Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Melbourne

What an amazing place to stay - photos do not do it justice. We had everything we needed and more - stunning views, a clean property, comfy beds, large kitchen. I would be happy to stay here again!

What a beautiful house. We stayed here because the original property we booked through air bnb (another of Kim’s properties) was unexpectedly unavailable so Kim was good enough to upgrade us free of charge to this house. Location was beautiful, lovely park less than a minute from the house great for our 3 year old. Nice and clean, spacious, lovely garden. My partner was super happy with his 40th birthday trip. Melbourne was awesome we will definitely be back. Thanks Kim we had a great time.

So glad that we got to experience Bend of Islands while staying here - from day1 it felt like home and after 10days it was hard to leave! Andrew is the perfect host who made us immediately feel welcome and was quick to respond to any queries - we had a minor issue with the bbq that was resolved asap. The house is an architectural triumph that sits beautifully in the natural surrounds - breakfast on the verandah watching the wildlife will remain a fave memory. It has every convenience (I’ve never owned a microwave so didn’t miss not having one), is comfortable and well catered to. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here and if our daughter remains in the area we’ll be back! Thankyou, Jody & Dan

A nice place for a summer family getaway!

Kellie was a great host. Was extremely responsive and quick to respond. Coffee machine was not working and she brought us a brand new one the same day! Host responded to all messages quickly. Would stay there again.

Our stay at Jono's place for Christmas was brilliant. Communication leading up to the stay was clear and responsive, and our request to check in a little earlier was accommodated. Jono had booked the rooftop for us for Christmas Day breakfast, which was excellent, and the courtyard offered great privacy. Certainly a place I would look at booking again the next time I am in Melbourne catching up with family. The arrival Christmas hamper was also a really nice touch.

Little Retreat is relaxing and in a great location. We didn’t use the spa but it looked inviting. The bathroom was fresh and clean and I appreciated the Turkish towels. To me it felt like bush meets beach. It is bushy all around the accommodation and the lake. It felt relaxing and private. I really appreciated the electric barbecue to cook on. Suzy and Rick were easy to communicate with. They obviously love sharing their property.

The place I stayed was great—comfortable, clean, and conveniently located. I had a really pleasant experience and would definitely recommend it!

Wonderful host and great accommodation. We were greeted and shown around the apartment upon our arrival. This was the first time a host had taken the time to show me where everything was and it was much appreciated! The space is walking distance to everything you need, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, beach and trams. Highly recommend.

The place was very nice, we enjoyed our stay here a lot. It's perfect for a couple of days in Melbourne. Close to the beach and lot of restaurants and bars nearby. There's also a tram station close by that brings you to the city center.

We had an excellent stay at Simon’s place! The apartment is in a fantastic location with a beautiful view of the city. It’s well-equipped with a microwave for warming food and a kettle, which was perfect for our needs. Being on a high floor, we enjoyed the cool spring breeze without needing to use the AC. We encountered a small issue with the towels, which seemed to have a slight odor, likely due to air drying indoors. However, Simon was incredibly responsive and proactive; after we reached out, he promptly provided four fresh towels, which made a huge difference. His attentiveness and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay even better. Thank you, Simon, for your excellent service—highly recommended!” 👍👍👍👍

Troy’s place is fantastic. We had a great family get together with plenty of space to relax, cook and easy walks to cafes and bars. The apartment is so well fitted out and the terrace was a great spot to chat and have a few quiet drinks. Tram to the city runs from just down the road. We couldn’t recommend Troy’s apartment highly enough.

Leon was an exceptional host! This place was an absolute gem! if your looking for peace, and quiet with a great view whilst having breakfast, having cooked it with either the BBQ or in the Kitchen! There is so many wineries, restaurants, shopping centres and other variety of stores! If your seeking tranquillity then this is the ideal location for a weekend away💯💯💯

We had the most magical time in Shellies cabin. The surroundings were unmatched and cabin was great. Shellie even provided food for us as well as bird seed to feed the birds, which made it all the more lovely. Couldn't recommend this higher. if you're looking for a romantic stay away or just beautiful get away. The location is great too, just a short walk into the shops and famous miss Marples tee rooms.

Just back from a fabulous stay in the North Lodge. Travelling solo from England and this was everything I hoped it would be; peaceful, comfortable, safe, restorative, practical. Shellie was amazing with wonderful attention to detail throughout the stay and a brilliant hamper at the start - fantastic! The birds feeding from the balcony were also superb! Sassafras itself and the forests and mountains are a really great place to kick back, unwind and relax. A fantastic holiday - thank you!

Cottonwood was such a peaceful and delightful place to stay. Between the spacious cottage, gorgeous wildlife and easy-going host it is impossible to fault this place. Malcom was so kind and we loved meeting his donkey and it's foal. What a getaway! would 100% recommend and return.
