budget friendly accomodation for solo or group travellers. restaurant located on the first floor for convenience. the staff are accommodating and friendly and extremely responsive. great place if you're looking to travel on budget!

I think that Shukuinan is the only inn in Aomori that accepts one person and an extra-large dog. The room and living room were clean and we had a pleasant time. The dog was relaxed as if it were at home.

Masahiro san welcomed us very warmly, although it was already very late when we arrived. He briefly explained everything important to us without being intrusive. Place was very well maintained and as described. Everything was great.

No complaints about this place at all and will definitely be staying again. Great location, clean, modern, had basic and extra amenities as well as appliances. The rooms/ pods themselves are fairly spacious and the whole facility is kept tidy. Very easy to find and navigate.

The only guest house in Omama Town. You can also eat Oma tuna. A room with a traditional Japanese sunken kotatsu, reminiscent of the good old days.

Very special temple-run accommodation. Clean and tidy. But the bathroom and shower are shared. The natural environment is superior and pleasant. Need to drive to get there. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy the best raw fish dishes.

We were so pleased with this hostel; we’ve only stayed in hostels in Iceland, but this one I would recommend to anyone, especially if travelling in a large group. We were a group of 6 and filled up the room with us, bags, and backpacks but it did not feel cramped at all. The sleeping formation was very private and comfortable. If you had to stay with other guests in the room, I think you would still find the accommodations secure and private. Very short walk to train station that can quickly get you to Sapporo Station easily. Thanks again!

Recommended for skiing to Rusutsu!Value for money max! I went a week before Christmas and the free shuttle bus people are not many.The grill in the shop is delicious, but it's best to order if you want to eat and a cow package.The room is very clean, but you can hear walking and talking outside on the first floor, but everyone is skiing early, so the impact is not particularly big, the shop also has earplugs.There are snowwear rental clothes in the store, the quality is not particularly good, it looks a little old and the options are limited.But wins are cheap and still cost-effective to rent in the snow field.Couldn't recommend more overall more!The clerks are especially good and the value is high.

This is a very nice place to stay. The room is clean and there are ample amenities provided. Even a toothbrush! The host, Masahiro, is very kind and accommodating. He is also very responsive. I would stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

Simple and cheap if you are on a budget this is perfect the airport limousine bus is literally less than a 5 min walk and the station a 10 min walk near in mind if it is the middle of winter there is snow literally everywhere so make sure you wear good shoes for the snow i slipped a few times ! But that was the experience but yes it met my needs! Arigato.

We had a wonderful memory.The inn is very beautiful, and above all, it is very memorable that you still told me about Hiroko's story and sightseeing spots.Otaru also enjoyed going around the museum and music box.Excellent hospitality, Hiroko-san!

I really enjoyed my brief stay in Hakodate at Masahiro's place. He had a nice sense of humor as he introduced the place and I felt right at home. Close enough to go walk around and access Mount Hakodate which I really enjoyed. I would come back if I ever find myself in Hakodate again.

little barrel is the best hostel in hokkaido! with quirky and warm furniture, plants and artwork, we felt at home straight away. the large kitchen is perfect for travellers, with space for multiple people to cook and do other things. the amenities are plentiful and so were the free condiments. the lovely cleaners and staff were always friendly and thorough, we highly recommend this place to anyone! it is also in a good location, with easy access (10 minute walk) to the famous canals. Thank you little barrel!

Very beautiful common space, it may not be very convenient to stay for a day, it would be nice if you could stay here for a long time. Also, dragging a suitcase from the platform to the house in winter is really difficult, the snow is very thick and difficult to drag, it's best to bring small luggage when staying here🧳

I recommend it because it's cheap. The dormitory was clean and the toast for breakfast was delicious. Also, I had coffee made by the owner for 300 yen, and even I, who doesn't know much about coffee, thought it was very delicious. Thank you very much.
