House vacation rentals in Nevada City

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was exactly as pictured and very comfortable. Our boys loved the upstairs room with the two twin beds (although if they were smaller I might have worried about them on the stairs, as there is no railing for the last several steps). We loved the cozy fireplace and the hot tub, and enjoyed not having to use our car at all once we arrived— plenty to see and do in walking distance, including a nice park for the dog and kids. Catherine stands out as a host who feels a special connection to the home she shares on Airbnb. She clearly loves the place and is invested in the best possible outcome for everyone. It's more than just a business to her. We did some cooking and baking in the kitchen and felt wowed by how well stocked the kitchen is. It had everything we needed and then some. The home maintains the charm of its history, which we loved. Downtown Grass Valley is so, so nice, and it's just a short walk from A Victorian Rose. I especially appreciated Catherine's recommendation of Caroline's Cafe. That's our kind of cafe, top to bottom. We visited at least four times! Grass Valley itself is such a lovely destination. Five stars all around!

Vicky's place was awesome, perfect for a family and friends weekend. The kitchen is well stocked and we loved the huge dining table. Beds are comfortable and the couch was big enough for all of us to fit after a long day of skiing! The house is in beautiful, serene surrounding, with huge backyard. We will be back.

We had such a great stay! The property was perfect for our family getaway—our kids especially loved the trampoline and the hot tub (they barely wanted to come inside!). Our Doberman, Lincoln, had the best time playing fetch in the large open space—it was such a treat to find a spot that’s truly dog-friendly. Melissa was a delightful host—super responsive and thoughtful. She even set up a fun scavenger hunt for the kids to find hidden gnomes around the property, which they absolutely loved. It’s little touches like that that made our stay really special. We’d love to come back again. Highly recommend!

I love this place so much! This was my second little retreat here this season. Always clean, comfy, and beautiful, and a wonderful place to relax. Asha is a lovely host—very helpful, responsive, and considerate. When there was a minor issue with one of the appliances, she got it fixed right away. I’m sure I’ll be back!

A lovely spacious home that accommodated 6 of us comfortably and then some! We are an old group of friends that loves to cook together and the kitchen had everything we needed! The backyard is lovely and we enjoyed our morning cup of coffee out there while listening to the birds. It’s fenced in so it was perfect for our 3 small dogs ( (all under 12 Lbs) We didn’t use the pool but it’s wonderful! Instead we drove about 30-40 minutes to enjoy the South Yuba River and the distance to Purdon Crossing and Edward’s crossing was perfect for us! Grocery stores are about 10 Minutes away so were able to stock up once we arrived in Grass Valley. Overall a well loved home that made our visit so great! Thank you Patrick!

We had such a wonderful stay at Clare's home. The hosue is comfortable and the pool was perfect for beating the summer heat! The door to the pool is off the family rooom area but it is easily closable for keeping young kids away from teh pool if needed. The house is tastefully decorated with some homey additions like books and toys. We found it difficult to choose where to sit-- outside on the front porch or our by the pool lounge area. Although the house is not close enough to town to walk the location is very central and wooded. The view out the back is really wonderful. This is a great place for a family or anyone looking for an authentic Nevada City stay. Highly recommend!

Epic, epic, epic! Panoramic view forever is an understatement! We wish we had gotten married at Linda’s gorgeous vineyard retreat! The top of the hill house is just steps away from their vineyard tasting room on the property! Can’t wait to come back!

Great location, close to downtown NC but also very peaceful in the woods. Spacious home with high ceiling and good amenities, including pool and jacuzzi. The only downside is the living room was pretty dark and no bright light for reading at night.

We had a awesome time, our host provided great communication and the house was exactly what we hoped for. The weather was hot and the pool was the perfect, AC was cold for when we couldn't be in the pool. Fun to play pool, chess, cards and watch movies in the theatre room. Great kitchen with everything you need. Thank you for having us.

We had the most wonderful time in Marilyn and David's gorgeous home. The home is very large and accommodated our large group perfectly with plenty of large gathering spaces and private areas as well. The pool and hot tub are awesome. It even has a phonograph which was awesome and we enjoyed and danced to!! The entire property has a panoramic view of the foothills and is breathtaking and perfect for star gazing. Highly recommend!! Thanks so much for everything!!! The Wheelers

We had a wonderful 2-day stay at the Nest. It was a beautiful place: comfortable and well-decorated and designed. We loved everything about our stay - especially the lovely deck and peaceful garden where we enjoyed lounging. John was super friendly and a great communicator. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

We enjoyed the stay—it was spotless and very peaceful! The checkout process was very thorough. Just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly, that way you won't get charged! Overall, it was a great stay!

Paulo’s house is very beautiful and in a quiet location surrounded by a quiet forest. He was very accommodating with flexible check in/out and making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the cozy fire and playing board games and doing puzzles. Downtown is a short drive away and has lots to do! Thank you for sharing your home Paul, we had a great time!

We had the best Christmas at Jennifer’s Airbnb. Our daughter only had a few days off. The 1:15 drive from the Chico area to the Nevada City Airbnb was perfect. Jennifer’s place IS exactly like the photos. The three wonderful bedrooms with comfortable beds, cozy linens, plenty of space were perfect for us. The cute living room with fireplace, super comfortable couch, and side chairs was a great place to play games, watch Christmas movies and chill by the fireplace. The bonus back room with the coziest corner was like a Scottish snug. A perfect place to have a quiet morning with coffee and a book. We brought our dog and he loved everything. The fenced in yards made it easy for quick outside trips to do his business. We had loads of rain so we missed sitting outside, but the cute seating area will be perfect in warm weather. We walked into town several days/nights. Nevada City is awesome. Great restaurants, bars, wine tasting. We will be back again. Loved our stay. Thank you Jennifer.

My family went to Lake Wildwood to visit some family and luckily found Iris' house. Her place was ideal! Comfortable and close to a park on the lake, with a wonderful deck to sit on and share about old times as the sun set behind the oaks. And Iris was as available and helpful as you could hope for. We will return for sure.

This was a great house with a lot of amenities! This location is great for a large group. The kitchen and living space are massive! The kitchen is a chef’s dream. The entire house was very clean. The host was responsive, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Our group will come back to this house.

We had an amazing stay! Beautiful property with access to various trails and especially the water stream. Peaceful environment and ample space for our group of 9 adults, 4 kids and a pet! We loved the deck and luckily weather was good during the last few days of 2024. Nevada City downtown is a short drive. We are already planning for another stay during summer months here. Alicia is a great host - very responsive and her instructions were clear.
