Cabin vacation rentals in Marlborough District

Lisa was friendly and welcoming from the start with a great explanation/ tour of the amenities and accommodation. She was gracious after an accidental breakage. Absolutely incredible and charming property we'd hope to stay in again if we return to Picton. The outdoor shower is secluded and super refreshing!

We had a great 4 nights at Debra's remote and idyllic place. We swam, walked took out the kayaks, and played pool in the games room. The house exceeded our expectations. The views were fabulous and the whole vibe relaxed and friendly. Thank you for a great stay.

This isn't just a night in a cabin, it's an experience! Seeing how this couple have embraced their natural resources and are living so sustainably in harmony with all that the Earth provides is inspiring. The hosts are thoughtful and generous with their bounty and I cherished every minute. The food and spa is a real treat and I highly recommend getting the dinner. I will definitely be back, but I won't access it from Wakefield.

Very happy to stay at David’s cabin. He was absolutely lovely, friendly. His place is clean, cosy and homey, almost made us kind of sad to leave, will definitely recommend and stay again if we’re in Picton.

I had a lovely stay at Peter & Heather’s shack. Very much appreciated the little touches and could feel the love they have poured into the space. Everything had been thought of. The eco friendly toilet and gas shower were no problem. I enjoyed these interesting elements and everything was very clean. Thank you for a great stay, highly recommend.

Terrific place to stay, superb location near Abel Tasman and other national parks. Had everything we needed!

This is a very comfortable stay. I won’t focus on the inside, others have done this. I want to talk about the location. The cabin is so close to the water taxis, a 10 min walk away. I really loved sitting on the porch watching the dawn and dusk bird show. There are so many birds to see around the cabin, that it is worth a quiet stroll.

Wow… this place is amazing… the photos and descriptions don’t do it justice AT ALL. We had huge weather issues on our way to checkin, road closures etc, we ended up driving from Havelock to Blenheim and back through to Picton as slips had closed the havelock access. Karen and John assisted us with communication, checking other road closures, water taxis… the lot! We ended up arriving 4 hours late and by car, but man was it worth it! The property manager had lit the fire for us and the boat shed cottage was amazing and exceeded all expectations!! We almost don’t want to tell anyone about it because we want to keep it our little secret! Thank you so much Karen, John and Scotty. What a wonderful slice of heaven on earth! Will be back 110% ☺️☺️☺️

A great overnight stay and very peaceful. Francesco and family are very welcoming and lovely to talk to.

Staying at this little cottage in Nydia Bay was like stepping into a tropical oasis. We managed to get 7 days of stunning summer weather. It’s absolutely stunning. It’s private and quiet. We swam in the sea off the jetty everyday sometimes a few times a day. We walked on the Nydia track in both directions. We read and wrote and talked and enjoyed being completely off line. The cottage has everything you need. Marty and Sabine are awesome people. Such interesting and generous people. They made Sean a beautiful dinner as it was his birthday during our stay. We miss the peacefulness of being there and would love to return.

Such a lovely wee cabin surrounded by trees, birds and totally private. Ava (mum) welcomed us when we arrived and told us what was happening around the area. She explained where things were in the cabin and let us know that she was available if we needed. Had a fabulous time and hope to return. Thanks team!
