Family-friendly vacation rentals in Leicestershire

Location was excellent for our purposes (in the center of the city, few minutes walking distance from the University, the market and the railway station) The host was a bit slow in responding before arrival in the UK, but issues regarding were resolved upon arrival at the airport. Overall the apartment was in good to excellent condition apart from some issues which were considered minor due to the relative short stay of 8 days. (One window was very tricky to open and close, the freezer needed some defrosting, one of the faucets had a broken drainer, no towels or sheets were changed during the length of our stay)

Had a lovely stay in the lodge. Beds comfy, place was clean and luxurious, great to have robes for when utilising the hot tub. Temp of hot tub did unfortunately vary and was cold on first night but soon sorted through instructions from host. Overall a very lovely stay with beautiful views and secluded quiet environment.WiFi a bonus! Lovely touches including bottle of wine, welcome note and folder providing info on local area and places to eat. We enjoyed visiting the foxton locks, the local tearoom and the local market for some lovely fresh produce.

Lynden warmly welcomed us into a cozy escape. A host can make the difference in any stay and she went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This is a great gem and better value, for anyone looking to enjoy some tranquility, be grounded by yourself or make memories with someone special as I did. You have the comforts of home at your finger tips and company of well looked after farm animals. We enjoyed exploring the local area on foot as love walking in rural areas, finding the villages, best local produce, pubs, restaurants etc, following a route Lynden recommend herself. Even a short and cheap taxi into some nearby areas allowed us to expand the area to still find more to do and unique dog friendly pubs. We wish only to have been able to stay longer Thank you Lynden and Andy

We had a lovely few days in posie lodge just relaxing during storm darragh. The lodge was Warm and cosy with the added benefit of having the hot tub. We Would definatly recommend coming here for a relaxing break. 10/10 from us ;-)

Just got home from a lovely, relaxing stay here. Met up with 5 friends who now live all over the country and this was a great, central location. Tom met us as we arrived and showed us how everything worked. House was clean with some quirky lamps, each bedroom had an en-suite plus kettle and cups. The hot tub was a perfect addition. Lost many an hour chatting away while sat in it. Would definitely stay again.

Extremely secluded cabin. Stayed there for 2 nights and had a great time. Very peaceful. The cabin itself is very cozy and I felt at home. The location was quite easy to find with the instructions provided. The sauna and hot tub were great and quite easy to use. I left feeling so rejuvenated. Overall, a great stay, I can’t recommend it enough. I will most likely be booking again, and can hopefully stay a bit longer!

Lovely location, nice and peaceful with short distance to bigger cities. Excellent for visiting friends and enjoying the countryside!

Such a wonderful stay with my friends. The house felt so cosy and welcoming. 20 min walk into the centre which isn’t bad at all. The house is located in a beautiful area. We will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely spectacular location and place—one of my all-time favorite Airbnbs. Incredibly quiet and peaceful, yet 10 minutes from town and attractions. Very communicative and helpful host. Hope to stay again next year!

We had a lovely weekend away at The Hayloft! It proved la wonderful base for a relaxing short break. The living areas are presented to a very high spec…and a combination of comfort and ‘cosyness’ ensured that we felt very much at home. The ‘extras’ provided were really appreciated and ensured that we enjoyed touches of luxury throughout our stay. We would not hesitate to return.

Perfect place to relax! So comfortable, cosy and peaceful. Very homely and wonderful hosts! We enjoyed walking to Foxton Locks which is not far and seeing their lovely horses and dogs. I highly recommend that you stay here!

This is such a lovely house, very clean, with books, a spacious loft room, and a garden to relax in. The location is near to a tram stop; shops, Tesco's, Sainsbury's are about 15 minutes' walk away. The welcome fruit and wine added a thoughtful touch to the welcome extended to us. Thank you, Michael and Heather, for a wonderful stay!

We had such a lovely stay at Hazel Lodge. We found the lodge really clean and tidy. It's comfy and the area is very quiet. Its was a perfect place for us to stay as family live nearby. We had a lovely walk around the marina. Thank you Pat for letting us stay at your Lodge.

Had a lovely stay over the weekend! Such a spacious apartment with everything you could possibly need available. All rooms were spotlessly clean and the apartment had a homely feel to it. For the short time we stayed, thoroughly enjoyed it here, absolutely recommend and would definitely stay again!

The Coach House was small but perfectly formed. The bed was really comfy. The location was so convenient for the fantastic Queen’s Road eateries such as The Tiny Bakery, Halcyon and Barceloneta. Lyla and her family were very friendly. We would return for sure.

Christina is a very responsive host and has a lovely home, it is beautiful (exactly as seen in the pictures online) clean and very user friendly! There are little notes around the flat to guide you on how to use appliances and stuff. The flat is fully equipped with living essentials and heating is perfect. Walkable distance to the bus stop (6 minutes). We needed to check out slightly later than 11am and Christina allowed us with no hassle at all. I'd definitely choose her flat when next I visit Nottingham, for it is practically home away from home and I would 100% recommend!

Fabulous 3 night stay as a family of 6. Cottage is bigger than it appears in the photos, plenty of room for all of us. Really well equipped, great shower, wonderful location, lots of charm. Children loved the cats that came to visit and looking out on the horses. Dermot and Anne were lovely hosts, really friendly and gave us useful local information along with breakfast items, tea coffee etc. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and book again. An absolute gem.
