House vacation rentals in Old Town, San Diego

We felt very welcome at Vanessa’s! Very comfortable and homey. Great kitchen. Relaxed atmosphere and lots of amenities for kids! Loved the pool, the backyard patio and the short walk to the beach! Vanessa was super friendly!!She communicated quickly and went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable.

My group had an amazing time in KC’s home. It was gorgeous and very comfortable accommodations. KC was responsive and helpful whenever I needed to reach him. The kitchen was well equipped and the house in general had luxurious upgrades. The neighborhood was quiet and spacious for California. My group had 4 cars and the driveway fit everyone comfortably. No one was blocking anyone in. The master shower is a dream with two shower heads. The adhesive on the wall to maintain the door in place kept falling due to humidity but we simple just rubbed it back in place a few times a day. The 4th bedroom off the kitchen is smaller than the others and has a sliding door with glass portions so it’s not private. This was the only thing we wished was disclosed prior to staying since we had couples in each room and would’ve preferred everyone have equal privacy. Other than that we would absolutely stay in KC’s home again when visiting the SD area.

Ann's place was in a central location and exceptionally clean. Ann was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Her home is centrally located and in a very walkable neighborhood.

Had a great stay! We loved the area especially for visiting the zoo and the house was spacious and comfortable.

Miguel is a great host and provided everything we asked for during the stay. House was awesome as described and great place to relax and go around San Diego area. Highly recommended.

This was one of the best AirBnB’s I’ve stayed in. The place was even better than the photographs. There were lots of thoughtful touches that made it perfect for traveling with young kids. We also really enjoyed the neighborhood.

Thank you for a wonderful stay Bluewhale team! This home was the perfect base camp for all our San Diego exploring. We were a smaller group of 6 and had ample space. The backyard was beautiful and great for lounging. Only note, due the trees on the property the pool doesn’t get much direct sunlight. We visited in late September and thought we would be okay but the pool was indeed very cold! In hindsight we should have upgraded to heated pool option - something to consider if you’ll be staying in the colder months.

Brian was extremely accommodating as a host and quick to respond if we had any questions or needed assistance. Location was very accessible for our trip and loved the private back yard oasis! It was a great airbnb for our group with lots of space and beautiful layout. I would highly recommend!

Minh and Jen’s place really saved me and my mother butts. Our home unfortunately got flooded from plumbing issues and we needed a place to stay ASAP !!! There weren’t many locations that would take us in late Friday night since usually people are booked up for the holiday season. But thank god their little cozy home was open to us ! My mom and I really enjoyed our stay and especially her since it was her first air bnb ! Minh and Jen really introduced the world of air bnb’s to my mother amazingly. She loved staying there ! I recommend anyone who’s staying in San Diego to reserve with Minh and Jen’s place !

The place was awesome. Was really enjoyable staying there. Me and my family loved the place. It was cozy and we enjoyed furniture and beds there’. I actually cooked a lot and they had every pot and pan I needed. The bbq was full of propane and we used it to cook some steaks one night. The even had metal skewers in one of the kitchen drawers. I’m telling you the kitchen was fully stocked for most things you need to cook with. The host was very prompt. I actually had an accident with the blind. Let him know I had broken it by accident and if there was anything I could do to help. I also offered money to compensate him. He declined and said not to worry. I was really worried about it and he just said accidents happen and to enjoy my day. That was super nice of him not charge me anything. I also contacted them to figure out check out procedures. All I had to do “was lock the door behind me.” I’ve never had a simpler check out procedure. Because of this last two thing I would come back.

My group stayed at the surf house in December 2024 and we had a great time. The house was spacious, clean, and conveniently located to the SD convention center and Gaslamp district. One of the showers drained very slowly, and the garage opener was out of battery when we got there, but these were very small nitpicks in an overall great experience.

Beautiful home and beautiful backyard, my family absolutely loved it, and it felt such a relieve to stay at a place (even if it was just for one night) that was nice and clean after not having a good experience at another home. I will be adding to my favorites because my family absolutely loved the space and hopefully in the future we can book again! Thankyou to the host for clear instructions 😊

no issues great place to stay

Very comfortable stay at Richard's place. Check in and out was seamless. We had a car and could park right outside and the location was very central. Would recommend for sure!

We stayed for a week with seven adults and a toddler, so having four bedrooms and two bathrooms was really nice. The high chair and pack & play at the unit was also very helpful so we didn’t need to pack that for our trip. Marjorie and Dan provided communication prior, during, and upon our departure to make our stay as easy as possible. The location of the home is about 15 minutes from most attractions and restaurants with easy access to the freeway.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at Jaime's place! I would highly recommend staying here! The view was incredible and the inside was spotless. All six members of our family felt extremely comfortable staying here while we were in town for a wedding. We especially enjoyed having our morning coffee while enjoying the view from the deck! The location felt really central to everything we were doing. Jaime was extremely responsive to any questions I had. It was truly a beautiful "home away from home" for all of us!! I would give it more than five stars if I could! Thank you, Jaime, for a wonderful stay!!

What a great spot! A few steps from the bay side beach and just a block or two to the ocean side beach. Felt big and spacious, big kitchen and lots of room. Hosts were very communicative and helpful. Lots of stairs (just fyi) as it’s a 3 story but there is a big bedroom on the main floor with no stairs. Had everything we needed and more. Sweet little view out the upstairs bedroom windows and balcony. So nice to fall asleep looking the bay water and lights. So nice to be able to just walk along the water every morning and head over to the beach for sunset every night. No complaints at all! Thank you!

Sanlie was a FANTASTIC host! Very clean home! Very safe location! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is needing a rental! Sanlie was VERY responsive with any questions or concerns i had! Overall, i strongly recommend anyone needing a safe, clean home to check out this beautiful home!

Love the place! Nice having three bedrooms and a nice living room. Very clean and well maintained, GREAT location, very walkable and safe. We are planning already to return in the spring.

This great Airbnb had all we needed for our long weekend in PB. Everything was clean and uncluttered. The neighborhood was quiet and within a few mins walk to incredible restaurants and coffee shops. We were so happy to see the shed on the property offered, among other things, a frisbee, corn hole boards, and beach chairs which we enjoyed. The instructions for arrival and parking were clear and we felt so safe in this neighborhood.

We rented this for my sister’s bachelorette and it was PERFECT! It was decorated very beautifully and was clean!

I needed to relax for a getaway weekend from work so I booked this place. First of all, Zapher is an awesome host, very responsive. The location is very peaceful and quiet which is everything I needed. The hot tub was super clean as were the beds and the entire house. There is an insanely huge garden that is so neatly arranged where I had the best time reading a book. I'm looking forward for another getaway soon at this location. Such an awesome place.
