This location is unbelievably beautiful: the view from the deck & main bedroom, the bush / beach reserve beside the house, and the coastal beauty of the area. And it is pet friendly! We will be back.

It was an awesome place to stay when visiting family in the Nelson Bay Area for Christmas.

Fabulous, modern and comfy space set in a tranquil bushland setting, yet close to beaches and the village. Terry was very welcoming & made us, including our dog, immediately at home. Recommend & will stay again

Great location and 2 mins walk to the beach. Cost home with plenty of space and decor/furnishings are very nice.

We had a lovely relaxed weekend! The view was lovely and the afternoon sun was golden. It was close to beaches and restaurants.

We loved our stay at Idlewatch. Great house, well equipped and close to river. Easy walking distance to Hawks Nest shopping area and across the Singing Bridge to the Tea Gardens waterfront. Steve was an excellent host!

Our family vacation was absolutely perfect from start to finish! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The destination was stunning, Location was right in the middle of everything. From the pristine beaches to local restaurants. there was something for everyone to enjoy including the kids. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The hosts were amazing! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and catered to every request with genuine kindness and professionalism. We also loved how family-friendly everything was—there were plenty of options for the kids to stay entertained, and the environment felt safe and inviting. Would highly recommend and would definitely Return to stay again.

Beautifully designed and very clean apartment, our family (and pup) felt straight at home. Well equipped kitchen and a lot of fun board games and books for rainy days. Kind hosts, highly recommend!

My teenage children, husband and parents had a wonderful time at Jay and Rods place. It was a great location and had everything we needed. The house was clean, tidy and comfortable. We were surprised and excited when we were able to use complementary kayak and SUP and the nearby pool was perfect. It was easy to walk into Nelson Bay or Little Beach or lots of other walks from the house. Perfect! We all had a wonderful holiday and hope we can come back some day. Thank you Rod and Jay for your hospitality and for immediate responses to any questions we had.

Exactly what we needed, we wanted to explore all the tourist attractions and we needed a comfortable and secure place for the night. Enjoyed morning walks and sunrise/sunset photography. Easy to get around to popular beaches, Sholbay, Zenith beach and other beaches. We witnessed two sharks 40 m away from the shores and multiple sightings of dolphins.

We had a lovely stay at Vivian's place. The surrounding were quiet and comfortable, with the beach very calm and the feeling of being surrounded by bush. The house was very accomodating and thought has clearly gone in to making it a comfortable stay. All the beds were great. Only one thing to mention: the AC unit doesn't really reach the bedrooms, so, during a period of hot weather, we had to be proactive about making sure they stayed cool enough. But we all slept fine. Overall, recommended.

Excellent position, clean and has everything you need including everything for your pet.
