The apartment was clean, with all the amenities needed to live. The location is very convenient for people who want to explore Madeira. The host was very kind :) recommended local restaurants and recommended the best places to park in Funchal.

bonjour, great stay in Madeira. a large and pleasant apartment when you came home in the evening. Restaurant addresses with typical menus. One in the very authentic village,one by the beach with local guests. The seaside is a stone's throw away for evening walks. Everything helped make us have a great stay.

The flat is right in the middle of everything - we loved the location :-). There was a tiny problem with the check-in, but Adriana helped right away and was very friendly and helpful. The flat was very clean. We absolutely loved the balcony :-)

We have travelled to Madeira over 20 times and what a fantastic apartment to stay in !!! Very spacious , clean and close to all amenities. Betty was superb in communicating from when we booked, while we were there and upon check out . Will definitely be back and booking again . We were a family of 7 ( all adults) and felt right at home . Truly a remarkable gem in Madeira. We would highly recommend Betty and her incredible apartment !!!!

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Raquel was beyond friendly and understanding. She allowed us to check in early. She made everything so easy after a long flight. She also gave the. Eat recommendations. I would highly suggest booking with her. The location was ideal and a friendly neighborhood. There’s a cute cafe downstairs to the left of the building with friendly staff and yummy food. The apartment was in walking distance of down town. Beyond happy with the booking. Thank you Raquel.

The place was super nice and very centrally located. The tiny house has been very well maintained and nicely renovated. The restaurant right outside the front door is absolutely recommended. Communication and cleanliness were impeccable. Highly recommend, I will come back anytime.

We loved this place .. located on a surf beach . View on the beach from the terrace.. very quiet and easy to park ( November) . Great base to explore the east part of the island . Not as build up as the other side , felt more relax , less tourists . Flat is well equipped , nothing missing .

We had a wonderful stay at Woodlovers and definitely recommend it. It’s a home from home. A beautiful apartment in a green little garden, very nicely furnished und very clean. Our hosts gave us lots of information on how to get to and into the apartment and about lots of things to do on the islands. We enjoyed all the recommendations and tried to visit most as possible. An unforgettable experience was the fresh mango from the mango tree in the garden as well as the fresh guavas, Lúcio gave us. An absolute benefit is the water filter in the laundry. So you can fill up your water bottle and can save plastics. We stayed two weeks . After one week, there was a free cleaning of the apartment. We absolutely enjoyed our stay (and Joe’s Bar ;) ) Thank you.

we were very pleased with our stay at Iri’s apartment. she is a very friendly host who showed a lot of patience (due to a small incident) and was kind to us. the apartment is very spacious and bright, with two balconies, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the property also has a pool and jacuzzi, which were a nice bonus, and of course, the beach is very close — just a 5–10 minute walk from the house. I highly recommend it without hesitation. thank you so much, Iri!

This stay at Annikka's place was a great experience. The apartment is in a great location, which allowed to be less than an hour's drive from all the activities of the island (car rental highly recommended, see mandatory). The area is quiet and the apartment has ocean views even from the bed when you wake up! It is rare to find an available space in the private parking lot of the residence if you want to park in the evening, however we have always found a place on the surrounding streets as the host had explained (in front of the Baia Azul hotel for example). Everything is well equipped and the instructions were very clear, we recommend this listing without hesitation! Laura & Rio

We loved our stay here! It is a really nice and cosy house with a beautiful garden with a swimmingpool. Everything is available: nice shower, big bed, kitchen with everthing you need, netflix, blankets, washingmachine, etc. And when we arrived they gave us wine and cookies as a welcome present, really sweet. Also the view over the ocean is beautiful and the host was really nice and gave us multiple recommendations.

We stayed for 5 days here. My kids loved the planes flying past the house, nice walk to santa cruz , sunny patio to enjoy lunch & drinks. No major issues for us , we will definitely look to come back here!

My family of 4 (children 7, 9) stayed here for 6 nights in July. Absolutely perfect place for a family. The garden/pool area is beautiful. Check-in was easy as Bruno met us nearby and escorted us onto the property, showing us how everything worked and how to get down to the “beach” house. My kids enjoyed use of the pool every day and we all loved watching sunsets from the patio. The pool in July was perfect temperature. No need to ask to heat it. Upon arrival, the hosts had a bottle of wine, fruits, and milk waiting for us. There is a barbecue area to use, but also only a 5 min drive in either direction to good restaurants. Don’t fret about past guests mentioning the road down to the property - while narrow, it is nothing to be concerned about. And it provides the privacy that makes this place so special. The AC was effective and kept us cool at night. I will add that there is a short path past the beach gate that eventually leads around the bluff to an awesome spot to watch sunset.

Our trip to the island of Madeira was splendid thanks to Raquel's 4x4, very well appointed and functional. We were able to easily get to all the places on the island. Raquel and his father are very kind and attentive to our needs. During the Check in, the explanations (in French) were very clear, which made the trip and use of the car and tent very easy. If you want to travel to Madeira by van Life, go for it without hesitation!

The views are truly breathtaking at anytime of the day or night. Worth getting up to see the sunrise. The place was spotless and had more exterior space than the listing suggested. Comfortable beds and linens. Exceptional location with lots of restaurants within walking distance and short walk or drive to downtown core of Funchal. We mostly drove but when we walked to Lido, we took a taxi back due to the steep walk, but all of Funchal shares the same challenge so be ready for it. Host had many great recommendations on where to go (not just non-tourist traps but great fits to your specific requirements… I was impressed!). Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The location can’t get any closer to the ocean and hearing the waves through our stay was so rejuvenating. Valery was a very communicative and generous host. Note: this area was VERY windy in December which didn’t allow us to fully enjoy the sound of the waves during the night. Overall, things were great 🌈

A marvelous hideaway, right in front of the ocean. For us, one of the most beautiful spots of all Madeira! We really enjoyed the sound of the waves, the incredible expanse of the Atlantic Ocean and the daily sunsets over the sea. The house has everything you need to spent all your time in the apartment. At the same time, this place is a very good starting point for many spectacular excursions into the evergreen landscape of Madeira.

Very pleasant stay, the house was spotless. You will have a private pool and a beautiful view of the valley and the sea. The beds were very comfortable, no amenities to say. We are very happy and we are thinking of coming back to Madeira.

our stay went well, Kristjan is very kind and responsive; we slept to the sound of the ocean, enjoying the amazing view! the mattress is too hard for our taste, but this was only the only negative point of our stay. Jardim do Mar is very cute.
