I would recommend. The owner being very supportive during the check-in process also invited people to take our luggage for us. Rooms are clean and I would say a great experience overall. Great location though not on the main road but you got monkeys, lake view and tranquility. Walkable distance to great restaurants.

If you’re looking for a private beach with the ocean, this is the place for you! Far from popular tourist spots, you’ll find peace and tranquility here. There are several oceanfront restaurants nearby. The staff is attentive, and excellent breakfasts were included!

We had a Honey moon and New Year in Akain villa. The villa is situated very close to the ocean. We prefer to see sunsets at the beach. The owners are very kind and friendly people. They help us, brought everything what we need. In the eve of New Year Candy and Lakmina organized unforgettable beach party with national food and fireworks for their guests! There is 20 minutes to the fish market by foot. Every Saturday there is the market not far from the villa. We have wonderful time in this house.

I had a great stay at Prabodi’s place. I stayed for a week and she was very friendly and helpful. She arranged transportation for me from Colombo and helped me with laundry and bike rental. The place is clean and well maintained. It’s definitely worth the money. Highly recommend

True local experience! Dinner was awesome, and the view from the top deck was a delight, plenty of birds,squirrels and monkeys to watch. Excellent value for money. Please note that the location on the map is incorrect - the property is further up and took me about 7-8 minutes to walk to the beach. Own transport would be ideal in this location - I had difficulties with PickMe but kindly the host would source me a tuktuk from the village :)

We had the most incredible stay! Bianca and her team were absolutely amazing—so kind, thoughtful, and attentive. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from the little details in the space to helping us with local recommendations and anything we needed during our stay. The place itself was beautiful and super comfortable, but it was the hospitality that made it feel like a home away from home. Can’t recommend this place enough—thank you, Bianca, for everything!

We spent a month here – it's almost a perfect place! The Internet is ideal for work, including video calls. Comfortable bed with new mattress. The bathroom is a delight! The toilet and shower are separated from each other, and the hot water is really unlimited hot water and with great pressure. The kitchen has everything except the Turks for making coffee, but it's a small thing. We made friends with our dogs and played often. They really bark, but only when someone comes, which in our case was very rare. The hosts are wonderful people, it was easy and pleasant to communicate on all issues. There is no noise insulation between our and neighboring apartments at the expense of a thin door in an adjacent wall. We rented this apartment too and used them as a separate office. When someone arrives at the villa, you can hear absolutely everything that happens on the street at any time of the day. In any case, my rating is 10 out of 10 because all the listed pros more than compensate for the minor shortcomings. Thank you!

We had an incredible three-night stay at Sahan’s villa in Weligama—honestly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect: just a short walk or quick tuk tuk ride to amazing surf spots and great restaurants. The villa itself is stunning, with a beautiful pool that was perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The interiors were spotless and thoughtfully designed. The air-conditioning worked perfectly (a real bonus in the Sri Lankan heat), the beds were large and super comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern, clean, and luxurious. Housekeeping was top-notch throughout our stay, and the check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been smoother. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay in Weligama.

The beautiful Beach House - Reef House - is located in a quiet spot in Madhia overlooking the ocean. The location is around 20 to 25 minutes drive to Mirissa beach with Welligama beach little further ahead. The location worked perfectly for us since our intention was mainly to relax and step out for short outings. While one cannot swim in the ocean in front of the house, we enjoyed the soothing sounds of waves & dips in the pool. The reef house is tastefully done, comfortable with basic amenities including good wifi. There’s a room on the ground floor which is perfect for elderly guests or anyone who might find stairs challenging. Swell cafe for coffee fix is right opposite the house. Charitha is cordial, prompt with replies & is available to answer queries. Indika is kind & took excellent care of us. Siri cooked us delicious meals. This was our first time living with pets and to be honest Gaston and Bella were a delight to have around. We had memorable stay at the Reef House.

Airbnb was a dream to be in. It is beautiful, clean, super equipped and has a fantastic location, as well as a fantastic pool. We were completely delighted and our expectations were even exceeded. Anyone coming to Sri Lanka should stay here. Awesome place I've ever had. The on-site staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There is no need for improvement here.

Great villa with fantastic pool and all the amenities as stated in the description. local town, shops and restaurants all 15-20 mins walk. Pamoda and the housekeeper Sunetta could not have been more helpful. Would highly recommend.

Had a great stay at this beautifully furnished, duplex condominium. The apartment has ample space, is extremely comfortable and ideally suited for a large family or group. It is also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from any 5* hotel. The host, Minoli was also extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, one of the best condominium properties in the area!

Stunning house, directly on the beach in a great location. The house is huge, perfect for our family of 5 with pre-teen children who still wanted room to run and play. The interiors were immaculate and beautifully designed - brimming with touches of Sri Lankan culture whilst maintaining a luxurious bright and airy feel to the space. The real highlight… the chef! We chose the Sri Lankan seafood bbq which was cooked outside while we sat by the pool and watched the sunset. Thank you! We will definitely return. Neal, Lauren & family 🌴😊

The home has a fantastic location right on a human beach! The complex of the property is also beautifully designed and invites you to stay there. Truly a special and uniquely designed place to stay!

Dilhan and his family welcomed us warmly from the start. We were well looked after and had people to contact around the clock. The apartment is clean and as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, the apartment is opposite a very noisy street, but after the first few days this didn't bother us anymore and we were able to sleep well at night in the comfortable beds with earplugs. The apartment also has no hot water, but that didn't bother us at all in 30 degree heat. There is a bus stop right outside the front door from which you can get directly to Ahangama and Mirissa for little money. There is no air conditioning, but there is a powerful fan in every room. We highly recommend the accommodation and really felt very comfortable during our two weeks of stay :)

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area. Some of the reviews here made me second guess my booking, but you can't always rely on what you read. That said I LOVED my stay here, it was heaven on earth literally ON the beach. I am traveling through SL solo and this place was a dream, Ravi was so helpful and accommodating, he and I got along very well, (yes he is a bit rough around the edges) but you can't always judge a book by its cover. Ravi went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Erich was amazing as well, his communicaiton was excellent, very responsive. Points: Make sure you discuss price upfront before anything. My only complaint is that Ravi had a bag of laundry done for me and the next day charged me $40 USD!!!! I was floored. I had two bags of laundry done a few days later for $6.50 USD wishing you both all the success ( I have already told 3 people to book with you when they get down South) I hope they do!

Great stay and great place. We ended up extending our stay. It was value for the price paid.

This is not a luxury property but a wonderful typical Sri Lankan property. Close to a small beach with diving and snorkeling centres. Also Mirissa is only a short tuk tuk ride away with its larger beach and many restaurants. The host, Ranga, and his family did everything to make our stay wonderful. Thank you
