Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lavenham

Had a wonderful stay, the house was perfect to stay in whilst attending a family wedding close by. Ideal location with Ely in walking distance and everything you could need, The house was really spacious and comfortable for 4 adults to stay in, it was also really homely and loved the decor! This is the second time we've stayed at The Pretty Fox, and we loved it--again! It's a very cosy house that has many historic features, and Wanda and Tom make you feel completely "at home." It's also a perfect place for walking into Diss, which is a great little town. We highly recommend this home.

Lovely stay in a perfect location.. we stayed with our newborn as our first get away together and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Comfortable, clean, warm, scenic. We will be visiting again later in the year and recommending to friends and family. Thank you for a great stay.

Property is a mixture of architectural and decorative styles with an interesting, quirky character. Good heating and overall facilities with well-equipped kitchen. Only downside with the kitchen was that the oven hadn’t been completely cleaned of grease after previous residents. There are two en-suite bathrooms but no downstairs toilet, so the 3rd bedroom guest will have to use one of the en-suites. Towels and bedding were clean and comfortable. Christmas trees were a nice, seasonal touch. There is a general stores and good cafe just 20m away and an excellent pub/restaurant around the corner. Parking is on-street but not difficult to find a space nearby. There are good walks around the minor roads, farmland and village common nearby. The castle can be accessed with a key obtainable from the stores. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location for a quiet getaway in a lovely large country house. Felt right at home from the start.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Marcus ensured we were very well informed before arrival providing a guest book with comprehensive information and recommendations. We were greeted with bottles of wine & the house was very warm & music sound system set up. The barn is absolutely beautiful & immaculate. It is in a very remote area but this suited us all as we were happy to stay in and enjoy it. The log burner, games room & hot tub were added bonuses. A big thank you to Marcus for a truly amazing weekend break away with good friends ❤️

Lovely couple of days staying in Claire’s beautifully presented, cosy and clean house. Great position within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants and pubs of West Mersea. We were able to walk around the island and along the beaches straight from the house so didn’t need to drive anywhere which was a real bonus. The house is well equipped with a lovely terraced garden and plenty of seating to sit or eat outside. The wood burner warmed the downstairs area up beautifully and there was plenty of hot water for showers. It was a little tricky to work out how to turn the radiators on so maybe some written instructions in the house or add it to this listing?

Just got back from a lovely stay over New Year. We loved how they’d put some Christmas decorations inside and the accommodation was lovely with everything we needed. There were even a few treats on arrival which was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay here again.

The place was very cozy, and exactly as described. Saving was an excellent host!

Julia was as good as can be, very helpful and communication was very good. The advertised photos were a little different to what was there, hence I gather a few things have changed over time. The location is great and very peaceful. There are some very nice walks to go on but I would definitely recommend a having a car. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again!

Lovely stay at the lodge for two nights. Everything you could need and lovely and clean. The underfloor heating was well received.

We really enjoyed our stay at Robert and Lorraine's house. The flat is right opposite the beach which is amazing. The flat was very clean. Beds were comfortable. There were plenty of clean towels which was very handy. overall a very positive experience.

This is an incredible find in this area! The property is located above two businesses that are not open after 17:00 typically so there is no one to disturb below you! The kitchen is spacious and comfortable to work in and there are at least two grocery stores within a 3-minute walk. There is a butcher less than 100m from the apartment and ample choices for food. The ONE drawback is that the walls are INCREDIBLY this so cellphone and Wi-Fi coverage can be challenging. Keep your phone in your pocket and remember that the router is in the bedroom! Alex and Noy are exceptional hosts! They are responsive, friendly and communicate perfectly. I loved this place so much that it was the obvious choice when my stay in country was extended!

The house is located in a beautiful spot with many things to do in the near area. We stayed 2 weeks and never got bored. Anna is a great host with lots of good advice and help for us when we had a question.

We had a lovely stay in West Mersea this weekend. The airbnb is in a perfect location, with a short walk down to the beach. The property is beautiful and spacious and the projector is incredible! Tony and Mas were wonderful hosts and were easily contactable throughout our stay. Highly recommend.

The place was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. Convenient location and seamless check-in made it a perfect choice for a comfortable getaway.

Damian was a great host and the place was just amazing. We was three families with lots of kids and we didn't leave the house once. The gardens are so big and so beautiful, with 360 views, and the kids only came inside to sleep. The house was just as it is in the pictures and I think it had just had a mini makeover as you could smell fresh paint. The pool table was great for the adults and I think there was pretty much at least one person in the hot tub for the whole stay. We are already negotiating to book again for next Easter so hopefully we will be back soon. If you are looking for peace, quiet and privacy, this the place.

Fabulous house in a beautiful area. House was incredibly well equipped and everything was a really high quality. Loads of essentials in the fridges and high end toiletries in all bathrooms. Cant recommend Jacqui enough as a wonderful host. And really dog friendly.
