This is a nice traditionally furnished one bedroom apartment. The kitchen is small but functional. The neighborhood is mixed but changing rapidly. Lots of new housing . .Most people who stay here for more than a few days get over it and I've had a number of people stay longer term .It does have a great bathroom and very comfortable bedroom plus the fireplace in the living room.please this is a complete apartment. No shared kitchen or bath.please the heat stays at 70 degrees not above.

The Wedding Cake House was built in 1867 and was last fully occupied by the famous Tirocchi sisters dressmakers (1915-1947) and the Tirocchi family. The house fell into disrepair and was abandoned sometime in the 1990's till 2016. Dirt Palace Public Projects (a local feminist arts not-for-profit) began renovating the house in 2016 to serve as a project based Artist Residency Facility that is supported by short term rentals of people visiting Providence.

Use it as a home base for the Philharmonic, the crash pad for the destination wedding for extended family or a chill few days at the beach. Wander back along the beach from a late night at Coast Guard. And just live in an unpretentious oasis. It’s not fancy, it’s a really great spot with parking for at least 6 cars within a Roger Clemens’ stones throw from the beach.

We had a lovely two nights at Jeffrey and Christine's place. We did not want to stay at a hotel and this was the perfect home and location for our travels. The meticulous care and thoughtfulness that went into preparing for guests was very apparent and the addition of a light breakfast and snacks made it feel like we were transported away to a countryside manor home in England... We were lucky to have a nice chat with Christine who filled us in on some local history and Jeffrey's furniture making craftsmanship is unsurpassed. Highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible stay at the Wedding Cake House in Providence. The whole building is fascinating, impeccably restored and decorated with contemporary artwork (much of it from local artists). The room was large, perfectly clean, well-heated on a cold day, and the bathtub was amazing. The printed guide to local attractions was wonderful, and the hosts were so communicative and warm. Walking distance to so many amazing restaurants, too! If you want to sleep in a beautiful and kooky mansion in a cool neighborhood, this is the place for you!

very poor lighting: 1. light in kitchen is so dim it's not possible to see if I got dishes clean or not. 2. Ceiling light in room is almost as dim. Dollar Tree (I saw their price stickers on bath products) have 100 watt equivalent LED bulbs for $1.25, splurge on some. 3. Bed has neon green lights glowing when you walk in, and no way to turn them off. I messaged host, who said to look for remote control, found it under bed but only controls TV, not turn off neon lights to sleep. Contacted host again, who said to find electrical wire and unplug it. This required puling bed out from corner, reaching under it, and unplugging. Very annoying. 4. free breakfast in pub downstairs, and snacks in kitchen were appreciated.

Ms Malinda and Mr Phil were wonderful hosts. Acces to the house is quick and easy. I slept comfortably. I really enjoyed their guest day room. I would have liked to sit out on their patio but lack of time didnt allow me. Maybe on my next visit to see them I will be able to sit outside. I was able to use a personal parking space which was ideally located and safe. A must visit place to get a room. I look forward to visiting this AB&B again. I loved it!

Where to start? Her house is decorated with an amazing collection of art and pieces that she and members of her family have created. Her yard is huge and expertly landscaped which also has gorgeous pieces of art throughout. Her home can be described as tranquil; my husband and I felt so comfortable and at home during our stay. There is also a screened in porch which is nice for coffee and a book in the morning. Tracey made sure to ask what is what we wanted for breakfast each morning- we weren’t picky! She made homemade baked goods, fresh eggs from her chickens, and delicious waffles. We never left the table hungry. It was wonderful getting to know Tracey and we enjoyed our frequent interactions, but she will also leave you be if that’s what is desired. She will completely accommodate you to ensure you get what you need during your stay. Her dog Jasper is so sweet and was the icing on the cake! I’m sure we’ll be back :)

Rick was a wonderful host! He was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Every member of the staff was courteous from the chefs to the maintenance crew. Rick was flexible with checking in and checking out was extremely easy. The accommodations were as described, very cozy and the king bed was very comfortable. Original features of the house were a beautiful addition to the the room. Breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious! The Inn was convenient to all the great shopping, restaurants and activities. We would definitely stay again!

Had a wonderful stay! An incredible location between Thames and Bellevue. Also very close to the free trolley service with a nearby stop. Onsite parking and private bathroom was appreciated. The host even let us park there for the day after we checked out. Very friendly host and an amazing breakfast with a view included. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Newport.
