offered a lot of information about the history of Breeches Pocket. It was such a busy time with the wedding that we did not have time to explore the area but would love to come back sometime and go exploring. Thank you, Bill and Christine, for a wonderful stay at your cabin.

The apartment is very roomy and laid out so well, with everything we needed. Susan is a great host! We stayed for 6 months and enjoyed coming home to this apartment every day. The warm sunlight from the windows and the easy ground level entrance makes it feel like you’re not in a basement at all! It’s in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Just a 10-15 minute walk got us to the metro station, post office, Starbucks, and many restaurants. On street parking right across the street was available almost every day of our stay. We had to cut short our stay due to a work change, but Susan was very accommodating through it. Sad to go, but totally recommend this place! If we’re back in the area we’ll definitely stay here again!

The house was just perfect for us. Very comfortable and being on the marina was beautiful. Andy went out of his way to make our visit possible and very nice.

This trip was much needed and Tina’s place was in the perfect location. So peaceful and tranquil and the water made it all worth it. It’s my happy place. The house was clean had everything we could have needed and everything was super comfortable.

We enjoyed our time at this house. The recommended hikes were good and the kitchen was nice with everything you’d need for cooking.

Very cozy and peaceful. The kids loved the hill out back for sled riding. We would definitely come back again.

This was a hidden gem and a oasis, perfect for a romantic getaway, and to disconnect. We were so happy with Kassandra’s home she has the most amazing view and her house is beautiful . We will definitely would like to come back with kids to let them enjoy the view and river.

Great place, felt like home. Abbey had everything you could think of, the neighborhood was welcoming and we enjoyed that public transportation was absolutely wonderful. Bus stop was around the corner from the house and it was free, we had no need for a car. Abbey's place was actually as described and the color and amenities of her home was great. Would stay again when we are back in the area. We were there to celebrate my sister's 65th birthday and we could not have chosen a better place. We highly recommend Abbey's place for your stay. Oh, and you must check out King Street in Old Town Alexandria.

Beautiful location! We comfortably fit 10 people for the weekend. The backyard was peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed lots of coffees and adult beverages while sitting looking at the water. 10/10 would recommend this house as well as Laura. She was so accommodating to our requests and went above and beyond.

What a great place! Especially traveling with a little one. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It was very clean and felt like home. I highly recommend staying here!

Our family gathered at Creekside for our annual fall celebration for our mom’s birthday. We had all ages- from 2 months to 80 years and everyone found something to do that they enjoyed. We had a chili cook-off and the kitchen had plenty of space for everyone. The great room was perfect for sports watching , card games and toddlers playing- all at the same time. It was a perfect weekend!

Great great place! Appliances are top notch and so many surprising details. They supplied plenty of firewood for us and even accommodated a later checkout since we got there later than expected. Great communication and check in/out was a breeze. Definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay, this is the place. The house was very clean and well stocked with the essentials. The only thing that would have been nice to have was some throw blankets to cuddle under when sitting in the living room. We would definitely stay here again. 5 out of 5 recommend.

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway with friends! Well stocked kitchen to accommodate multiple cooks and an extra large dining table for meals. Incredible outdoor space: an enormous front deck with outstanding views and a very private backyard with gas grill, picnic table and fire pit. We lucked out with weather and gorgeous fall foliage! Convenient for shopping in Bedford, happy hour at Tillie’s and hiking on nearby trails.
