Castle vacation rentals in Metropolitan City of Florence

Beautiful villa surrounded by vineyards and countryside. The nearby village of Panzano is so picturesque with lovely restaurants. I can also recommend visiting other Chianti towns and especially the market on a Saturday in Greve. The hosts Filippo and his father Carlo couldn't do enough for us and the communication was superb. The villa is so spacious and makes you feel right at home with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a garden with a pool that's just the icing on the cake. It was very warm during our visit and the fans provided were very welcomed. Every room is also equipped with mosquito nets on the windows. We made use of the large BBQ a few nights and also had a lovely wine tasting one evening which I can highly recommend. We were very sad to leave Villa Reggine and hope to return one day. Grazie!

This was our first trip to Tuscany and a friend had recommended staying in or new San Gimignano. I found this place and thought it looked like the perfect combination of modern and historic Italy. It was. The place had everything we needed, including a washer AND dryer (perfect for a long trip when we needed to do laundry). The kitchen was well equipped but Americans, please note: There is no American-type coffee maker. No problem if you know how to use a Bialetti (which we do). There's also a local grocery story – the Coop – which had everything we needed, including coffee for the Bialetti. There are also several cafes right in the piazza that have great caffe latte and cappuccino. There are a lot of stairs not really a problem for us; we walk a lot. It added to the charm because it put us up high and the rooftop terrace was wonderful. Amazing views. VERY comfortable beds. Ideal central location for day trips. Go to Bel Soggiorno for dinner at least one night. All in all, terrific.

We had a very nice time in the beautiful villa, surrounded by the nature of Tuscany. Gemma welcomed us in a very friendly way and informed us about the special features of the historic house. Washing machine and dishwasher are available. There are enough utensils in the kitchen to cook reasonably. There are 4 bathrooms, 2 with showers. Not luxurious, but hygienic. The rooms are large, in general the house is very spacious. The beds could be replaced, but not bad either. Mosquito nets would be great so that you can ventilate better in the evening in the particularly hot season. The pool is well maintained and offers the perfect cooling off. The common areas are large. Pool table and pool table and pool gave us a lot of joy. Surroundings: Florence, Sienna and Bologna are easily accessible by car for a day trip. Nice, challenging hiking routes are close by. The Bahia Bar is worth a visit. Time went by quickly. Thanks for the nice time!

We had an amazing elopement at the castle. Fabrizio, Francesca and Sara were very helpful, accommodating and personable. Thanks again for the great stay.

Majla's tower was the perfect spot for us. I wish we could have spent more time here to enjoy the peace and quiet around here. We relied on the bus at the base of the driveway to get in and out of Florence for sightseeing- it worked out well enough for us. The tower apartment itself was incredible- well equipped, spacious, comfortable, and extremely clean. Majla provided us all the info we needed and checked in throughout our short trip to make sure we were all set.

Area was beautiful and very peaceful. Very close to train station which is an easy ride into Florence. Drive up to the place is dirt road but not bad. Hot water was weak in the tower bathrooms. House was clean and the views were great, excellent for a large party.

Classic, fairytale stay in Tuscany in the heart of wine country. This place seemed too good to be true – it wasn’t. Combines what-its-like-to-live-in-Italy with European luxury and unique peek into how Italian families are preserving history in a storied land. Parts of this estate date to 1100 and the property has been in the family for many generations. You can see and feel the great care they take of their home and the deep pride they experience sharing it with their guests. Scrumptious interior as modern, luxury amenities embellish this of-the-ages castle -- massive stone fireplace, wood beam ceiling, entry door, handcrafted shutters, pressed-glass interior doors. Extremely private and tucked away, teaming with birds and wildlife. Being in the space was inspiring and of another era! If you get a chance to stay here, don’t pass it up. Next trip, I'm bringing all my friends and family to fill the place up to the top of the ramparts! Thank you Pietro and family for a fabulous stay.
