The place is located right by Yasaka Shrine, which makes it really convenient for exploring the Gion area. In addition, it's 10 minutes walking distance to a couple train stations, so getting around the Kyoto area was pretty easy too. The place is spacious and beautifully decorated. I highly recommend considering this place if you're looking to stay in Gion!

Was a great stay and a good location!

Location is amazing juz 7min away from the train station, next to 7-E and some convenient store. The room is well taken clean and kitchen utensils are complete with things like microwave and more. Thank you to the host for being attentive and keeping the environment clean.

We had an early check-in and our host received us with a warm cup of tea. Gave us local recommendations and showed us how to get around. It was really close to the Kyoto station and a comfortable place to stay in.

Cozy and clean. Near station, bus stop, convenience store. Good laundering machine. Yusuke is very helpful and responsive. Great experience.

Stayed for around a month. The room is as advertised and includes all the amenities you may need. The location is very close to the Kamo river and 30 minutes walk to major temples and attractions. The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. At the end of my stay, I had an injury that required some medical assistance. Mayumi was incredibly helpful driving me to the hospital and going above and beyond anything that may be expected of a host. I would stay here again.

The host was very welcoming. He picked us up at the bus stop and offered us snacks. The location is not far from the bus stops. So it can be accepted even it is far from the downtown. Very cost-effective.

We loved our time at this location! The room was everything we needed. We loved the balcony and comfortable amenities. The hosts were very communicative and allowed us to drop our bags off early. Very nice location near town and food. Great airbnb to explore Kyoto and relax.

Very lovely place! As the description mentions there is no elevator so it would be a bit difficult to carry huge suitcases to the airbnb so possibly pick a room on the second floor instead. Besides that it was very lovely and a very convenient location. The host was wonderful and helped explain everything clearly!

We had a wonderful five days at this place! It looks like a small traditional Japanese apartment, which adds a lot of charm to the experience. Everything was impeccable, clean and thoughtful. Beds on futons were comfortable and arranged in a very neat way. There was nothing missing to make our stay enjoyable, and the authentic atmosphere of the place really marked us. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to experience an immersion in Japanese culture with all the comforts you need. Thanks again for our perfect stay!

The place is conveniently located near Hanazono Station, just 15–20 minutes from Kyoto Station, making it highly accessible. It’s clean and quiet, providing a comfortable environment for your stay. However, a potential downside is the lack of early check-in options and no facility to leave your luggage at the accommodation. Considering that Hanazono is 20 minutes from Kyoto Station, storing your luggage at Kyoto Station and then exploring the area can be inconvenient. While this might not be a dealbreaker for everyone, it’s definitely something to consider when planning your trip.

Excellent place. Walk to Gion/Kiyomizu-dera temple. A little bit small for two people.

The house is very clean, convenient location, ard 5-7 mins walk to the station, Lawson is nearby just 1 min walk, very cozy place to stay in, definitely recommend! :)

Nori and Fumi were absolutely amazing, from the beginning to the end! They even received our luggages ahead of time and picked us up from the train station. The apartment was beyond our expectations; the bed was so comfortable and the biggest one we had in Japan, spacious living space and kitchen. The ability to do laundry was just icing on the cake! Breakfast was served every morning and it was delicious! Nori gave us an option of doing a traditional Japanese or American breakfast at the cool cafe. The location was right outside of the chaos of Kyoto but very close to the train/bus, restaurants, conventions stores, etc. Fumi took us to a local spot every morning and dropped us off closer to where we wanted to be and gave us recs! The experience with Fumi and Nori was just invaluable. We long to come back and visit them as they are just the most wonderful humans! It was great getting to know them and making new friends in Japan; they added so much to our trip. Thank you so much
