If you’re seeking to explore the true life of an Austrian villager, this is the perfect spot. The town is lovely peaceful and its villagers are so welcoming! While we didn’t had the time to explore thoroughly the activities available in the area there’s a lot of things to do for nature loving people. Like most of the Austrian villages, Klöch is beautiful, quiet and peaceful - and as such you should prepare for anything you’d like to do ahead of time as most businesses are closed on Sundays and they have short working hours on Saturday. If you need something urgent there are supermarkets at around 10-minute drive, including a 24/7 local grocery store (self-checking, self-checkout) stocked with local vegetables fruits and produces (including tomato sauce) - everything local. Incredible stay altogether!

Finding this place is one of the happiest accidents of the summer. Lina’s house is cosy and welcoming. It’s very private, far from any loud roads yet still just a short drive from shops and restaurants. There are plenty of cool places to visit in the area. But even just having a meal on the terrace is the most peaceful experience. You might catch a glimpse of some goats or deer. Speaking of meals, Lina left us some fresh home-grown vegetables and some pasta- I haven’t had a tomato that flavorful in a long time! Thank you so much! We never met, but your hospitality was felt through the food and your messages. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Lidija and Thomas' apartment is a small oasis where you can really relax and unwind. It is spacious, clean and quiet. We also didn't miss anything in the kitchen. From the house you can hike wonderfully and easily reach by car there is the border triangle, a spa and the Austrian Burgenland. And if you don't feel like being on the road, you can enjoy life on the terrace covered with wine or a lounger in the courtyard. Lidija and Thomas are attentive hosts who like to talk about the area, the house or the production of their homemade delicacies. They responded quickly to questions and gave good excursion tips.

We were so happy about the air-condition in Katja’s house. The living area as well as the bedrooms are air-conditioned. It’s an apartment, 2 bedrooms upstairs and kitchen/living room and bathroom downstairs. It’s a quiet area just as we wanted, locals in the little village are very friendly. There is a great restaurant in the next village a couple of minutes down the road and opportunities for grocery shopping. The place was clean. All good, we spent a happy 12 days there and would book again.
