Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mount Nelson

Nel and Lorne were excellent hosts. The location is absolutely stunning and suited all of our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt like I was staying with friends. We had great conversations and everything was as described. The bed was very comfortable, the amenities excellent, the bread maker was a nice touch and the bath was just amazing. I would highly recommend Nel and Lorne's place if you are looking for a comfortable stay right on the water's edge.

Beautiful home in the heart of Hobart! It was perfect for us because we didn't have a car while in Hobart and were able to easily walk to everything. The house was very cosy and had everything, like a home away from home. I would definitely stay again!

What a phenomenal experience. From the ‘wow’ moment of opening the front door to THAT view, it was an absolute delight to explore the home and surrounds. Cut off from the rest of the world, I was transported to a place of idyllic luxury. The birdsong formed the soundtrack to my stay, punctuated by the soft thuds of native wildlife letting me know they were near. From the comfort of the serene outdoor spa, to the creature comforts nestled by the fire underneath a blanket inside, I was transported to a place where the outside world was suspended. A truly magical retreat. I’ll be returning again.

We really enjoyed our weekend at Tom's place. It was very well aointed, we cooked a great meal on the BBQ, nice place to relax between sightseeing, handy to shops and a great cafe. If we had a group booking like this, would definitely stay there again.

Miro and Edina went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From showing us around at checkin to providing us with a well stocked kitchen, they couldn’t have made us feel more at home if they tried. We highly recommend staying here.

It was a unique living space with amazing views from every corner of the room. The loft bedroom is a very special experience. We loved the added opportunity of chickens and wallabies. Ben was a very special host and always helpful and quick with his responses. We would stay again anytime

This is a gorgeous place! Both we and our dogs had a fabulous time. Jo was very friendly and her dog Shelly is also really adorable.

Being able to have my dogs with me rather than boarding them for 10 days was great. Homely place to stay, and was lovely and warm on arrival in mid winter, due to Esther’s thoughtfulness of having air con going for my early arrival. I requested and was granted early check in as I had a morning event I needed to be at

Such a tranquil spot. So nice to relax after exploring the city. A great base for exploring the beaches of South Arm. Kitchen well equipped, kids loved the board games. The small fully enclosed garden was perfect for our little dog to explore and watch the wildlife on The other side of the fence.

This is a lovely cottage in the heart of North Hobart right near some fantastic eateries and breweries/wine bars. The cottage is quite spacious with a lovely back yard to sit out in and enjoy the garden. Salamanca is only a 30 min walk away (as is botanical gardens) and it’s a great hub to drive the tourist areas. For those travelling with a dog, there’s a dog park just a few blocks down, knocklofty summit walk in West Hobart is an 8 min drive away and a lovely bush walk where the locals go (off leash allowed morning and late afternoon), ‘Room for a pony’ just 2 mins walk away is dog friendly and has amazing pizzas. This is the perfect place to base yourself for a Tassie getaway. The bath is just a divine treat and the writers nook is a cute little place to read or write. Lounge room is very comfy and kitchen has everything you need. Washing machine is very handy. Off street parking is great as Hobart is predominately a paid parking system. Great stay. I’ll be back!

We absolutely loved this Airbnb! It was in a beautiful location, every detail had been considered, it was spotlessly clean and had a lovely interior. Thank you for a relaxing 4 nights in a great spot.

Lucy's house in Dodges Ferry was just perfect 👌 everything was as advertised and the coffee machine was a total bonus 😊 the showers were beautiful and the kids had their own private space, which they loved. Beautiful surroundings and for our first time in Tassie, an absolute reccommendation. Thanks Lucy 🙏

Russells place is really well located near the linear track which you can use to walk to the cbd and to head up onto the mountain for bushwalks and runs. Near a number of tourist attraction (walk to) on a bus route and near good cafes and small grocery shops with fruit and veg and everything you need. Russell is a friendly but not intrusive host who is very responsive and helpful. The place is super clean, spacious for a couple with all the cooking stuff you need which is great for someone like me. Up a steep hill which might be a walking issue for people with mobility limitations and no car but once in driveway its just a few steps to the door

What a lovely beach house! We immediately felt at home, and the amenities were amazing: games room with 8-ball and darts, basketball hoop and ball, swimming pool, kids’ playground and best of all, beach frontage. A huge thank you to Julie and Geoff for making us feel so welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay with Merrydith & Rob! Merrydith is a fantastic host - very thoughtful & helpful. The starter care package of some food & drinks was so nice! The accomodation was lovely. Very homy. Lots of space for the 3 of us. It was quiet & private & easy to reach by car. We certainly recommend staying here. Thanks for everything Merrydith!

Nice place to stay and convenient to New Norfolk

An excellent stay with friendly hosts! Jodi and Lindsay are lovely, and the apartment feels very comfortable. It's quiet, private, and not far from shops and restaurants, and well appointed with everything you might need. We really enjoyed our stay!

Jodi's place is lovely, and very thoughfully stocked with pantry items, and toiletries. Jodi is a really lovely host, responsive and very accommodating. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to be back.

Amazing location right on the water. Amazing house with indoor pool, that is such a rare feature and kids were able to go swimming even in the winter. House is a lot better than in the photos. Plenty of comfortable pillows and beds. Large living space and office. Complimentary taxi and guest car were so helpful. Made our vacation a dream thank you Phil!
