Vacation rentals with breakfast in Nakagyo Ward

Aunt Yoko was very welcoming and also helped us communicate with the next hotel. It was really helpful to😁 welcome a friend from China to stay here in Kyoto. Aunt Yoko is very👍 confused about how to play.I can book in Kyoto again in the future, and I will definitely give it a priority.

I stayed here solo and the place is quite big for one person, not to mention everything is beautiful! The space is pretty much like a boutique hotel, except even better because Yoko San is an incredibly kind host that’s not just taking care of a beautiful guesthouse but also cultivating community and helping all of us play a part in appreciating the craft history and culture of Kyoto. I kept reading Kyoto is over crowded but this neighbourhood was serene and it really made me appreciate the city even more now, I also met some lovely people and we even had a special event on New Year’s Eve. There’s just too many kind gestures to mention, even at 7 am Yoko san dropped me off at the nearest train station… so so so much value and honestly a traveler’s dream because you get your privacy but also a wonderful community to get involved with if you would like and all in a stunning space. Thank you so much!

Thank you to the host for the hospitality, dedication, enthusiasm for my 2 daughters when they stayed here. They were extremely happy and pleased to have been received, taken care of by the host. This house is very new, clean and very convenient to visit in Kyoto. If there is a chance we will stop by again. Don't know what to say more than thank the host very much and highly recommend everyone should stay here.

The best homestay I've had every day is that the host's breakfast is too delicious, and I can't eat such good food in the restaurant!

I had such an amazing stay here! I stayed for about 1 month, and enjoyed every second of it. The house is themed beautifully with British decorations, so I felt right at home. The amenities and all provided and everything was clean. Mari is such an amazing host - kind, helpful and funny. And Gon is an amazing co-host - very cute and friendly! The house is located in a peaceful residential area not too far from the train station which Mari picked me up from on my arrival date. There are shops, parks and temples not far from the house, so lots to do if you want a day to explore nearby. When checking in, Mari provided super helpful suggestions and advice and made sure to explain how to use everything and answer any questions. Mari’s english is also amazing so you shouldn’t have trouble communicating if you only speak English. I would 100% recommend to anyone to come and stay here, and would love to come back in the future. ありがとうございます！

Larry's place was beyond my expectation! It was beautiful and quiet, and felt traditional but also like home rather than hotel rooms or those Airbnbs that feel like they are just for Airbnb. The room downstairs is huge, and the whole house is very clean and nice. Larry is extremely nice as well! He picked my up from the closest metro station exit, and showed me everything I needed to know. He also gave me local sightseeing recommendations with his hand drawn maps. There's a dog and a little cute cat that he recently rescued, and they didn't bother me at all. Kyoto is not a big city so his location is not too remote. There's a uphill road towards the house though, and the main streets are also going uphill if you are coming from west to the east. So be prepared for some exercise, whether or not you choose to ride a bike or just walking. Larry also provided a bike, which was a good bike, beautiful with a convenient lock, automatic lights, and shifting gears.

I stayed here for 5 nights in winter as a base to work remotely for a couple of days before exploring Kyoto. It was exactly what I was looking for: a quiet hideaway not far from the main city area, with good wifi, and a host that I can practice Japanese with. The house is on top of a hill with splendid views. I can imagine how lovely it’ll look when it snows, when the Sakura blooms or during autumn. I was kept warm and comfortable with the kotatsu, electric blanket, access to a kitchenette and hot water shower/bath. I met a couple of interesting house mates too. Keiko-san is the loveliest host and prepares a delicious breakfast for you daily. She also makes sure to drive me to and back from the train station (only a 15min straight train to Kyoto station). I will miss our little chats on the car rides. This space is perfect for anyone looking to escape the crowds of the city, take it slow, and experience local living. This is a different Kyoto and one that I really like.

Easily the best AirBnB experience we’ve had. Yoko’s place is a perfect place to stay in Kyoto, but it’s much more than just a place to rest your head. Yoko is helpful beyond words and goes out of her way to assist and make you feel at home. I can’t praise her or her house enough.

Nori and Fumi were absolutely amazing, from the beginning to the end! They even received our luggages ahead of time and picked us up from the train station. The apartment was beyond our expectations; the bed was so comfortable and the biggest one we had in Japan, spacious living space and kitchen. The ability to do laundry was just icing on the cake! Breakfast was served every morning and it was delicious! Nori gave us an option of doing a traditional Japanese or American breakfast at the cool cafe. The location was right outside of the chaos of Kyoto but very close to the train/bus, restaurants, conventions stores, etc. Fumi took us to a local spot every morning and dropped us off closer to where we wanted to be and gave us recs! The experience with Fumi and Nori was just invaluable. We long to come back and visit them as they are just the most wonderful humans! It was great getting to know them and making new friends in Japan; they added so much to our trip. Thank you so much

The host was absolutely outstanding. The atmosphere was always friendly and welcoming. The location was perfect for me since I was attending a conference at the international conference centre (20 minute walk). The facilities were excellent for the price.

This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. It was my first time traveling abroad for a month with my dog, and the process before leaving wasn't smooth, so I was worried a lot about whether my dog and I could get around well. Even so, Yukie & Kevin took care of a lot of things, so I really enjoyed the whole trip.😊 I am so grateful that I have so many memories that I would not have had if I had booked the accommodation as a general mansion or hotel! Thank you so much for picking me up by car throughout the trip to the airport and the station and bringing me a delicious meal every day. Everyone in the village was kind and kind, so I enjoyed the countryside of Japan with my dog. It was better because I preferred a quiet and relaxing trip with nature rather than crowded and bustling sightseeing.☺️ We are also looking forward to a new kids' house, so be sure to invite us when the house is repaired.💓 Both of you take good care of your health. Staying here was the best part of my trip. Chieri is an amazing host and I had a great time getting to know some of the locals in the area.

I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!

😍Well all comments about Tanaka san and his wife Machiko san are true but can't really describe how this people are simply amazing, wonderful and so generous. The japanese style house is so cozy with everything for us. The Tanaka homemade onsen is so relaxing...even more after a wagyu bbq night with a glass of japanese whisky (thank you Tanaka 😉). Thank you Machiko for your breakfest plenty of love and flavor. Thank you for your help with our laundry. Last comment (more usefull), house is just beside of bus stop (seriously best way to travel in Kyoto). The bus stop is a city bus but also JR bus stop include with many JR and JR west pass.

The owner is as kind as a mother, fully equipped, and has plenty of sweets and drinks. さらに、かわいい猫たちがいて癒される空間でした。子どもの世話も手伝っていただき、まるで自分の家にいるような安心感を味わえました。 帰る際には、オーナーさんが手描きした心のこもったポストカードをプレゼントしてくださり、朝には贅沢な朝食も用意されていました。 また、多くの国の言語に堪能で、各国の文化や日常について楽しく会話することができました。 居心地の良さと温かさに溢れた素晴らしい体験でした。 The owner is genuinely kind and welcoming, and the facilities are well-equipped with a variety of snacks and drinks. Additionally, the presence of adorable cats made the atmosphere incredibly comforting. They even helped take care of our children, giving us a sense of being right at home. When we were leaving, the owner gave us a beautifully hand-drawn postcard as a gift, and the breakfast provided was absolutely sumptuous. Moreover, the owner is fluent in multiple languages, allowing us to engage in delightful conversations about various cultures and daily life around the world. It was a truly warm and memorable experience filled with hospitality and care.
