Memorial Blvd W. Dwntwn w/ Parking & Best location

GabrielaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Great stay with family ! The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere and didn’t need to drive at all, which made the trip so much more relaxing. There was even a guide book provided with recommendations if you never been to the area or are just looking for something to do. The beds were comfortable, and the place had everything we needed. Having a driveway was a nice perk, especially in such a busy area during holiday weekends or during event weekends. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in a convenient, comfortable, and walkable location.

Private Sunny Unit near Newport/ New Split AC!

GretchenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My daughter and I met there for a long weekend. Anne was very flexible and helpful getting my daughter all checked in since she arrived much earlier than I did (due to an unavoidable travel delay). The place was very close to all the things we wanted to go see. The neighborhood was very nice. The beds were comfortable. The shower had great water pressure too. We would definitely choose to stay there again!

Rustic Retreat, unique home, minutes to Newport, RI

JoelleRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Stayed here one night with our two small kids and we felt right at home. Such a cute, rustic vibe. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought into the place. Had access to everything we needed. The power went out briefly due to an issue in town and they were super responsive, ready to hook up the generator if needed. They were also flexible with check out, which helped us a lot. Would definitely stay here again if in the Newport area!

GiaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Was perfect for a wedding we were attending nearby. Lovely location, cozy cottage and super clean. We had our newborn with us and we were nervous for our first trip away from home, but they provided everything we needed to feel at ease! Alison was always extremely responsive and loved the guide they sent before our stay to help know expectations and the area, etc. Would highly recommend!

Jolee Cottage, near Newport, Narragansett, Beaches

SophiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We needed a quiet night away and this was the PERFECT getaway. It was my birthday weekend and Jolee left a wonderful card mentioning such. Such a sweet gesture. The views!! From both windows facing driveway you could see the bridge as well as all the boats. All restaurants were within walking distance and did not disappoint for our quick stay. HIGHLY recommend this listing and we cannot wait to frequent. Thank you Jolee!

The house was wonderful and in a great location. Communication was clear with the hosts. Only feedback we would give was having more items in the kitchen like sheet pans, Tupperware, something to wipe the counters down, etc.

We had a fantastic stay at Cape Newport for a wedding weekend! The home was spotless, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay! The location was perfect—just a short drive to downtown Newport and close to the wedding venue, which made everything so easy. Our host was responsive, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. You can tell they truly care about creating a great guest experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Newport—whether for a wedding, a weekend getaway, or just to explore the area. We’d definitely stay here again!

Waterfront Secluded Home with Dock

SusanRating, 5 stars5 days ago
I hate to say too many great things since I kind of feel like I want to keep this a secret. This is our second time staying here. The location is awesome — spectacular views from any of the many windows in this contemporary style house. The beds are decent and there’s lots of beach stuff (chairs, towels, umbrella) plus kayaks w/life vests. Well equipped kitchen and good size dining room table. And did I mention the views?
of course I did, but it’s worth mentioning again! A great beach about a mile away. Dining choices are limited now because of the tragic fire at the Matunuck Oyster Bar a few nights before our arrival. Our host was kind enough to send us an email prior to our arrival to inform us of this sad event. We had reservations there for our first night at the house. Since we are pretty casual, the food at Captain Jack’s and Jim’s Dock is decent
but sure missed Matunuck Oyster Bar and our hearts go out to all the staff as the busy summer season was about to begin.

EmilyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Host was responsive and helpful, instructions were clear. The apartment was clean and very nice, we enjoyed eating dinner on the porch. It was easy to drive to downtown Providence and Gillette Stadium. It was easy to get to and a lot of space for parking (we all arrived mostly separately and there was space to park all 3 cars). Also, we were all very impressed by the shower and the water pressure lol. A great location and great Airbnb!! I would def recommend this spot and would come back! 😊

~"Old Barbershop" Thames Condo+Parking!

YogitaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We rented Kathi's place for our girls trip to Newport! It was plenty big and spacious to comfortably accommodate our group of 5. The best part is the prime location! Couldn't have asked for a better one - the Bodhi spa is right across the street, good restaurants that we could just walk to, plenty of shopping on the street. Kathi was always very responsive and even gave us early check-in, which we truly appreciated. Having free parking is a bonus on Thames St, you know if you have ever been to Newport! Overall we all had a fabulous time. Thanks Kathi.

Downtown/Federal Hill On BroadwayWalk everywhere!

PatrickRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Pros: This place was amazing. It has 3 large bedrooms: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins. It fully sleeps 6 vs many places say they do cramming people onto double beds, sleeper sofas and couches. But these were all very comfortable beds with lots of space in the rooms. Great kitchen and living room. 2 large bathrooms. Cons: It's 2/3 below the sidewalk and is on a corner, so there is definitely street noise, so bring ear plugs. We were so happy with this place and I would definitely stay there again and recommend highly!

Your guide to Newport

All About Newport

On the southern tip of Aquidneck Island in Rhode Island Sound, Newport is famous for its scenic landscapes, rich sailing history, and renowned music scene. Located southeast of Providence, Newport is easily reachable from Boston and New York City. Its yacht-filled harbor has played host to the world’s oldest and most famous sailing competition over the years, and the town is also the site of Naval Station Newport, a crucial Navy training center housing the United States Naval War College, and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.

In downtown, 18th-century clapboard houses line the narrow streets, whereas Bellevue Avenue is home to Gilded Age mansions, some of which have become museums. Several public and private beaches welcome visitors, with Easton Beach being the most popular for swimming and kite-surfing. Just outside of town, you’ll find picturesque vineyards offering wine tasting and alfresco dining. And to the north, Colt State Park offers walking paths, playing fields, and an open-air chapel.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Newport

Like many New England towns, Newport's weather can vary throughout the year. Summers are pleasant with warm temperatures, sunny days, and an abundance of events to keep you busy, including the city’s world-renowned folk and jazz festivals and international tennis tournament in July. As temperatures cool, fall foliage is on full display in late September, early October. Enjoy a scenic drive to take in the colors. While winters are cold and snowy, it may be the best time to enjoy your Newport vacation rental and a cozy dinner at one of the local vineyards. May brings warmer temperatures, drier weather, and delicious oysters and chowders from local growers and vendors at the annual Newport Oyster & Chowder Festival.
