House vacation rentals in Mad River

This is a beautiful property tucked away in the hills of farmland above Norwich. It was perfect for an extended family getaway. Kids loved the pool, ping-pong table and pool table and we loved cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. Great little hike with outstanding views about 20 minutes away on Gile Mountain.

Cory and Sofia’s place is wonderful. Exactly what we needed to get away for a long weekend. The house is down a long dirt road with a lot of privacy and peace where you can just hang out and take in all the mountain scenery. The back yard is great. Our chocolate lab loved playing fetch in the apple orchard in the morning. The house itself is very cozy and a large amount of space for guests. Plenty of areas to hang out and chill. This was my first time cooking with an AGA stove, which I loved. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing time staying here for a long weekend. The instructions to finding the home were exactly as described. William even called a day in advance to give the heads up that there was a snow storm heading that way when we’d be traveling which was very helpful! I would definitely say if you’re going in the winter make sure to have good tires as you are going up a bit of a steep hill if there is snow, luckily with an SUV it wasn’t too hard to navigate. The views were great and it was perfect to stay in cook and sit around the fire at night watching some movies. Exactly what we wanted out of this weekend. Would highly recommend this lovely stay.

The house was immaculately clean, beautifully styled, and the listing was just as pictured and described. The property was well stocked and a perfect location for a quiet relaxation getaway with family. Bob the host was very responsive and flexible with check-in time which we very much appreciated. My family had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay immensely. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning someday.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, peaceful and stylish house. It was perfect for us to share as three friends/colleagues : beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and luxuriously soft towels. Kitchen well supplied. Two great living areas. Set amongst trees. Beautiful walking trails nearby and a short drive to the gondola and peaks. Edelweiss Deli is a short drive away with delicious local food and drinks. We didn’t want to leave these gorgeous surroundings! Highly recommended.

If I could give 100 stars, I would. This house is spacious, beautifully decorated and stocked with every possible convenience and extra you could want. The hosts were responsive and proactive, no problems at all, but went above and beyond before our stay with some last minute questions we had. They then checked in partway through the stay to make sure everything was good. Our middle daughter moved to VT after college and wanted to host Thanksgiving. We had our whole family up to this beautiful house for the holiday. Already booked a 2nd stay!

Loved the area, house and host. David was very proactive and responsive. Everything was as described. We had a fantastic time exploring Vermont.

Lovely house and beautiful lot! Spent lots of time playing in the yard, swimming in the pool and exploring all the things that Stowe has to offer. We'll be back!

Couldn't be happier! Erica was so responsive and flexible. The house was fantastic for my scenario: a big group of family friends attending a wedding and hanging out together for a week. Just make sure you understand this is a big, old New England house and there are quirks and imperfections that come along with that. All 10+ of us were very comfortable and happy.

We were hosting a wedding at Bliss Ridge and Doug’s home was spacious and nearby. The view and home are amazing. Doug assisted us with details around furniture and catering and Alex was an attentive caretaker. The kitchen had EVERYTHING and there was plenty of seating, comfy places to sit and a terrific game room.

Our stay was incredible!!! It was south of Stowe, so we were able to get to hiking destinations and things that we wanted to do without driving through Stowe. Stowe was insanely packed during the day. Despite being near that, it was extremely quiet at the house and it was just the getaway that we were hoping for. It was so peaceful! We got to see the morning sunrise on the mountains in the background off the porch and the first morning of waking up in the master bedroom and seeing the leaves and mountains right through the glass bedroom door through the large windows was breathtaking. The house was very easy to get to, was extremely well maintained and well appointed. We had all of the kitchen items we needed to cook meals; the glassware and plates were very nice. It was super cozy and quiet with the kids hanging out in the lower level - couldn't hear a thing in the master bedroom. Kimberly was also able to accommodate an early arrival for us due to Hurricane Milton. THANK YOU!

Wonderful place for adults and kids! The place was beautiful, spacious and clean. Beautiful neighborhood too, next to the lake. We highly recommend it! The communicaiton and access to the house were very good!

This little slice of paradise is perfect for a family vacation! It is truly an ideal location surrounded by beauty. The home is sparkling clean and cozy - also loaded with fun games for the whole family. We would love to come again and highly recommend it!

This home is beautiful, spacious and is surrounded by nature. The backyard had a huge deck with a tree lined backyard and you can hardly see the next neighbour. There are rolling hills and cows in the next pasture. So serene. The house has lots of room in the main area for our family, it never felt crowded. The kitchen looks better then the pictures, with a huge island and the entire house is fully stocked. You can tell this is not just a rental as it had more then we expected to live comfortably. She was also kind enough to bring us some baby items. The location is great as wherever you turn it's beautiful but also within driving distance to Stowe. The local towns are really cute too. Our family really enjoyed our time here.

Jeff’s home exceeded our expectations. The photos listed do not do this home justice. The home was gorgeous and the land was incredible. There was a small waterfall just a short hike behind the house. No people in sight. It was extremely peaceful. On top of that, Jeff, our host, was incredibly responsive. He checked in on us daily and gave us recommendations. We 100% recommend this location

The house was perfect for our stay. It was nestled in the woods with a beautiful view and a short drive into Stowe. The accommodations were comfortable and cozy and the kitchen was well stocked. Karen was very responsive and accommodated us during check-in. Would book again!
