Large estate with pond near beaches

SaraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This was a fabulous destination! We were looking for a big place to have a special anniversary party weekend with extended family, and this house had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms upstairs and first floor, many common gathering areas, large kitchen and dining room tables, and lots of Space. (And this doesn't even include the explorable property outside.) The dozens of photos in the listing were very helpful, as well as the detailed descriptions. We had specific needs for elderly relatives with disabilities, and owner Lynne was so responsive in her replies to my many messages with varied questions. Truly, Lynne, you deserve a gold star from Airbnb for promptness and offering up ways and help that made our stay both easier and fulfilling.

Waterfront Retreat on the Mystic River

ColleenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful weekend at Ann’s home. She was easy to communicate with and generously accommodating of a special request. The house itself was spotless, kitchen well equipped, and the property’s serene setting was beautifully complimented by their home design / decor. A truly special place and perhaps our best AirBNB experience.

Rogers Lake House (87) · CT College+Beach+USCGA

RajithRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Not much to add to others’s reviews - we really enjoyed the home, and would like to visit again and stay here. We were doing a Mystic and New Haven trip, and found this ideally situated. The home was very clean, pretty, and user friendly (especially the TVs in almost every room haha). The highlight for my family was being able to take the kayaks out on the lake - our boys really enjoyed paddling on the calm and vast and very beautiful lake. Note that they will need to be carried to the lake across the road, so you will need some carrying power - was easy for us since our teens helped, but just wanted to share in case you have smaller kids. Totally worth it though!!

Modern Cottage near beach & URI

HeidiRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Bria’s home was outstanding in just about every way. It was absolutely adorable, clean to the point that everything looked brand new, appointed with nearly everything we could need, and super close to Narragansett Beach and shops. When we arrived, we were impressed to see a bowl of water set up for our dogs and a bag of treats for them on the counter (along with an assortment of goodies for the kids, aged 6 and 9, and adults as well). Very thoughtful! We found the yard to be an amazing asset for our dogs, who normally need time to adjust to new surroundings on vacation. They felt right at home! The neighborhood was peaceful. The only neighbor we saw smiled and waved as he drove by. As small as it is on paper, the home did not feel small to our family of 4. It was just right for a week’s vacation. Bria was a responsive host, helping us find everything we needed in the area. All in all, I would highly recommend Bria’s place!

A very accurate listing with a super helpful host. This was our first time using Air BnB and I was a little nervous. Everything was beyond my expectations! Listing was exactly as pictured and described. Host was very explicit with self-check in instructions, guest instructions, etc. We are very familiar with the area but never stayed in Matunuck before. Beautiful and very chill vibes! Thank you so much!

Duffy's on Lake Montauk 2

EugeneRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We've stayed at Kelly's before, and we keep coming back because it matches our vibes perfectly - quiet, private, and low-key. It's a great place to get away from the fast-paced city, and it's far enough removed from the center of Montauk that it really feels like you're the only ones there. Bonus - the stargazing in this part of the island is top-notch. You'd never expect that this close to the city. Check in and check out couldn't be easier.

Charlie and Kathy's seaside cottage was great for our weekend trip. Absolutely breathtaking view of the water - so amazing watching the herons and ducks during sunset. We loved the Matanuck Oyster House nextdoor and the house was a great base for nature walks and trips around the area. Charlie was very friendly and accommodating! Perfect for a couple.

Little slice of heaven! Wonderful location across the road from the spectacular beach..not crowded. I love a rustic cottage...reminds me how a cottage was during my youth. Nothing fancy but had everything you need. Sarah was very welcoming, left a personal note and salt water taffy. Neighbors were very friendly. Hope to stay again!

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is adorable, very clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Has a warm "homey" feel from the moment you walk inside. Big windows with lots of natural sunlight and views of the beautiful lake and landscape. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing and sitting outside. New! “LaBoDee”

SophiaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Really charming place that was exactly like the pictures. The kitchen had supplies for doing some light cooking, the place was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Just some heads up, if you're scared of bugs this isn't the best place for you. We stayed for 2 nights and saw 3-4 spiders (big yard spiders too). And we ended up having a wasp in the cottage and there were ants in the bathroom area. Next heads-up is that the cottage is directly next to the main house. Also, the place is a fishbowl at night and there is no curtain separating the bedroom area from the front windows. Just to keep in mind for privacy and how isolated you want to feel. Overall, it was a nice area and cozy place. We walked to the pond where there is a little dock that goes into the water. There's also a breakfast/deli type place that we could've walked to. We didn't spend too much time in Old Lyme itself but we drove up to Gilford Castle and Pandemonium Thrift Shop which was an awesome day trip!

Beach and Wine Time Country Cottage

PaulaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Deb’s place was very peaceful, comfortable, and well appointed. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed the interesting decor and personal style. It felt like staying in your own bed and breakfast. There were so many places to relax, and the front and back porches were so welcoming. The location can’t be beat if you want to check out the local wineries, farmstands, and great restaurants. An easy walk across the street to Peconic Bay, you can see from the upstairs bedroom. Kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need for cooking. Short ride to markets, farmstands, and Love Lane for shops and restaurants, about 20 minutes to Greenport.

Head of Pond House - Waterfront Cottage

JillRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Head of the Pond House was in such a beautiful peaceful setting and was exactly what we needed! Quaint, beautifully decorated, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked for a very relaxing stay. Monika was super proactive and helpful with recommendations and left us lots of local yummies. The birds and the sights on the pond (ice sailing!) were lovely. Highly recommend the cottage to take in all that the Hamptons has to offer in a peaceful and tranquil setting.
