Castle vacation rentals in Lower Franconia

Completely satisfied, we had all 4 rooms at the same time, but also well to use with other guests. Those who like Potter will enjoy it very much!

We wanted to leave the city spontaneously, into the countryside and found this extraordinary apartment in a moated castle. Furnished with attention to detail, kitchen very well equipped for self-catering and all super clean. All in all a dream for a short stay to relax.

I’d give 10 stars if I could - Karl and Anna were the perfect hosts, the apartment was even more gorgeous live, incredibly clean and probably one of the best Air B&Bs I have stayed at - we just wished we would have booked it for longer! Despite the summer months, it was nice and cool inside the bedrooms - it was just so perfect for our party of 5… If you are looking to explore the Bavaria/Thuringia area in Germany, do yourself a favor and book Karl’s & Anna’s place. It is a total gem and will make you feel like you were dropped in the middle of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale…! Thanks so much Anna & Karl!

Me and my family stayed here for Christmas and we had such a great time! The castle is very nice and inside the rooms were lovely! I stayed in the last room which has a lot of baroque decor and furniture, truly beautiful! Florian was easy to reach and quick to answer and we are very grateful for being able to stay here.

Amazing history and what an experience! To spend the night in a place so lovingly taken care of for so many years was heartwarming. Breakfast was homemade and charming, and Hans made time for a tour of the castle. It was stepping back in time for 24 hours, it was a magical experience. The castle restoration isn't completely unfinished yet, but this added immensely to the charm and mystery. It makes you appreciate the restored areas much more! We hope to stay again soon one day.

Chic apartment with everything you need. Very modern furnishings and clean. Check in was easy and flexible. A little off the beaten path, but grocery store and a pizzeria nearby. Great location in the castle.

We were a group of friends with partners and celebrated New Year's Eve together. It was really very nice and we felt very much at home. The communication in advance was very good and we had no problems finding everything. The place was large, the beds comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We also had the opportunity to take a short walk through the village and it was very quiet and tranquil. We would recommend a visit to anyone.

unfortunately, we were only in the castle for 1 night, on the way back home. We would have liked to have stayed longer. If you are looking for modern comfort, this is not the place to be. But if you're looking for something special, you'll find a lot here. Unfortunately, we did not meet the castle ghost. Maybe if we had stayed longer, who knows .......
