Villa vacation rentals in Lake Atitlán

Christalla and Carol’s stunning home was perfect for our short Lake Atitlán trip! Though there’s no road access, they kindly helped us arrange parking in Panajachel and a private boat to the dock. The house sits on a hill with what we think are the best views of the lake and the volcanoes. They provided water, coffee, bread and snacks, which was super helpful since you need to bring most of your food. From the house we explored Santa Cruz by tuk-tuk and the gorgeous San Juan by boat. The architecture is beautiful and the mattresses incredibly comfy. Roberto, who manages the property, is an absolute gem – always kind, helpful, and so welcoming. We loved our stay! There’s a significant number of stairs from the dock up to the house, and the house itself has several steps too, so it’s not suitable for those with mobility issues. And on our last night we had a full-on tropical downpour that cut the power till sunrise, but they have a stock of candles and battery lamps which helped a lot.

A beautiful place to get away from the crowds. The private beach made the difference. The view to the volcano and lake was unmatched. Definitely a place to stay again.

This place exceeded our expectations, it was even more beautiful than the photos! The living space is spacious and breathtaking, with a stunning yard that offers an unobstructed view of the volcano. The kitchen was fantastic, and we loved spending our evenings cooking dinner and grilling on the barbecue. Every night, we used the temazcal (like a sauna), which made our stay even more special. Lesley and the groundskeeper were incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel right at home. Lesley also shared local recommendations and kept us informed about daily events in San Marcos. An unforgettable stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

The house and location are beautiful. The groundskeeper is always available and willing to help, checking on us on a daily basis. The host provided tour services and was very communicative. The house is clean but there is some room for improvement. Please note: the house has a lot of steps/stairs, which is typical on a lake front property around Atitlan, but if you are traveling with an elderly group or disable guest, I would suggest staying at a hotel with accessible amenities. That said, we enjoyed our stay here, the views, amenities, and hot tub. PS: This is our second time in Atitlan, and we felt the prices of several services have gone up by a large margin (laundry services, home made meals, transportation (boat and Tuk Tuk), tours). Prices are going up globally so we expected a change but not as much. Expect to pay a tourist tax but pay attention. As a family, we support the local economy, and are aware and okay with paying extra but nobody likes feeling taken advantage of.

Our stay was beyond incredible. From the staff helping with the luggage up the stairs, to entering the place and seeing the beautiful views. The photos don’t capture it all. The beds were very comfortable, they have fans which my husband used since he likes it cooler at night. There was rain and thunder one night but during the day the sun and weather was perfect for kayaking and paddling boarding. Fredy the groundskeeper helped turn on the temezcal (sauna) each day after our morning swim on the lake. We got the chef for lunch and dinner, best decision and food was delectable and traditional. Erynne provided recommendations including where to buy the best coffee in the lake. The staff were always so sweet, welcoming and shared a lot about the indigenous culture with my teenagers. We saw three scorpions but my husband grabbed with the kitchen utensils and put them outside. You must be adventurous, if you are going to Lake Atitlan. Our stay was nothing but pristine, peaceful and relaxing

I just have no words for how beautiful this house is. we stayed here for our honeymoon + it just exceeded our expectations in every way. Luis is the man! thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us. we will definitely be back!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful house, and I have to say, Adolfo was an exceptional host. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything was perfect for us. His hospitality was above and beyond, offering helpful recommendations, answering any questions we had, and making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The house itself was gorgeous, well-maintained, and had everything we needed. Adolfo's kindness and attentiveness really made our family’s trip memorable, and we are so grateful for his help. The place is beautiful and peaceful. The house was super clean and the design is amazing, we loved it! The jacuzzi works great. It’s best if your car is 4x4 because the entry is up hill, but my sedan survived just fine too.

We had an unforgettable stay at this amazing luxury villa overlooking the stunning Lake Atitlán. The views alone rival any outlooks around the lake—absolutely breathtaking. The villa was private, secure, and spotlessly clean, making it the perfect retreat. Communication was excellent throughout our stay. Aracely, the house manager, was incredibly responsive to any request and such a warm, friendly presence to have around. The hosts also went above and beyond by providing detailed recommendations on what to do and where to eat in Panajachel, which made exploring even more enjoyable. The villa had everything we needed: a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable and spacious bed, a fan to keep things cool, and a TV with streaming services. Every detail was thought through to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable experience. We would absolutely stay here again—100% recommended!
