Hiroko is a very enthusiastic person and will tell you a lot of scenic spots, and it was a great place for me.

I highly recommend this host, very kind and helpful. And her place is organized.

Kazu is a very nice host and very timely reply, the room is quite affordable, and the traffic to city centre is also convenient. However without having a AC, you have to keep the ventilator on during the summer night, which is a bit of noisy .

The owner, Hiroko, is very friendly and friendly. The dormitory is always clean, easy to use, and private.

I don’t even know where to start writing my review for Hiroko-san’s place. I have so much to say. First, she picked me up to the nearest train station when I arrived. She is very kind and welcoming, she really cares for her guests not like other Airbnb’s who just want money. She showed me what Japanese hospitality is, which I truly appreciate. She also gave me a lot of tips for the bus and train and where to go. The place was squeaky clean too and you have everything you need. It was a very quiet and peaceful place to be especially if you’re a solo traveler. I would love to visit her again, and give her a lot of “pasalubong” or giftd from the Philippines! I wish I could stay longer at her place, if not only for my work. I cant wait to go back with my friends on her place :)

The best hotel I've been in during my whole 6 months long stay in Japan. I would strongly advise any of you to give it a chance and appreciate the helpfulness of the host.

The location is 5 minutes by taxi from Minami Otaru Station. When I went, I walked, but if the carrier is big, be sure to take a taxi. It's hard to get to the station because it's uphill and downhill. It takes less than 10 minutes on foot to Otaru Music Museum, and you can reach Otaru Station in 20-25 minutes on foot. The accommodation is an old-fashioned wooden structure, and the inside is very warm during the gas furnace. The owner's discernment was excellent, so the common space, shared kitchen, and even in the room were very sensational and satisfactory. It was a bit annoying that the shower was on the second floor and only accessible by stairs, but the shower was clean and nice. It's an old building, so there's a sound every time you walk around, but even that's emotional. I'm very satisfied!

Very beautiful house, super comfortable room & unique artworks throughout. The hospitality here is really well thought out for a hostel/hotel. They supply quality towels every day & really good coffee. We loved our stay here. Would definately come back!

The three of us stayed. There were interesting books in the room, and the elaborate work was made everywhere in the hotel, so I enjoyed it very much. Shampoo and rinse were also provided with solid items. There was no softener smell from the linens, and we had a very pleasant time. It is an inn that makes you want to stay again.

Recommended for those who like a quiet place to stay! The experience of sleeping in a homestead is unique. It was so nice to not rest because I was locked in the room, but to read a book in the shared living room, drink a glass of beer, and chat with my partner. Overall, it is a place where I prefer to be quiet, so I hope that those who are wacky will go somewhere else. Great for walking with a local vibe. I went from Minami Otaru to my place and traveled the next day while walking from Minami Otaru to Otaru.

Amazing place to stay. Has all amenities listed and clean as well! Definitely recommend this place for any who travel to Otaru in groups.

Was great, very accomodating, upgraded my room from bunk bed to double bed which was nice

In the middle of 2 subway lines, 15 minutes on foot from Tanukikoji I highly recommend this price.

It was amazing, it's near by walking to the most famous places in otaru, you'll have all the amenities that you need, the host is really friendly
