The location for the house was in a quiet residential area which is accessible to convenience store within walking time of 2 min. The supermarket was about 5 min walk and if you want behind the road, it is much quieter and safer. Host was very responsive and gone out of her way to fetch use from the home to the station and vice versa everyday when requested. She even offered good insider tips to travel with ease. She even help us to buy over our ICOCA cards without the need to get it refund in the airport. She also helped us reserved the return train ticket with seats. The home is very clean and I am impressed by the water pressure from the tap for shower. Much better than those in the hotel. She even proved 2 sets of foot wear, one for within the hour and 1 for outside the house. The location is definitely a good place if you like serene and peace. For those who drive you can park beside the home and the highway is a stone throw away. I am very happy staying for 6 nights.

Lovely traditional Japanese experience. Our host was most accommodating. Ideal location to shopping and popular sites in Kyoto. Neighborhood experience with locals that was unparalleled. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto who are adventurous!

I love everything about this place! Very spacious house for 7 of us. Very clean and tidy! Two toilets are plus point. Koriyama is very friendly and help us with the check in process. Showed us everything about the house which help us a lot later. Walkable to Randen and Hankyu station. Close to so many konbinis, malls and grocery stores.

They greeted me at check-in and politely explained the room.They also responded to my requests during my stay.The living room was spacious on the top floor where you can see Kobe Port and enjoy the day and night view.Above all, I chose it because it was close to a relative's house.

Host was probably the nicest host we had in Japan. He also worked with us and let us check in early and gave us a room with a nice view of Kobe. Would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ken’s place! To start, he was incredibly responsive and informative before we even arrived with all the instructions we could need to find the place with ease plus sent a whole list of fun things to do and restaurants to try. The location can’t be beat as it is incredibly walkable or with easy access to both bus and train stops. The stay was very clean and just what we needed for a few days in Kyoto! Would absolutely stay again!

He gave me another room saying that the room I was originally going to stay couldn't be done because of the construction. The interior was different from the photos, but the view from the living room and bedroom was really nice. There was no need to go to the observation deck, and it was nice to be able to just see the morning sunrise from the accommodation at a glance at the night view. The location is a neighborhood with family homes, so it's a little far from the main street tourist attractions, but there's a bus stop to go to Sannomiya right in front of the house, so I went around comfortably. First of all, the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. The house is a bit old apartment type accommodation, but it's clean and has everything you need. The convenience store is also a 5-minute walk away. The host came out and greeted me in person when I arrived, and he spoke good English, so it was easy to communicate, and he recommended places to see nearby. They also say that they will adjust the checkout time if you need it. The downtown area won't be as comfortable as the accommodation, but first of all, the view was so fantastic that I absolutely loved it!

Great location, lots of restaurants and bars for night life, convenient access to bus and train stations within walking distance. Only negative is that the apartment is on the 4th floor, and there is no elevator. I didn't realize that at the time of booking, and it was difficult on my sick dad's knees. Still, it a great place with a great location and sufficient space and beds for you to be comfortable during your stay.

Three families, six adults, six children, one night and two days.The kids were excited about the swing and wood deck, and they continued to play from start to finish.I used the pizza kettle as an option.It was easy to handle and very enjoyable with check-in instructions.Including the bedrooms, we were able to sleep with five children.I was very satisfied with the reviews from others, and I wanted to stay more than enough for one night and two days.

It was a nice, almost four storey apartment. The place is 20 mins away from the station. But it was a nice walk from the station if the weather is good. The view from the place is great. You can see the lake and the mountain. We love the nature the most.
