Steinhaus fantastic view

We absolutely loved staying at Julia's stone cottage, nestled in the middle of her verdant organic olive groves, and situated on a hillside with sweeping views across a valley with mountains and the sea in the distance. The photos do not begin to do justice to the beauty of this location. Although the property is in a perfect location to make day trips to gorgeous towns like Volterra, Pisa, and Lucca, we almost didn't want to leave the warm stone patio looking out at the valley. The house itself is totally charming and cosy. Newly renovated and spotlessly clean, it was laid out in a way that gave everyone total privacy, while still making it easy to gather in the common spaces. My only regret is that I was not able to take the wonderful olive oil I purchased from Julia on the plane. We were so excited to have olive oil grown and produced by someone we had met on a farm where we stayed. I recommend buying two smaller containers rather than one larger if you don't intend to check bags.

Podere Quercia al Santo [Quercia al Santo Estate]

The very best of hosts! Gracious and friendly, Antonio and Carmela instantly made me feel at home and part of the family. The apartment is as peaceful and comfortable as described. My dogs had the best time walking around the fields and hills. I will definitely visit again.

The village house. Iris apartment

Laura's house in Lajatico, where Andrea Bocelli was born, was fantastic. Laura and her husband are very kind and caring. The entrance to the house was pretty and the interior facilities were attractive, so I had a pleasant and happy stay. The village is small but peaceful, and it is a very artistic place with many paintings painted here and there. Most importantly, you can visit the 'Silent Theater' designed by Bocelli himself and imagine Bocelli's concert in the Tuscan plains. I was happy during my 3 night and 4 day stay.
