We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! Duarte was very welcoming and took the time to explain everything to us at check-in. He was always available to provide quick and helpful information whenever we needed it. The apartment was spotless and well-equipped with all the necessary utilities. Having a washing machine was a great bonus for us. The location was perfect—well connected to Funchal, with plenty of car rental options nearby. The supermarket and restaurants were conveniently close, and the free parking spot was a huge plus. We didn’t have to worry about parking at all, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, everything was smooth, and we had a fantastic time on this beautiful Island.

Great choice for holidays or longer stays! Ana is a really nice host, she kindly welcomed us even at midnight on Christmas. The apartment had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - a peaceful seaside village with easy access to everything.

What can I say… we have stayed in several Airbnbs abroad and in the Uk and this one hits the spot. Betty was a complete star. The location is perfect in every way. Restaurants, bus stop, Madeira Forum which has a fantastic supermarket and every shop you might need. The apartment was spotless, homely, lots of extras left to help in the first day or so. Then the views.. oh what a delight. My dad who has difficulty walking had an amazing time looking out to sea.. watching the weather and boats. Private car parking space for the hire car.. all on level ground with lifts which aided with the accessibility we needed! Utterly brilliant already planning two more holidays with Betty! Thank you Betty.

Great place! Very clean and spacious with good views. Shower water temperature sometimes a little unstable, and no heating for winter months (however Raquel provided lots of extra blankets, and a space heater as well). Great little cafe downstairs for coffee/sandwiches/pastries, and appreciated the free garage parking space!

We stayed at this property for the third time: the location right by the sea is fantastic and unbeatable as a starting point for many hikes in the immediate vicinity. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. The sofa in the living room should perhaps be renewed or the covers washed, because there are signs of wear and tear. The outdoor area is definitely a clear recommendation.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Woodlovers property. It was clean, beautiful, private, quiet, and an oasis from home while on vacation for 10 days in Madeira. Our hosts were so communicative. We felt well guided before, during and after. Thank you for all the recos. Wouldn’t reco a better stay while visiting this beautiful island.

TLDR: Sofia and her place rock. Don’t stay anywhere else on Madeira. Sofia’s place is one of the best Air BnBs we have ever stayed in. The views from the porch and balcony are beautiful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The house has a chill, calming vibe, especially with some music playing and a breeze blowing through the open windows. The kitchen has everything you could ever need to cook with and serve food on. Plates, bowls, pots, pans galore! We spent most of our time at Sofia’s place eating or lounging on the front porch. If you don’t feel like cooking, the eclectic Joe’s Bar is about 100 steps from the house, depending on your stride. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. The staff is delightful. Jardim do Mar is a hidden gem on Madeira. The town is clean and well taken care of. There is something special around each corner. Great food at Joe’s Bar. Stone benches with stunning views of the waves as they crash against the sea wall. Beautiful plants.

Everything was great with the accommodation. Iri took great care of the well-being and has an open ear for improvements for future guests.

This stay at Annikka's place was a great experience. The apartment is in a great location, which allowed to be less than an hour's drive from all the activities of the island (car rental highly recommended, see mandatory). The area is quiet and the apartment has ocean views even from the bed when you wake up! It is rare to find an available space in the private parking lot of the residence if you want to park in the evening, however we have always found a place on the surrounding streets as the host had explained (in front of the Baia Azul hotel for example). Everything is well equipped and the instructions were very clear, we recommend this listing without hesitation! Laura & Rio

Beautiful and peaceful place with a stunning view on the ocean! Accomodation was really comfortable and cozy :) You can fully relax there! Mariana and Miguel are helpful and friendly :) there ale two adorable cats and a goat :D we recomend this place 100%. Apartment is quit high (200m) so it’s way easier to go there by car. Otherwise, you will have a walk to go to a store or restaurant at the coast. There are many stairs shortcuts not to walk the road.

Great apartment within walking distance to Funchal city centre (30 minutes but involves hills so some fitness required). I feel it was great value to get somewhere so close to restaurants etc. Parking and access to the pool were also great assets to have.

We couldn't have been happier: the flat is a dream. Ricardo and Mariana were great hosts and made the stay perfect. About the accommodation: the flat is large and modern, everything was very invitingly furnished and especially clean. Everything was taken care of. The location is perfect and we will definitely be back. Thank you very much for that!

The Casas Na Ilha was very clean, large and beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The pool and kitchen were great for large groups as well as each room had its own bathroom. We would come back. Isabel responded very quickly and kindly to messages and the check-in with the door code was very easy and convenient.

It was the best place I've ever rented from Airbnb. Everything was as in the photos. Very quiet. The pool and ocean views are amazing. Spacious bedrooms with bathrooms. Very clean. Snow-white linen. It is not recommended to be here without a car. But, if you like walking, probably you will enjoy. It was very interesting to check neighborhood. We walked around a little bit. Very secure. If you see someone around, it's only local people. They are very friendly. I never seen homeless or beggars around our place. I can confirm, that you will not find any unfriendly people on this island. Tennis and billiard tables will not make you bored. There was practically no wind. The island exceeded our expectations. We won't go to Tenerife again. Orlanda was great. We are ready to return to any of her homes. Orlanda helps with some my questions about Madeira. She is number 1. Thank you for your hospitality.

Everything went smoothly, as described and instructed. The host was very helpful and flexible. For example, he agreed to a later checkout. Parking is a bit difficult due to few parking spaces in the neighborhood parking lot. There wasn't always space. On the other hand, there is public parking nearby for €6.5 per night.

We highly recommend this rental when visiting Madeira. Raquel and her father are both very friendly and quick to respond to any questions before and during rental period. They provided pickup and return from/to the airport which was great. They explained how everything worked : car, roof-tent, camping kitchen and shower and gave us a map with spots to spend the night we used many times. We basically used all the equipment. The outdoor shower was great after spending the day hiking! We also enjoyed some lunches and overnight stays in places only accessible for a 4x4 car so solitude with magical sunsets are included. TIP: Put a post-it note on your windscreen in front driver to remind yourself to remove and store the rooftop tent crank before driving off in the morning!! It is not a thing you want to loose. We were so lucky it stayed in during the next drive 🫣

Stayed 8 nights at Leonor’s place and absolutely loved it. The best part of the house is the view and two separate balconies. The house was squeaky clean and had all the listed amenities+ extra. Location is in peaceful area at the top of a hill, but there are a lot of things to do within a 5-10 minute walk. We took a lot of Taxi’s, there was no issues finding the place. Friendly cat that lives outside, highly recommend.

The place is spectacular and Valery provided very clear and helpful instructions. The apartment is beautiful and the view from the windows breathtaking. The kitchen is equipped with everything one can need during such a stay. Having a car, this is a great location, from which it is convenient to visit any place on the island. Arriving late to Madeira, one cannot think of a better spot to get to swiftly from the airport (around 15 minutes). It is a very calm place in the suburbs, and we were looking exactly for a spot like that. We really loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone.

We absolutely loved staying at Nuno’s place. Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, clean - as depicted. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was very well appointed. The living room offered enough seating for our family of 5. As a host, Nuno was very friendly and helpful. All the rave reviews for this place are accurate - I recommend staying here if you’re visiting Madeira and want to be at a peaceful remove from Funchal but still nearby!

Absolutely unique experience to face the ocean and don't be bothered with anything but nature. Photos make no justice to real beauty of this place. Very pleasant stay, the house was spotless. You will have a private pool and a beautiful view of the valley and the sea. The beds were very comfortable, no amenities to say. We are very happy and we are thinking of coming back to Madeira.

We had the best time staying at the Crystal house. Fatima was an incredibly friendly host who welcomed us personally and gave us privacy during our stay. She even brought us Madeiran wine and bananas from the garden. The space is big enough for 2 persons, especially with the royal terrace and balcony looking over the valley and the ocean! This was exceptional! The road in front of the house is not extremely busy, but the cars are loud sometimes. The kitchen is not very big, but it has the basics and is good enough for simple dinners. The bathroom is also quite small, but it’s clean and well equipped. The location on the island was ideal for us! You can drive to the highlights quite easily, while still enoying the local atmosphere from Madeira. Muito obrigado Fatima! It was amazing!
