Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nantan

Very clean and traditional home near Nijo Castle. Ruru is a great host - very responsive and proactive with communications. The house is located in a residential area and not that close to the main sites apart from Nijo Castle so we needed up getting taxis there or you can get the bus. There is however a 7/11 at the end of the road which is useful! We stumbled across Bar Quasimodo which is great and there seemed to be lots of other bars and restaurants around it.

The interior is quite well designed and the facilities are easy to use.The boss was very enthusiastic and patient with our questions about the surrounding restaurants, and helped us book the restaurant.All in all, it feels great, and will consider booking this room when you come to Kyoto.

It was a very spacious living room for 6 people to relax like in the house and enjoy. The place was also tidy and a pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

Beautiful old house in such a nice location, everything within walking distance. Staying in the house was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Everything was perfect, we would love to stay again. Keiko is a lovely host. Thank you for this beautiful experience.

I used it together for 8 people, but the surroundings were quiet, the sauna was good, and I had a pleasant stay.

The house was located in an area, close to the metro and some good restaurants. It allowed us to easily get to the metro and go to different places. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It comfortably hosted our group of 7 people. The host was proactive, communicated very well and was such a kind lady. I highly recommend her house if you are coming to Kyoto.

We at a great stay. The location is optimal with only a 10 minute walk from one of Osaka's biggest stations. This made it a top location for us to reach Kyoto, Kobe, Nara and places further beyond without the need to book a hotel at each location. An Osaka Metro and Hankyu station are also reachable in a 10 minute walk. The room itself didn't let us down. It had all the listed ameneties and was very clean. The bathroom, while not very spacious was big enough for our needs. That is compared to other places we stayed at. The host was also responsive and friendly in chat. The beds were comfortable. I together with two of my friends stayed at this place and having 3 beds, one for each of us, was amazing. I will even say that this place has been the best place I booked on AirBNB so far considering the price. To the host, thank you for having us!

This place was great. Within walking distance of basically everything. Even the Fushimi Inari Taisha was only like a 45 minute walk from the Airbnb. But I tend to walk everywhere and sight see along the way. Plenty of shopping districts and restaurants nearby. And it was right on the Kamo river with a view and chairs from the balcony area. As far as the Airbnb room itself, it was as advertised and had everything I needed a room to have. Overall a good place for a solo traveler like myself.

Thanks to the host for giving us this opportunity, if I ever go to this city again, it's a home I can choose

Cozy and comfy stay would definitely recommend for longer as well as short stay.

A beautiful, cozy apartment in the heart of Gion district Kyoto. Location is excellent. We enjoyed seeing geishas and meikos regularly on evening walks just outside the apartment. It was close to hiking trails, many sightseeing destinations, trains, restaurants, etc. In the heart of everything. And yet super quiet, being on 4th floor with no neighbors (above or on sides) in an alley. Only downside is that the kitchen is very efficient, single burner, no counter space, etc. But you should be mostly eating out anyway. Also there is a red light at night in the main room from the fire alarm—we had to cover it with a jacket to sleep. Not sure what other reviewers thought was deceptive—it was as I expected, and honestly the view is phenomenal. Yes there is a parking lot but you can hardly see it and beyond that are the beautiful Kyoto hills and tops of temples peaking out. Tatami room was wonderfully cozy. Furniture and linens were quality. Stayed super warm inside. We miss it already!!

This is my second trip. Last time it was one night, so this time I stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the full camping and facilities.♪ The staff was also friendly, and they sent us a photo of the current facility the day before their stay. It was just snowing, so I was able to provide tools to play with the snow, and the children were very satisfied. I'd like to use it again Thank you.

Very clean spacious place. We had a nice time with family. There are strict rules about light and noise, but we were fine about it. Good size of fridge and plenty of dishes. But we need more kitchen items like a frying pan. They had only one saucepan with different size of lid. We couldn’t cook anything there. Seven eleven was really close to the house. It was really convenient. One apology about how we left the house, all family became flu.. so we couldn’t tidy up as we wish to.

This time, I went to Kansai with my friends, stayed at Xiaodai's house for three nights, it was really great, the elegant Japanese tatami villa, the interior is also beautiful, the living inside is very comfortable, the villa is located in the rich part of Kyoto, the environment is very good, although it is not in the center of the city, the amenities are very good, the subway and convenience stores are within a very short walk.And then, Sister Dai is really super nice!Very enthusiastic. He answered all kinds of questions on WeChat before checking in. He drove to Kyoto to pick us up at Yamashina Station on the day of arriving, and then gave us a detailed introduction of how to play in Kyoto. How to take a car, let us contact her on WeChat at any time when we encounter problems. The last night also took out a treasure of wine. It made me feel like a host, but a good friend who has been hosting me in Japan for many years.

It was a nice, almost four storey apartment. The place is 20 mins away from the station. But it was a nice walk from the station if the weather is good. The view from the place is great. You can see the lake and the mountain. We love the nature the most.

The owner's elegant and lovely personality everywhere, such as the building, garden, and facilities, and it was a very beautiful place to stay. Your explanation and response were also very polite and helpful. The BBQ and bonfire in the garden with the scent of golden rhinoceros were fun and exceptional.The breakfast you provided was also very delicious, and everyone had a great trip from beginning to end. We'd love to visit again if we get the chance.

It was a very spacious and beautiful place to stay. There are plenty of activities to play in the garden, so you can enjoy karaoke and games indoors. I used it as a family of 6. It was a place that wasn't enough for one night. I'd like to use it again next time
