A truly memorable stay in a quintessential small Douro valley village. The place is as described and a true gem. The dinner paired with wines was a highlight of our stay as was the company. Highly recommend. Beware however that cell service as you enter the remote hamlet with very narrow lanes may be lost rendering your gps useless. Luckily we found service near the church and Jet came and escorted us to her place which is not the easiest to find.

We loved our stay at Marli’s apartment and would highly recommend it! The apartment is located on the top floor with stunning views of the Douro. It is very well equipped with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival and Marli took the time to give us a tour and also provided local recommendations, very much appreciated. The convenience of the restaurant right down the building was an added bonus. Armamar is a peaceful and charming town, a good base to explore the Douro valley region.

Had a wonderful visit in Pinhao. The location of the unit was easy to get to from the train. Very clean! The fresh oranges were a wonderful treat. We had some issues with the train schedule snd the host was very accommodating with the schedule. Thank you for the hospitality and sharing your space with us. My mom and I had a wonderful time!
