Tastefully decorated, beautifully maintained residence nestled amongst several onsen establishments. A lovely izakaya is also nearby, just a short walk away. Wonderful experience.

This is easily one of the best Airbnbs in Japan. I booked because I wanted to experience the teahouse with its thatched roof but the main house where the living-dining space and bedrooms were kept me intrigued the entire time. Esumi-san has lovingly restored what he could and added his own personal touch to everything else. I loved the traditional wood-fired goemonburo bath and fireplace, which kept me warm on a rainy night and a snowy morning. One night here is barely enough.

It was a little deep in the mountains, so it was inconvenient, but it was a nice place to stay!Anyway, it's spacious!We stayed with 5 people, so it was spacious enough to be unnecessary. Because it is a mountain, there are insects, but you can relax in nature!It is especially recommended for foreigners because you can feel the four seasons of Japan.

My four friends stayed together in the new year. The room was even better than the photos, and the furniture, kitchen utensils, etc. were very easy to use. It was a 10-15 minute drive to Izumo Taisha Shrine, and I was able to go to worship in the morning. I would like to stay there again.
