Treehouse vacation rentals in Northern California

Tanya’s place is such a beautiful cabin to stay and enjoy the forest. Conveniently close to Yosemite, and right by a beautiful lake. Would love to come back for even longer!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this cabin. We love this area, and the cabin is in a very peaceful neighborhood with close proximity to Pinecrest Lake and downtown Twain Harte. The neighborhood is nice for taking a stroll if you don’t mind hills. The cabin has plenty of space for one couple, and it has 2 bedrooms but might feel a bit cramped for more than 3 people if you’re planning to spend a lot of time hanging out in the cabin. It was perfect for the two of us!

One thing to note it is 3 stories. You walk in can climb left on the loft. Then down stairs to kitchen and living room then down more stairs to bedrooms. We had an awesome stay and was really close to Yosemite valley. We did have an issue with the fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarms being out of battery but we let them know and they were fixed asap. Will definitely be recommended and staying there again!

This river cottage was amazing! Quintessential Sonoma county living. We had a great time relaxing by the river and enjoying all healdsburg has to offer. The house was well appointed, all of the furnishings were very comfortable. WiFi was great for working remote. We wished the windows upstairs had real screens, but the curtains helped let us get some air in at night. Hope to visit again soon!

Everything was great! Place has unique climate and it is very cozy. Sara and Tony was responding very quickly and helped us with everything. Place looks so much better than in the pictures :) We really recommend this house!

A beautiful home with all the amenities you need. A short drive to Mariposa Grove and Yosemite Valley. We had a great time and would love to be back!

This place is magical. There’s a creek in the backyard and surrounded by trees. You feel so far away from everything, but there’s a grocery not too far. The coffee shop right down the street is also very good. 10/10 would come back

Likely once an incredible location, severe fire damage has affected the roads, the views, and the work that Dan has put into the place. And it is an incredible amount of work, the place has amazing buildings with incredible mosaics, a beautiful community that is quietly thriving even in winter after such a setback. The amount of fire damage was truly shocking to me, coming from a more northern region of the US where we don't often get such extreme damage. I would have to amend his recommendations on the road, it's stable but much affected by fire damage and mud coming down the mountain. Trees have and certainly will keep falling across the road over the next few years, take it very slow as the edges are steep. Everything and everyone we met were warm and friendly but we missed the host! I would love to stay here again in the summer to see the activity in full swing and maybe even be a part of the recovery.

This is a lovely place with such historic charm. Truly a gem in Modesto and really cool design that needs to be kept up. There are somethings that need to be attended to, and I’m confident they will make changes noted to them. I rented it the night before for the next day so I know that played a role and at the same time, if it’s available then it should be ready. We didn’t get to utilize all the things shared as cool features as they weren’t working. Overall, I would stay again on the premise that certain things are fixed as it’s a beautiful home near my family.

Brian’s place is great place to spend some relaxing family time. The cabin had everything we needed and it’s just a few steps from Scott’s Flat reservoir. The view and surroundings are beautiful! Brian was super responsive. We will definitely go back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Yurts! The pics online don't do them justice. They are bigger than they look in the pics. The rooms were comfy and clean. The kitchen had more appliances and amenities than most places. Coffee, sugars, spices, etc. Plenty of dishes and cookware. My favorite part was looking up from the bed at night through the dome to see the trees, stars and occasional airplanes overhead. If you are looking for an amazing unique experience, you won't be disappointed. Eoin was easy to work with and we loved everything about this place!

Doug was a wonderful host. He greeted us upon arrival and explained the layout. The cabin is gorgeous with lots of windows and sunlight, but also private and secluded. Outdoor shower was a fun experience. Loved our stay, would stay again! The robes were a nice touch.

Crysta and her co-host were amazing! The place was even looked better in person. I highly recommend this tree house for a cozy and peaceful getaway. Close to great restaurant 15mins drive. Going to come back here again!

Our stay at the treehouse was magical. It was like walking into a fairytale. We wished we could have stayed longer and hope to go back again sometime.

The place is a treehouse, so if you are looking for something that is above and beyond in comfort - be more realistic. We booked the treehouse because our 9 year old daughter really wanted that. It had hot running water, a space for everyone to sleep, and it felt safe. Rusty was really responsive and pointed us toward places to eat in town as well as how to best navigate Yosemite. It was a great trip and a great stay.

The place was amazing, my bf and I stayed here for our anniversary due to the location of how close it was to the redwoods. The place was unique and cute. The dogs and kitties were so friendly and made great hosts. Much better than a generic hotel. The upstairs was cozy and warm even during December, very well insulated. The hot tub and view of the night sky with a clear view of the stars was a great bonus! Town is friendly and folks are great. Amazing for time away from cities and the rush of everyday life. The place was clean and accommodating. Check-in and check-out was very easy and seamless! I definitely recommend this place for a fun little getaway!

Such a wonderful and magical spot. Every detail is so tasteful and it’s so fun and serene to be in the woods. We were worried about the cold and rain in the forecast, but stayed cozy in the tent with the heater. Thank you Bethany!

This was hands down the coolest Airbnb we have ever stayed in, and it was all built by Robin and Mark themselves, who are fabulous hosts. They are so warm and welcoming, and you can tell they truly care about their guests and treat them like family. They were communicative and provided clear instructions on how to get there. This was a perfect one night getaway from San Francisco, and you can't beat the incredible views. Robin and Mark make sure you have everything you need in the tree house, including heat, electricity, water (to drink), silverware, coffee/tea, and even homemade muffins--and they will even send you up a bottle of their wine on their pulley system ;) They have a private bathroom with all the amenities you need, and it's just a short walk from the tree house. They provide a lantern but would be helpful to bring a headlamp to make the ladder climb a little easier in the dark! If you're considering staying here, just do it! Thanks Robin and Mark for a wonderful stay!

Wow! Wow!Wow!…. Absolutely loved this hidden gem! The views are breathtaking & if you want a life changing experience then take the plunge! 😀 Yes the accommodation is basic but that is the charm & beauty of this place! We loved every minute! & zero light pollution means the night sky is phenomenal! Can’t wait until the next time! x

My sister and I spent 3 nights in this lovely cabin so we could explore Lassen Volcanic National Park nearby for 2 full days. The beds were very comfortable. I slept in the loft amongst the trees, which was a delightful, unique experience lying in bed and being able to see stars through the trees. Note that the loft is basically a steep ladder, so differently-abled people might not be able to get up there. The place was clean, charming, and close to the park- about 15-20 minutes to the entrance booth. We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. So quiet!!!!

Very beautiful scenery and very beautiful modern home. Clean with all amenities you need during your stay. Plenty of sleeping space and kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Our favorite part was definitely the huge deck that surrounds the whole house and the X-Large jacuzzi. Also the large glass doors and windows were definitely a hit. Definitely would highly recommend.

Cherie was a terrific host. Ill be completely fair about this place… its a perfect place if you love the great outdoors and dont mind a real climb up a lot of stairs. My girlfriend is in her 3rd trimester and im in pretty good shape and didn't find the climb to be too much. We loved the space and felt right at home. Its an older dwelling, but charming and 100% what I was hoping it would be: a treehouse where I could recharge and renew myself. I went foraging for firewood and had a nice time walking through the neighborhood. Ate some great food nearby and even was given a discount code by host at another local spot: great service! The shower/bathroom downstairs is new and more modern than the upstairs. Both floors are great overall and I found myself making plans for future visits with larger family groups of 6-8. I have never booked an Airbnb twice, but im confident ill be back again sometime in the future. Its that awesome.
