Monthly Rentals in Mýrdalsjökull

Perfectly secluded on an unmarked road. Walked to Faxafoss and river from the cabin. Saw Aurora multiple nights from the patio! Located on the Golden Circle made itenaries easier to plan. Cosy, toasty warm cabin after a winter cold day out.

The place was clean and nice. Check in is very late at 5pm. Even with us there in winter without large crowds seemed very late for check in especially since a lot of people are traveling to/ from the glacier areas and likely want to rest earlier. Very close to a black sand beach. 10 min to vik. The sink in the bathroom you cannot use for anything other than handwashing ie no brushing of teeth or facewashing due to the construction we found it impossible to do so.

The 7 night stay here was amazing! The views were stunning and every waterfalls etc. were within 2-3h away. We really liked that there was literally nothing around. Very peaceful and quiet. For us the perfect stay for south iceland. The host was so friendly and helpful and replied within an hour. 10/10 would recommend for everyone who wants a quiet appartement within wonderful views 🥰

I don't know where to start. Everything was splendid. We only wished we had booked our stay for many more days. What a sweet space to spend your relaxing hours while visiting Vik and surrounding areas. The house was pristine and made us feel very comfortable. Martina was a super host . She made a yummy breakfast that gave us all the energy we needed for a long day of exploring. I especially loved meeting their farm animals and talking with her about her gardens. We would definitely go back and stay at Martina and John's farm next time we visit Iceland.
