I would recommend. The owner being very supportive during the check-in process also invited people to take our luggage for us. Rooms are clean and I would say a great experience overall. Great location though not on the main road but you got monkeys, lake view and tranquility. Walkable distance to great restaurants.

If you’re looking for a private beach with the ocean, this is the place for you! Far from popular tourist spots, you’ll find peace and tranquility here. There are several oceanfront restaurants nearby. The staff is attentive, and excellent breakfasts were included!

We had a Honey moon and New Year in Akain villa. The villa is situated very close to the ocean. We prefer to see sunsets at the beach. The owners are very kind and friendly people. They help us, brought everything what we need. In the eve of New Year Candy and Lakmina organized unforgettable beach party with national food and fireworks for their guests! There is 20 minutes to the fish market by foot. Every Saturday there is the market not far from the villa. We have wonderful time in this house.

I had a great stay at Prabodi’s place. I stayed for a week and she was very friendly and helpful. She arranged transportation for me from Colombo and helped me with laundry and bike rental. The place is clean and well maintained. It’s definitely worth the money. Highly recommend

Unser Aufenthalt in Hikkaduwa war – wie auch schon bei unseren früheren Besuchen – einfach unvergesslich! Wir haben nun schon mehrfach bei dieser wundervollen Gastgeberfamilie übernachtet und wurden jedes Mal aufs Neue herzlich empfangen. Die Lage ist perfekt – nur wenige Minuten vom Strand entfernt, und mit dem Tuk-Tuk ist man in Windeseile im Ort. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich hilfsbereit, freundlich und bemüht, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die gemütliche und herzliche Atmosphäre lässt uns jedes Mal wie zu Hause fühlen. Auf Wunsch konnten wir erneut das fantastische Essen der Gastgeber genießen – und es war wieder einmal das Beste, das wir in ganz Sri Lanka hatten! Frisch, liebevoll zubereitet und einfach köstlich. Besonders die Macaroni with Seafood sind jedes Mal ein Highlight! Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die nach einem entspannten und authentischen Aufenthalt in Hikkaduwa suchen. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! 😊

True local experience! Dinner was awesome, and the view from the top deck was a delight, plenty of birds,squirrels and monkeys to watch. Excellent value for money. Please note that the location on the map is incorrect - the property is further up and took me about 7-8 minutes to walk to the beach. Own transport would be ideal in this location - I had difficulties with PickMe but kindly the host would source me a tuktuk from the village :)

We had the most incredible stay! Bianca and her team were absolutely amazing—so kind, thoughtful, and attentive. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from the little details in the space to helping us with local recommendations and anything we needed during our stay. The place itself was beautiful and super comfortable, but it was the hospitality that made it feel like a home away from home. Can’t recommend this place enough—thank you, Bianca, for everything!

Jeg elskede lit besøg hos Nalinda. Meget venlig vært - han arrangerede taxa for mig frem og tilbage til lufthavn, og var behjælpelig med alt man kunne ønske sig. Skøn have, skøn pool og et skønt område med rigtig gode muligheder for surfing.

We had an incredible three-night stay at Sahan’s villa in Weligama—honestly one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The location is perfect: just a short walk or quick tuk tuk ride to amazing surf spots and great restaurants. The villa itself is stunning, with a beautiful pool that was perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. The interiors were spotless and thoughtfully designed. The air-conditioning worked perfectly (a real bonus in the Sri Lankan heat), the beds were large and super comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern, clean, and luxurious. Housekeeping was top-notch throughout our stay, and the check-in and check-out process couldn’t have been smoother. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing, hassle-free stay in Weligama.

The beautiful Beach House - Reef House - is located in a quiet spot in Madhia overlooking the ocean. The location is around 20 to 25 minutes drive to Mirissa beach with Welligama beach little further ahead. The location worked perfectly for us since our intention was mainly to relax and step out for short outings. While one cannot swim in the ocean in front of the house, we enjoyed the soothing sounds of waves & dips in the pool. The reef house is tastefully done, comfortable with basic amenities including good wifi. There’s a room on the ground floor which is perfect for elderly guests or anyone who might find stairs challenging. Swell cafe for coffee fix is right opposite the house. Charitha is cordial, prompt with replies & is available to answer queries. Indika is kind & took excellent care of us. Siri cooked us delicious meals. This was our first time living with pets and to be honest Gaston and Bella were a delight to have around. We had memorable stay at the Reef House.

Das Airbnb war ein Traum. Es ist wunderschön, sauber, super ausgestattet und hat eine traumhafte Lage, sowie einen traumhaften Pool. Wir waren restlos begeistert und unsere Erwartungen wurden sogar übertroffen. Jeder der nach Sri Lanka kommt sollte hier übernachten. Eine der besten Unterkünfte, die ich jemals hatte. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort waren unglaublich hilfsbereit und freundlich. Hier gibt es kein Verbesserungsbedarf.

Es ist jetzt schon das zweite Mal, dass wir in der Sweet Villa sein konnten und es war wieder wunderschön. Danke an Pamoda und ihren Vater, die Haushälterin Sunetrah und die Security sowie natürlich Browny… Danke Delphine für Dein Entgegenkommen…

Wir wollten gar nicht mehr gehen! Wir haben uns bei Sunil wie zu Hause gefühlt. Der Pool gleich am Strand war grossartig! Sunil hat uns leckeres Frühstück gekocht, welches wir mit Meerblick geniessen konnten. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist ein Traum, man kann vom Balkon aus den Garten und das Meer überblicken. Ein Hausangesteller und ein Nachtwächter waren jederzeit vor Ort. Dieser Ort war unsere Oase und perfekt, um nach der langen Reise zu entspannen. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen!

Beautiful villa in a lovely location. The staff is super helpful and we loved our stay. Lots of restaurants in the area and a beautiful beach just few steps away. highly recommended.

What can I say? The days at the accommodation were perfect. My wife and I have traveled through 74 countries and stayed in some top class Airbnbs, this was the best so far because the overall package was right. Quiet and private location, super well maintained, the pool was bigger than it looked in the photos, the location was perfect between Midigama and Ahangama, everything was within a few minutes reach. Our children more than enjoyed the large garden to play in. But now we come to the absolute highlight, which made us feel like home. Special thanks goes to the chef Prabod, who provided us with delicious food every day and read every wish from our lips. We would also like to thank Shantha and Nishante, who looked after our safety, the cleaning and the garden. All three of them took great care of our children and were always ready to have fun. Thanks to you three, we have taken Sri Lanka to our hearts and have made friends on the other side of the world. Thank you guys.

Die Unterkunft hat eine traumhafte Lage direkt an einem menschleeren Strand! Auch die Anlage der Unterkunft ist sehr schön gestaltet und läd dazu ein, sich dort aufzuhalten. Wirklich eine besondere und einzigartig gestaltete Bleibe!

Dilhan and his family welcomed us warmly from the start. We were well looked after and had people to contact around the clock. The apartment is clean and as shown in the pictures. Unfortunately, the apartment is opposite a very noisy street, but after the first few days this didn't bother us anymore and we were able to sleep well at night in the comfortable beds with earplugs. The apartment also has no hot water, but that didn't bother us at all in 30 degree heat. There is a bus stop right outside the front door from which you can get directly to Ahangama and Mirissa for little money. There is no air conditioning, but there is a powerful fan in every room. We highly recommend the accommodation and really felt very comfortable during our two weeks of stay :)

Wow.....We stayed for our winter break for two months and it was fantastic. The villa, although a little quirky was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, the outside areas were fantastic, really good pool and beutifully kept gardens, with direct access to the beach and nearby restaurants. Gievs was always on hand to give us local information and to resolve any problems that occurred. Having problems reaching the beach due to the sand retracting with the tide he organised wooden steps to make our access easier within day....fantastic. The biggest joy of our stay was the house manager...Sadika who was always on hand to keep the villa pristinely clean and serve the best gin and tonics in Sri Lanka. his mother would come and cook our meals if we wished and honestly, her food was outstanding, beating most restaurant standards in the area. Some of the reviews here made me second guess my booking, but you can't always rely on what you read. That said I LOVED my stay here, it was heaven on earth literally ON the beach. I am traveling through SL solo and this place was a dream, Ravi was so helpful and accommodating, he and I got along very well, (yes he is a bit rough around the edges) but you can't always judge a book by its cover. Ravi went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Erich was amazing as well, his communicaiton was excellent, very responsive. Points: Make sure you discuss price upfront before anything. My only complaint is that Ravi had a bag of laundry done for me and the next day charged me $40 USD!!!! I was floored. I had two bags of laundry done a few days later for $6.50 USD wishing you both all the success ( I have already told 3 people to book with you when they get down South) I hope they do!

Had a great stay at this beautifully furnished, duplex condominium. The apartment has ample space, is extremely comfortable and ideally suited for a large family or group. It is also equipped with all the amenities you would expect from any 5* hotel. The host, Minoli was also extremely helpful and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, one of the best condominium properties in the area!

Great stay and great place. We ended up extending our stay. It was value for the price paid.

Die Unterkunft mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 3 Bädern war ideal für uns mit unseren Freunden. Es gibt einen großen überdachten Platz draußen wo man kochen, essen und relaxen kann. Direkt gegenüber gibt es einen kleinen Laden und zum Strand sind es nur 2 Min. zu Fuß. Durch das vorgelagerte Riff sind die Wellen nicht so hoch und man kann gut schwimmen. Jeden Morgen wurden wir mit leckeren Köstlichkeiten von Ruwans Frau überrascht und auch abends haben wir uns einmal bekochen lassen. Wenn du keinen Rummel und keinen Luxus brauchst, sondern lieber ruhig unter den Einheimischen wohnen möchtest, bist du hier genau richtig. Ruwan wird dir in allem was du brauchst weiterhelfen.
