Guesthouse vacation rentals in Lake Rotorua / Te Rotorua nui ā Kahumatamomoe

We stayed at Ngaire’s private guesthouse and had a wonderful time. The huge property was perfect for the kids to play, and the private beach with direct access to the lake and kayaks was an absolute highlight. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. Ngaire is incredibly kind and thoughtful, and our children immediately saw her as a loving grandmother. A beautiful place in an idyllic setting – highly recommended.

This felt like a private French cottage with all the amenities and strong Internet signal. Swimming pool and Maisey (sp?) the dog were an extra treat. Juliet was very responsive to all our queries, very patient. If you just want to get away, and breathe, this little gem is for you.

Great stay. We had both the house and the studio. Perfect for a large group. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Recommended.

Brenda's place is wonderful! You feel right at home, surrounded by nature and her beautiful garden. Everything was spotless and well-maintained. Brenda is a fantastic host who suggested some local attractions to visit. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Serene peaceful place! We enjoyed the stay at Christmas Eve with our 4 months old puppy. Jerry and Cherry both were very hospitable with a lovely touch of the fresh eggs and Christmas cake!

Great location. Very peaceful. Loves the bird’s wake up calls. Beautiful surrounding. Great for walks during low tide and kayaking during high tides. Great waterfall and swimming hole close by. Plus a nice artisan bakery in Omokoroa!

Just outside of the busy core of the Mount. Perfect location and beautiful property. Easy quick walk to a quiet part of the beach. Parking right in front of the doorstep. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful family holiday😁location was great for our biking adventures, the house had all what we needed to come back to and relax, and our boys loved the backyard!

Amazing spot in a great location, the place was very tidy and perfect for a short stay while in Mt Maunganui

we spent three very pleasant days here. Lesley is super friendly and welcoming, but also very considerate, the room is very clean and everything is very good. There is a special suspension bridge around, it is worth seeing, the landlord also led us across the suspension bridge to observe the fireflies, so beautiful! In addition, it is not far from many attractions, such as Hobbiton, waitomo Glowworm Cave, Blue Springs, etc., and the transportation is also very convenient. If we come to New Zealand next time, we will choose to come here again

We loved our stay. The space is really cosy and there is a lovely private garden which catches the last of the evening sun. We were travelling with our little boy and Zoe kindly lent us some toys for him to play with. We also loved the mattress we slept on! so much so, we got the details of it from Zoe so we can get one for our home! We'd love to stay here again on our next trip to Papamoa.

Such a great place to stay, so well laid out with an amazing decor. The attention to detail is next level, everything you need is there. Great place to unwind after a busy days work, quick walk to the beach for a swim before back to the place for an outdoor shower. Carla was an amazing host with clear, transparent instructions and even a little personalised message on arrival! We can't wait to return

We loved our stay here . The pod may be small but it is so well equipped and so comfortable. We liked being so near the Redwoods and enjoyed visiting the thermal attractions . If we are ever lucky enough to return to New Zealand we would stay again 🙂

Stayed here for three nights and had the most wonderful time. The place was easy to find with clear instructions for checking in, it was super tidy (and very cute!) and located down a nice, quiet street - but only a two minute walk to the (beautiful) beach. There's a supermarket and a few restaurants within walking distance, and a million more just a short drive away towards the mount. Would highly recommend for a couple's getaway! :)

Glendyr met us as we pulled up to the property and welcomed us to her home and the apartment we had booked. She showed us around pointing out areas we could use during our stay and how to use some appliances. We saw her most days we were there and she always asked how our days were. Barney her golden retriever dog was an absolute beauty and so good. We would definitely recommend her property for the ideal place to stay if you would like something a bit quieter but not far from the city. If we return to New Zealand we will most definitely reach out to see if the property is available to book. Thank you so much Glendyr for our enjoyable stay.

This was such a cozy, comfortable place to stay. The host thought of everything! The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We loved it.

We loved staying here. A truly beautiful location and we enjoyed waking up the bush and Kaimai ranges. The cottage was really comfortable and had everything we needed.

We had no problem with a late check-in. We were instructed on how to access the cottage and could go straight to bed. The next morning, we introduced ourselves and received a small workshop tour. The two of them were incredibly helpful and even called Hobbit to secure tickets for us, which worked out. Thank you, Jennifer & Graeme

Stayed one night and have a lovely night. Walking distance to papamoa township and a short drive to the mount. The place has everything including breakfast , toiletries and a lovely garden surrounding. Penny, the host, is friendly and responsive

We had an absolutely amazing stay! ‘The Shed’ exceeded all expectations! The home was spotless and incredibly cozy, with every detail thoughtfully considered! The location was perfect, calm and peaceful in the countryside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Rachael was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any questions we had! We can’t recommend this place highly enough and would love to come back again!

This is truly five star accommodation. Every little detail was thought of. Most beautiful decor. So modern. Best bed we’ve slept on. So private. Heather had a basket of bakery items on the counter ready for us. Fridge had water, drinks, milk yoghurt. All other necessities like coffee, tea, sugar, muesli and spreads in cupboard. Such a relaxing few days, it’s a shame we didn’t get time to make use of the spa pool, but between watching regattas and doing sightseeing, we ran out of time. Will have to come back and I’m sure we will. Thanks David & Heather.
