My partner & I had such a beautiful stay here, the pictures don’t do it justice it is 10x better than expected in person. The grounds its location on are stunning. The hut was extremely clean, had everything we needed and more, the bed was super comfy & cosy. Amy was a great host from the minute I booked, nothing was too much trouble and she responded within minutes whenever needed. We would recommend here to anyone and 100% return, we would return again just to see Eugene which is one of Amy’s cats who stayed the night with us, such a friendly snuggly boy. Thankyou so much ⭐️❤️

By far the best Air BnB experience we’ve had. From start to finish, we’ve had a blissful weekend. We arrived to a pristinely clean cabin. Ian popped over early evening to check all was okay, which was very much appreciated. The hot water went on the Friday evening however we didn’t bother Ian until Saturday morning. He came as soon as we called, and then he called an electrician. All was sorted by the time we returned from our walk. On the Sunday before check out, Ian and Ann kindly showed us around their farm which was such a highlight. A lovely stay, which super kind and friendly hosts.

A very pleasant stay, a lovely well equipped cottage, peaceful location, but close to all amenities in the village. private off road parking, Excellent hosts, certainly recommended.

My friend and I were visiting friends who lived in Oldtown so were so pleased. to find the cottage . It was perfect . We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness in the main room and comfy sofas and fire and very well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom . Also as we were lucky with the weather it was lovely to be able to sit outside in the morning in sunshine . It’s a beautiful area and enjoyed visiting Haworth , Halifax and Saltaire . Being in our seventies I would say the only slightly negative thing was the bunk bed though a very comfy one but can imagine that’s great if you have younger people with you . Main bedroom very comfy . Linda was a great host replying promptly to any questions we might have and we would certainly recommend it and hope to come back .

The cottage was warm & welcoming. John provided a generous welcome pack of goodies and was flexible and responsive to any questions. We really appreciated the beauty of the surrounding countryside and peaceful environment of the cottage. Despite it being a spring visit we enjoyed having the fire lit for us one evening. I have no hesitation to recommend Johns cottage.

We had a super long weekend stay at Estelle’s property. The house is in an excellent location with all amenities in an easily walkable distance. Having a patio over looking the canal was a real bonus which served as a great sun terrace to soak up the warmth on a weekend with fabulous weather. The house was spotless when we arrived and is immediately welcoming to step into. Estelle has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable from biscuits, coffee, tea and washing up liquid to soap, shower gel and bathroom mats. As well as having super comfy beds with lovely soft bed linen. All in all we had a lovely time celebrating our friends birthday in lovely surroundings. Many thanks to Estelle 👍😁

Really great place to stay, and host. The property is very well appointed, clean and cosy. Location is amazing next to a stream and literally only 50-100 strides to the centre of Marsden village and some great cafes, restaurants and craft beer pubs, really enjoyed Peel Street social’s craft beer wall. A longer walk down the canal gets you to Zapato brewing and on to Slaithwaite. Some really good walks from right outside the property but for checking out the local craft beers and eateries, its location can’t be beaten.

The lodge is lovely. It’s right next to all the walks on Marsden Moor and is so very peaceful! We loved it!

Lovely house, loved the decor and touches around the place. All the beds were really comfortable, felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel. The outside table gets some lovely afternoon sun, was great to sit out after our walk. Great location for getting out walking. Loved our stay.
