A fabulous stop on the Shimanami Kaido route, and the best AirBnB I've ever stayed in. Amazing views, luxury touches, and plenty of space after a day of riding. Far from stores and shops so be sure to stock up before going to the house.

The small town is full of historic buildings and lives at a leisurely pace. The name of the island, which can be reached in 5 minutes by ferry, is "Sensuijima" - "island where even immortals are overwhelmed by the sight"-. There is no better way to describe it. One small hint: Out of the season, it is pretty difficult to find a restaurant open after 17:00.

My dog and I had a wonderful stay! Our host was incredibly kind and met me at check in for a little tour of the place and to give some local recommendations. The view from the house is gorgeous and super convenient, as I brought my paddleboard and was able to SUP right out front. You're super close to a great little hiking trail to an overlook of all the islands and a few minutes drive from restaurants, though there is a BBQ at the house if you'd rather eat at home. I plan on coming back for a longer stay next time! One more thing to add - the host kindly offered to take some photos of my dog and I paddleboarding so I could leave with some memories. He and his neighbor were on the beach in the morning while I was out. You're getting more than the house with this stay. He's a gem.

This is an inn where you can enjoy the history and charm of Onomichi.Especially the tea room on the first floor and the large hall on the second floor have a dignified atmosphere where you can feel the 90 years of history.At the same time, the water area has been remodeled in a modern style, making it a modern and clean space.Recommended.It was too luxurious for a family of four, so next time we visit Onomichi, I'd like to stay with friends and family.Thank you very much.

100-year-old cozy town house, near rabbit island

This is a very unique and comfortable space behind a cafe/restaurant space. Please be aware that if member of your travel party have mobility concerns, there are a number of stairs and steps up/down to access things. Aside from that, it is a gorgeous, well kept space very convenient to the rabbit island. The restaurant is extremely tasty and well worth the price. Also be aware that the set menu is quite a lot of food, so definitely come hungry! Aside from being a little challenging to navigate and having a layout that is definitely not your standard hotel room, this is a lovely place to stay if you want to visit the rabbit island!

The house is beautiful with an amazing view and a lot of thoughtful touches! We stayed there as a halfway point while we did the shimanami kaido and it was a great spot to rest. The host also provided some food which was a nice surprise

One of the best places we've stayed in our decade of worldwide Airbnb experience. We greatly appreciated arriving to a warm apartment - with heated floors! - in February, during cold weather. The shower room had a heater, too. Hot water and acceptable water pressure. Good shower, overall. Good and easy to use washer plus a very nice dryer. There's a balcony where you can dry clothes, too. I appreciated the safety of a back door, most places have only one means of egress. The kitchen is well appointed, the induction stove works well and there's a nice kitchen table. Kids will love it here, there are many toys, stuffed toys, all sorts of kid touches. We didn't have any with us but it seemed very thoughtful and considerate of the hosts.   Many outlets, good and fast (33Mps download) wi-fi, nice coffee maker, toaster oven, desk lamps...all appreciated!!   The train runs nearby but the apartment is remarkably quiet. Pizzeria kuroneko is equal or better than those in Naples.

It was a very beautiful exterior and interior!I especially liked the kitchen and wood stove. The🎶 location was good and the sound of the sea was pleasant.🌊 The host handled me politely at all times!It is an inn that I want to stay again!

This stay was a very wonderful experience. The room was clean and the interior was stylish and comfortable.It was fully equipped with facilities and amenities, and I felt like I was taking care of the details. The location was also convenient, and I had no trouble going out for sightseeing and eating.The host was very responsive, responded quickly to questions and requests, which was very reassuring. We loved this place! The space had so many carefully considered details, from the wishbone chairs in the dining room to the soda bath, and the fluffy bed linens it - was an extremely relaxing place to stay. The views were amazing and we were happy just to watch the ships go by out the window. Wish we had more time there. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Would definitely stay here again.

Atsuko was an exceptional host. She went out of her way to make our stay memorable. She made a reservation for us at a restaurant and recommended a nearby onsen that was perfect after a day of biking on the Shimanami Kaido. The accommodation was comfortable, ideally located, and made for the perfect overnight stop. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Thank you for everything, Atsuko!

We enjoyed staying in a very nice location with an ocean view right in front of us. The weather was bad, so I gave up on the BBQ and cooked indoors, but I was very grateful that I was able to cook without having to buy anything extra because it was very well stocked with cooking utensils and seasonings. There were children's toys and books, hammocks and a theater screen, and lots of exciting things for children. It is an old house that is being renovated, so there were some places that felt old, but it was kept clean and there were no particular problems with the facilities. The key is handed over directly by the staff, so you need to tell them the check-in time in advance. The parking lot is diagonal, so it's hard to get big cars in, but if you don't BBQ, I think you can fit them in the garage.

I had a fantastic stay with Yumiko-san and her husband! They went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of, from arranging our pick-up at the station to giving us valuable tips on local bike rentals. They were incredibly flexible and even woke up early to help us. Their hospitality was outstanding, and they made us feel right at home. Plus, Yumiko-san’s English was great! My only regret is not staying longer. For future guests, I’d recommend setting times for pick-up, leaving, meals, shower time, and other activities to make the stay even smoother. Thank you both for a wonderful experience!

We stayed with two large dogs.The communication in advance and the explanation in the inn were polite, and the facilities and equipment were full of thoughtfulness, and we had a very pleasant time.The dog loved the steep slopes of the orchid!

Our stay was amazing, left us wishing we had stayed more than just one night. You could tell it was a newly built house from how well equipped it was! The living room + kitchen space were very comfortable hangout spots. The rooms had everything we needed, including AC and the bathroom was spacious with both a shower and a deep bathtub, right next to a very clean and we'll illuminated sink + mirror to get ready afterwards. Above all that, the host went above and beyond! From leaving some local oranges on the table for us to enjoy, to a staff member riding their bike to the train station to give a towel to my friend who had forgotten it at the house after we left, before we could even suggest going back to collect it. Truly kind and generous people, can't recommend this place enough if you're around Imabari and need a place to stay with a few people.

I went with my family of four.It was the most satisfying stay I've ever had. The children were very happy the moment they entered and were playing in the hammocks. The garden was also large and open, and the children were always on YouTube, but they naturally played catch and talked, and it was a very good time. I received a polite reply from the host right away, and I was able to communicate with them with peace of mind.I think there were guests the day before, but the kitchen and bathroom were thoroughly cleaned without a single drop of water, and I had a pleasant stay. A baby tanuki appeared in the adjacent field and seemed to be used to people.I was able to enjoy the island time of Saki Island, and I was able to get away from the daily routine and have a relaxing and rich communication with my family. Really recommended! I'd love to stay again.

This great lovingly furnished cottage is our favorite of our trip. Rei and Akira picked us up from the bus stop with the pick-up and car. The house is directly on the sea, you can hike right from home or relax in the house, cook with bluck on the sea and much more! It's a pity that we only stayed here for one night. The place invites you to linger. Warmest recommendation!

The Airbnb was a fantastic base for our bike ride over 2 days. The hosts were extremely responsive and we had the whole place to ourselves. The kitchen is really well equipped, it is about a 15 minute bike ride from the supermarket A-Land which is well stocked. The tv had YouTube and Netflix, and the WiFi was fast. Everything was really clean and comfortable. I highly recommend. Kai was helpful to let us in and do the check in. Thanks!
