House vacation rentals in Mad River

We had a great 3 night stay for a family ski trip to Stowe. The place was much nicer than the pictures give it credit for! Felt pretty updated and we loved the art/decor. The 2 br and 2 full baths are on the 2nd floor. Our kids stayed in the br with 2 smaller twins (beds perfect for smaller kids & fit our middle schooler, but beds likely not big enough for taller adults/teens!). AirBNB was stocked with games, and we didn't have time for the pool/hot tub, but was a quick drive through the parking lot. We bought food at the organic grocery a few minutes away for snacks/breakfasts, but had lunch/dinner out. Piecasso and Idyletime were both great meals and only a few minute drive away. We ended up driving to the mountain and (paid) parking wasn't an issue in the mornings, but over the holidays, parking filled up at the main lots by afternoon. The shuttle bus is a close walk, but parking at the resort was surprisingly easy. Thank you!! Would definitely recommend!!

This is a beautiful property tucked away in the hills of farmland above Norwich. It was perfect for an extended family getaway. Kids loved the pool, ping-pong table and pool table and we loved cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. Great little hike with outstanding views about 20 minutes away on Gile Mountain.

This location was one of my favorites! More than accommodating, so clean, super family friendly! perfect space for family and friends to gather and enjoy the time together 💜 it was an incredible stay, we cannot wait to come back!

This was a great stay for us! We stayed at the Broadloaf Mountain Cottage during the winter so we could do some snowshoeing and winter hiking. The cottage itself was just as described and the views are difficult to describe but in a word, 'Majestic'. The location is remote but that is what we were looking for. Access to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. are about 25 minutes away which was fine for us. William's hospitality was second to none. On our arrival he had already stopped by and even prepared some kindling for the woodstove. As we were unfamiliar with the area, William even stopped by one morning to chat and point out some locations for use to try. This was extremely helpful and his recommendations were spot on for what we were looking for. We'll look forward to returning again for certain.

Our stay in Sara and Mikes home in Waitsfield was incredible! Upon arrival into the mad river valley, the surrounding views were instantly beautiful and calming. The moment we stepped in the house we honestly felt right at home. The layout of the house is so calming and tasteful. Everything is perfectly organized, down to the labeling for all of the dishes and cookware so you’ll never have trouble finding what you need! Waking up and heading by downstairs for a workout in the home gym, followed by a dip in the hot tub on the secluded back deck was an insanely relaxing way to start the day. The custom built bed frames/furniture and the overall craftsmanship of the space added a comforting artistic value to the stay. Don’t get me started on the screen porch! This house is full of amenities and I’ve honestly never felt more at home at an air b&b stay. Nice quiet respectful neighborhood in an amazing community, would recommend this spot to anyone and we hope to return in the future!

Lovely house and beautiful lot! Spent lots of time playing in the yard, swimming in the pool and exploring all the things that Stowe has to offer. We'll be back!

Bjorn’s place is a gem. We went in January and it was a winter wonderland. The living room has an unbeatable view of Mount Abraham, and our toddlers felt the basement had an unbeatable selection of toys. The kitchen is stocked with essentials and had every tool you’d need. We used the sauna every night which made the cold winter days melt away. After an inch or two of snowfall we were worried about driving down the driveway and on the roads into to town. Bjorn was super responsive about our concern and it turned out we had no trouble at all. We hope to be back!

This is a very spacious, comfortable house perfect for a friend group or family trip. Tons of bedrooms and common areas to hang in, a nice backyard while still being walkable into Bristol’s town center. Sneak tip for winter visitors - the kitchen/bathroom/mudroom are have HEATED FLOORS!!! This was a nice little surprise after skiing/coming in from the cold. The hosts are great as well, very responsive and interested in guests having a wonderful vacation at their house! Worth noting for skiers that the drive to sugarbush/mad River is a little steep & windy but if you’ve got 4 wheel drive and take it slow it’s not a problem at all. It was a perfect base of operations for our ski trip!!! Would love to go back next year

We were hosting a wedding at Bliss Ridge and Doug’s home was spacious and nearby. The view and home are amazing. Doug assisted us with details around furniture and catering and Alex was an attentive caretaker. The kitchen had EVERYTHING and there was plenty of seating, comfy places to sit and a terrific game room.

Very nice host !! Airbnb was very cozy and accessible, would highly recommend :)

Incredible space - only complaint is we didn’t rent it for a week! Luxe details - the beds, the towels, even the smallest thoughtful details made it extraordinary. Jen nailed it, 10/10. My family agreed it was one of the most relaxing, comfortable weekends we could’ve experienced. Truly special. Thank you to Jen for taking the time to create such a wonderful space for guests to enjoy.

Awesome place! Great spot to catch up with some friends and spend some time on the slopes. House had everything we needed and more. Comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Can't beat the view of Mt. Mansfield. Host was great. Very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend.

Great space for our cousins trip close to the mountains to ski and close to downtown for those who didn’t ski. The house was large enough for us to spread out and play board games. Very comfortable beds and the kitchen is well stocked we had a great time.

The house was perfect for our large family in town for the UVM graduation. Very close to school and close enough to walk to Church Street. The house was comfortable and clean and came as described. Having no access to a kitchen sink was the only thing that was somewhat difficult but we knew going in that we had no kitchen to use. Coffee machine, microwave and toaster got us though the weekend.

Liza’s home was beautiful, and it couldn’t be closer to Stowe Mountain Resort. It was the perfect ski trip house for my group, and the host was incredibly accommodating and helpful.

This home is beautiful, spacious and is surrounded by nature. The backyard had a huge deck with a tree lined backyard and you can hardly see the next neighbour. There are rolling hills and cows in the next pasture. So serene. The house has lots of room in the main area for our family, it never felt crowded. The kitchen looks better then the pictures, with a huge island and the entire house is fully stocked. You can tell this is not just a rental as it had more then we expected to live comfortably. She was also kind enough to bring us some baby items. The location is great as wherever you turn it's beautiful but also within driving distance to Stowe. The local towns are really cute too. Our family really enjoyed our time here.

Booked the house for a night with some friends. The house was in a very nice area with an amazing view. It was very spacious and everything was perfectly clean and organized. The decorations were quite intriguing with a heavy vintage inspiration. James communicated very well, and he even offered to look for something someone potentially forgot at the house. Well worth the price with a great view.

Very unique house with incredible views. Great location for getting outside, and had everything we needed. Was perfect for skiing and we would love to see this place in the summer!

Perfection! This is a beautiful house in a beautiful location! Very private spot surrounded by gorgeous trees and mountain views. The location is also excellent for a quick easy drive to Sugarbush and everything else that makes the Mad River Valley so interesting and fun to visit. Our family LOVED IT and we will be back! Jeff is an excellent host, very friendly and helpful but not invasive in any way.

my wife and I stayed here and everything about our trip was amazing !! we loved the location, very secluded with amazing views, the house itself was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Susan is an amazing host, she’s very friendly and responds well ((: highly recommend staying here !!

Had to wash some dishes before use, but other than that it was perfect. It was great having a fenced in back yard for pets
