The accommodation is located in a quiet village in the middle of the upper Douro vineyard and surrounded by vineyards. The only service available in the village is a small association under the Parish Council, which operates part-time (which also harms the privacy of the pool). Despite this there is sales of walking bread. The nearest large commercial areas are in Régua, about 15 minutes away by car. The Hosts were very friendly and provided all the necessary clarifications. Accommodation is great for a family break.

Extremely warm hosting in a remarkable site. Everything is beautiful and pleasant. The owner of the cafe downstairs speaks a little French and offers some essentials with great kindness. Otherwise you have to remember to do the shopping beforehand, to have a peaceful stay! We recommend this property unreservedly!

We had a wonderful stay. The location is beautiful and good for exploring nearby wine farms. The hosts are also very accomodating - we felt at home with them. We appreciated the extra touches like the coffee and bread they provided, a taste of the wine they produce at check-in and recommendations for nearby restaurants and sightseeing. The only downside was the nearby church bell that also rings at night, but the area is otherwise so peaceful that it did not bother us much. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a relaxing stay in the Douro region!
