Monthly Rentals in Krousonas

Cozy house in a traditional village, with all facilities nearby (supermarkets, cafes, cats to pet in the town square), very confortable and well decorated. The location is up in the mountains near Herakleion and Knossos and also near the southern beaches. A very central place to visit central and eastern Crete. The ancient sanctuary of Prinias is maybe 5 minutes away. At the same time calm and isolated from mass tourism. It was a perfect stay and we are already thinking of coming back some day. My mother and I stayed at the stone house for 4 nights and it was a wonderful stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. A rental car is a must at the location is 30 minutes south of Heracleion and there's no mode of public transport there. We enjoyed our time here very much.

We had a wonderful stay. The home is as shown and very well appointed. We lacked nothing. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and guided to the residence. A warm fresh baked cake, fruit, homemade olive oil, raki, chocolates were all waiting inside. A very welcoming and kind family. We loved the village. A friendly, beautiful horse roams freely and arrived at our doorstep on our first night. 😀. The local taverna is (olive) wood heated and a bustling hub for locals. The Greek coffee is excellent! We had a pleasant stay in this tastefully renovated house. Access by car is not possible directly at the foot of the house but the host was very good tips for parking nearby. The house is on 2 levels completely redone and very clean. We only stayed one night since we were in transit to the east of the island. We had a very nice evening in a very friendly restaurant recommended by the host. The host was always available and offered to bring us a forgotten garment when he left. Very helpful. Thanks!
