Vacation rentals with a fireplace in North Shields

Rachel’s place was comfy, well stocked and equipped, we were grateful for the milk left for us as we arrived late, the house had everything we needed, it is close to local bus routes, about 20minutes walk to the local Arnison shopping centre or a nice walk along a tarmac track to Durham centre which is about a mile. Rachel communicated well and was very accommodating.

We had a lovely stay. The house is immaculate and so beautifully furnished. It was also really well kitted out with everything you needed. The location is great and so close to the beach, as well as plenty of nice cafes and restaurants. We were all a little reluctant to leave! Thanks

Ellen's house was the perfect size for us. The heating was on when we arrived, it was cosy and warm. There was milk in the fridge. Ellen is a great host - easy-going, helpful, friendly. We really hope to stay again.

Rose cottage was amazing. It’s the most beautiful little place, very romantic and cosy. Was so much more than we expected. Wendy was a great host, checking in and offering any help often. The information book about the cottage and area goes beyond and is so helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here is staying in the Durham area.

Beautiful house with lovely decorations/ extra touches such as candles, cosy blankets etc. The log burner made the house feel cosy and there was plenty of logs provided. The kitchen/dining area was very well equiped with plenty of plates etc. There were also lots of extras provided such as washing up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only thing we needed to buy was some dishwasher tablets. The bathroom was probably the one area that wasn't 5 star as the hot tap handle kept falling off. The shower was also very noisy and leaked so this could only be used when everyone was awake (if you have any older members in your party they will probably need to use the ensuite shower as the shower in the bathroom is over the bathtub which has very high sides so is tricky to get in/ out of). Overall a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. Thank you.

Beautiful place, felt like we were in our own house. Beds were very comfortable. Even though there is a school at the bottom of the road we never heard them at all not even at break or lunch times. Very peaceful area. This is only a suggestion could possibly do with a table and chairs to eat your meals as when sitting on the couch and trying to eat using the coffee table it is very low down. Even if it was a pull out or folded table and chairs would help.

A well appointed, beautiful home. The kids’ bedroom was fantastic, so many toys! My son is autistic and there was so much to keep him occupied, plus the house was free of clutter and potential hazards. The location is brilliant, so close to a stunning beach. We will definitely be returning.

This small, but well equipped, cottage in a beautiful location was in ideal position for visiting relatives who live in the area. Despite the December weather the place was warm and comfortable. Good facilities for visitors nearby such as shops and takeaways.

We really loved our stay at Marie's place. It was really easy to find and just off the bus route so quick to get to and from the centre of town and other locations. It was warm and clean, stocked with little thoughtful bits like bread and milk, lots of extra bedding if you needed it, towels and more. The rooms were comfy, spacious and full of storage, and at night it was peaceful to sleep in. Marie is an extremely considerate and proactive host. We would definitely stay there again!

Our second time staying here and as great as last time. Comfortable flat, walkable into central Newcastle, with some lovely little touches such as a welcome hamper & gorgeous toiletries. Carla has great recommendations for the area & a wonderful base to explore the north east with easy access to the A1. Definitely would book again next time we're visiting Newcastle

Without a doubt one of the best airbnb experiences. The apartment was so perfect, beautiful interiors and very comfortable. Delighted to see all the eco-friendly cleaning products. Location was extremely convenient and we could walk everywhere. Lisa was such a great host - friendly, responsive and helped us with suggestions for eating out. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in Durham, and highly recommend to other guests.

Linda‘s place was extremely comfortable and well positioned. It was close to the Metro. A Sainsbury supermarket and three quaint pubs. Linda greeted us on our arrival and informed us about the highlights in Newcastle to visit. We took her advice and had such an enjoyable time that we would love to come back and explore it more..

We booked this location specifically to go seaglass hunting and it was absolutely perfect for us. Everything about the apartment was lovely. Spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. Debra communicated with us during our stay to check that everything was ok. Seaham itself is a great little town with lots of amenities close by. If you stay here you will not be disappointed. We appreciated the extra touches as well such as snacks, tea/coffee. Easy to park right outside - warm and cosy, fantastic sofa! And all you see in the photos is genuine. A great experience and would 100% book to stay here again. Thank you Debra !
