Top rated B&B w/ private room + prkg +♡ breakfast

NatachaRating, 5 stars15 months ago
We were received very well received by Diego and his team who did everything to facilitate our stay and make sure to build a program of activities that meets our expectations and budget. Every time we needed transportation they took care of everything and just had to show up at the door at the agreed time. Several choices for breakfast and it's very good. The place is clean and well-maintained. The large gallery is very comfortable and welcoming, we enjoyed settling in to read a few pages after an active day, to enjoy the breeze and the view. Unfortunately we had some difficulties transporting from Monteverde to Tamarindo. When I asked Diego to help me find a solution, he immediately took care of it and resolved the situation directly with the transport company, in a very efficient and satisfactory way. For the place and for the service, I recommend it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in casa bamboo. What we loved: - Elkin! He is a wonderful onsite host and incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. Anything we needed, he was there right away, sharing information and tips via google translate. He thoroughly enhanced our stay — even alerting us when the monkeys were close so we could go see them. - Location: Close to Playa Hermosa and Santa Teresa but at a much more family friendly and local beach with good snorkeling, swimming, surfing, sunsets and birding. - Open concept of the house and pool. Rooms were cool and dark for sleeping and the kitchen/family/outdoor entertaining area was a great mix of social and private for our two families. - Next door to the grocery store and the lovely Passion Bakery. We had one of our favorite meals in Costa Rica at De Raiz and Atardecer Dorado which are a short walk down the road. - Walking distance to the beach but quiet and not on a busy road like four wheeling craziness of Santa Teresa.

Love everything about this place! Diego checked us in and he was amazing. Gave us a map and highlighted (literally with a highlighter) lots to do in the area - plenty of recommendations! We only stayed for 1 nights, but could easily stay for 2-3 nights! Great spot

Camino Verde B&B | 5★ Location, gulf view+ Parking

KrystalRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Loved my stay at Camino Verde. Diego was incredible at check-in and helping us to book tours and transportation. The breakfast was amazing. You could choose from the typical Tico breakfast or opt for pancakes, toast, cereal, or yogurt. Always got a nice plate of fruit with our breakfast and the cappuccino machine and fresh juices were a nice touch. The place was prettier than in the photos. It’s a five minute (or less) walk to the town. Many tours pick you up directly in front of the property. Lots of lounging and common areas to sit and mingle with other guests or have some quiet time. The only “negative” thing I’d say is the walls are paper thin so you hear everything, including cars. However, this wasn’t much of a problem for us. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The Village Bed and Breakfast

JohnRating, 5 stars14 months ago
Perfect location in downtown St Elana, nicely tucked just below the core downtown area less than 5 minute walk away. Cute place with generous common area, and unbeleivable value. Breakfast was quite the bonus. Other reviews complained of mattresses being GG uncomfortable, so I expected worn but instead found mine simply to be firm. There was adjacent road noise but no surprise given location downtown, easily arrested with ear plugs. Exceeded my expectations, would definitely return.

Casa Rayo de Luna (Room 2).

SakshiRating, 5 stars9 months ago
My partner and I had the perfect stay here. Jose was super friendly, welcoming and responsive from start to end! He recommended lovely activities - some of which we could not utilise due to our limited time there. José’s pet retriever Thor was the icing on the cake for us - he was adorable. The room and property was lovely too. Surrounded by greenery and a very well sized room and bathroom.

We loved our stay at Casa Rayo de Luna! The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and comfortable. In a quiet, beautiful location just 3 minutes from town centre by car. Jose Pablo and his family were such kind people and they make a delicious breakfast! Highly recommended.

Fabulous and spacious room in Monteverde

A family place with very good service and good breakfast. . They made an adjustment in the price to see that Airbnb had overcharged me. The location is convenient as long as you have transportation available to get to the various attractions.

Hostal Cabinas el Pueblo B&B Private Room.

StellaRating, 5 stars86 months ago
The best hostel ever! It is beautiful and intimate. I got my own space but my room is 2 steps away from the reception. Whenever I need anything, the front desk people are ready to help. It is the perfect balance between a hotel and Airbnb. They also put a lot of thoughts into details. They give you a map with all tours and travel options when you arrive. My main trash can is outside so no bugs in my room. There is even a kitchen with free coffee! Cannot recommend more!

Cozy Sloth room at Majestic Lodge

Jaclyn ERating, 5 stars2 months ago
This place was definitely an oasis with a comfortable lovely bed, the most and the wonderful hosts. If you are sensitive to others being loud, it does echo and the stairs are right next to your room. We came with the intentions to totally relax at the end of the trip and be away from the city. It was a bit difficult If you’re trying to go to bed early or take a nap, almost impossible. The breakfast was so delicious. I love me some plantains in the morning! I would recommend this place if you’re open to sharing your space, and not having complete peace and quiet.

Tico B&B #1: Cozy Comfort for the Solo Traveler

Cheerful little Airbnb. I opted for the smaller room which is what you see is what you get. Affordable unit in an otherwise very expensive little town. I would recommend for any budget traveler coming through for a day or two.

Tropical Bird room at Majestic Lodge

What an amazing stay at Shiloh's!! First of all, the square is majestic and spotless, the hot tub and pool as well as the wooden terrace are great and original! We were charmed by the warm and generous welcome of the hosts and it was the best lunches of our entire trip! The hosts took great care of us from start to finish, with their advice, thoughtfulness, washing service and more. Even though it wasn't sunny during our stay, this visit to the majestic was one of our favorites for the square and the hosts. Thank you so much, and we hope to see you next time!

Tico B&B #3: Spacious for Families or Small Groups

SanneRating, 5 stars24 months ago
We had a great stay at Lulu's place. She and her family are very friendly and helpful, they gave us some great recommendations about the town and the area. The place is nice and clean, the beds are comfortable, the shower has warm water, and there is air conditioning. It is also nice that you are allowed to park your car on the terrain behind a fence. La Fortuna is a very popular destination in Costa Rica, and there is a lot to do in the area. However, this also gives the town a very touristy feeling. Because of this, I enjoyed staying at Lulu's place even more. It was nice to chat with her and her family, and because it is just one block out of the center, it is a bit calmer and gives you more of a local experience. The restaurant they are running in front of the airbnb is also very good and reasonably priced, the included typical breakfast was very tasty too. All in all, we really enjoyed staying at Lulu's and would definitely recommend her :)
