We arrived during storm Eowyn and Emma offered us the option to check in early, allowing us to travel in the light. The cottage was great and the gaming barn was a good addition too. The cats were very friendly ! All in all a great stay

Exactly what we needed for extended family get together. Host was responsive and helpful. Everything was clean and well-supplied. Kitchen had good supply of equipment, hot tub was lovely and we had a nice walk up to castle hill. Good amount of parking; pub and off-licence in walking distance. Would be happy to rent it again.

I have already recommended this place to so many people - we hadn't even stayed one night and I had a friend who wanted a Christmas stay, I couldn't recommend it enough. Everything about the property, surroundings, and hosts are fantastic.

A great place for a family Christmas get together. A perfect size for 16 of us- lovely bedrooms and a lovely, large dining table Nothing was too much trouble for Jayne - housekeeping, who was always easy to contact. Thank you.

An Unforgettable Stay at Leeds Mansion House! Our experience at Leeds Mansion House was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the grandeur and charm of this stunning property. The mansion is impeccably maintained, offering the perfect blend of historic elegance and modern comfort. The interiors are breathtaking—spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The kitchen is fully equipped, making meal preparation a breeze, while the cozy living areas provided the perfect setting for relaxation and connection. The log fireplaces were a delight and much appreciated in the cold weather The outdoor spaces are equally spectacular.

We spent our Christmas in Sally's cottage and we could not have asked for a better experience. Greeted with Mince pies and shortbread from the local farm shop and also fresh bread was a welcome treat after our journey from Ireland. The cottage was perfect in everyway from the interior to the location. We had an amazing stay visiting family and we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. It’s feels like you are in the middle of nowhere whilst having Leeds directly on your doorstep at the same time. The finishing touches out in by Nicola were lovely and helped to make our stay very special. We hope to return soon.

Great stay in this house. Very cosy and all the equipment needed to cook and eat in a very comfy environment. Log burning fire a nice touch and bed was nice to sleep on. Appreciated the gimmicks and themes of each room. Would recommend.

Perfect location to switch off with great views and plenty of privacy whilst being brilliantly situated to explore the local towns and walks. Really friendly and flexible host. I'll will certainly stay again when back in the area.

Simon is a great host. Usually responds within 5-10 minutes with messaging. He is very knowledgeable and Friendly. The surrounding areas are farmland and hills with sheep, horses, and cattle. It is all very beautiful, including a very close-by footpath that overlooks a good bit of it. The area is very quiet also. Walking into town has some really nice views along the way and is approximately 20 minutes. The nearby town is holmfirth which has cafes all over, restaurants, bakeries, and large and small food shops. The drive in is very short and finding parking is only a challenge at busier times of day. Loved it. The flat has everything you’d need in it. It has a big comfortable bed. The views from the flat are exceptional and it is so restfully quiet inside. There was rarely much noise at all from outside unless a bird was perched really close by. There is no microwave in the kitchen but Simon let me borrow his because as i need one to live. Highly recommend.

A repeat visit to Gatehaus while visiting family. Great communication as always and everything as we expected. Lovely quiet spot.

Second time we have stopped with Hilly. Her place is fab so well kitted out and comfortable. We love it and highly recommend it. Easy access to the Dales and the happy valleys of west Yorkshire. The space is fab for a couple of a small family. Hebden bridge or Halifax are 20 minutes away. I recommend getting a coffee and snack in the Piece Hall in Halifax absolutely stunning. I think we will be back.

This house is absolutely beautiful! It was just what my partner and I needed to wind down - we’ve come back home feeling brand new! Secluded and private with stunning views - you can literally feel all stress leave your body! We felt so calm the entire time. We’ll miss waking up to those views every morning. The bed was sooo comfortable - three nights of the best sleep. Wayne continually topped up the logs for us for the log burner, which was a lovely touch. We’ll definitely be back, and probably book it for longer next time as we didn’t want to leave!!

Fantastic stay for new years celebrations, Katie was really helpful and always there if you needed anything, the barn has everything you need for a great break away, would highly recommend staying here.

Me and my partner stayed here, it was a beautiful place the hosts were perfect and the accommodation was perfect. We will definitely come back again.
