Lake side house rentals in Lake Forest

The location of this rental is ideal, a block from the beach. The house is well equipped, as pictured in the listing. Our host Rich met us at the house and was very responsive in communication. He monitored some minor maintenance activity in the upper unit to ensure we weren’t bothered by noise. We enjoyed having access to the 2 cruiser bikes and garage parking for our car. I was a bit put off by the multiple emails from HappiTravels prior to our stay. I understand that Newport Beach has very strict regulations on parking, noise, etc, but I didn’t need to be reminded repeatedly. Overall a good stay.

Nicely laid out space. Plenty of room for 4 people and 2 dogs. All surfaces were clean and easy to clean. So many toys to use for the beach. Bikes, boogie boards, chairs and a wagon. Made it so much easier to pack. Great to have a laundry space. Parking was easy. Entering the place was easy. Ernie was very communicative. Loved the place. Will. Be back.

We had to evacuate our home in LA due to the wildfires. Michelle was quick to answer and very kind. Check in was so easy! We felt comfortable and safe.

We had a great stay at this property! It's fully remodeled, very clean and comfortable. Everything was provided, including nice bath towels (mini shampoo/conditioner/lotion, too), soft comfortable linen, fully stocked kitchen, etc. The property is steps away from Marine Avenue, the main street on Balboa Island, with great shops and restaurants. That being said, you are in a more vibrant and happening part of the island, which comes with a little more noise and traffic. We enjoyed being close to everything, walking around, etc. The host is responsive and super easy to work with.

Truly a convenient place for my family to stay in Orange County! It was spacious and had such amazing entertainment options for kids of all ages (ping pong, arcade style games, large screen TV, etc). We all wished we had more time just to take advantage of the amenities (large grass backyard and patio seating). We appreciated the comforts of a well appointement home in a safe and quiet neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place is super nice and conveniently located next to a supermarket and eateries, fully equipped with everything you need, and very spacious. Tony was a great host, and gave us all the instructions we needed. Would be happy to stay again!

Improvements made to home we stayed at before. Ranch house had everything we needed plus air fryer, rice cooker, electric tea kettle in the kitchen. Roomy living room. 4 good size bedrooms.

The location is great. It is a few minutes to Marine Ave with many shops and restaurants. It is about a 15 minute walk to the ferry. The furnishings are basic but, the accommodations are clean and spacious. Having a parking spot in the carport is very convenient. The host is responsive.

This was our second stay! Loved it here once again. The place is detached from the neighbours which is a big draw plus it’s in a great walking zone.

Stayed here because it was 10 minutes drive each way timo the Grand Prix in Long Beach and also in the same city my dad grew up in. This home was everything it was advertised to be. Great location, amazing views, awesome host. Especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the deck!

I had a wonderful stay. The space is great, the location is amazing, the bed is very comfortable. Such a treat.

Wonderful location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, a library, a playground, and beach. We loved heading out on foot to grab coffee and walk to the ocean, or to the beach along the canal which was so close and uncrowded. Great shower, washer and dryer in the unit, kind and responsive hosts. The window a/c units in each bedroom provided nice climate control. We were very comfortable and would’ve liked to have stayed longer. There is some road noise at night from the close proximity to 2nd street, and cars must be moved on Thursday/Friday due to street sweeping, but I was able to find parking a few blocks away on 2nd St, so I would suggest doing that rather than looking in the neighborhoods.

I was looking for a quiet place to stay to balance a very hectic work week. This place was perfect and was exactly as advertised as well as squeaky clean. Very quiet, peaceful and since I like to walk a fantastic place to walk in early morning or the afternoon. Will definitely try to stay here again.

Alexandra was a great host. She always responded to our messages quickly and even helped bring in some baby supplies we had ordered when flight delays caused us to check in a day late. We would definitely stay here again!

Rafaella and Giuseppe’s place was great for our trip to see family in Los Feliz. The house was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The garage was spacious and convenient (since a car is usually necessary in LA). The house is a short drive to all the fun Silver Lake has to offer.
