House vacation rentals in Kópavogur

We had an absolutely perfect stay. Karl Davor told us several times that we just needed his things, so we were fine using, for example, spices, some flour, garbage bags, etc. We also had to use his hot tub at no extra cost, but of course you have to be aware that there is a smell of sulfur from the hot water, but Karl Davor has no influence on that. The beds were very comfortable and the house modern and nicely decorated. We were able to use the washer, dryer and dishwasher as well as Disney +. We had rented a car, so the distances to the sights were no problem. There is a small shop along with the gas station, where you can buy the essentials. The surroundings were a good fit for us. There are a lot of green areas/park with a playground. There is a very short distance to the beach, here you can find rocks and throws away. We didn't get to try the local swimming pool, but it's also within a short distance. We stayed here for 12 days and enjoyed every day the view of the mountain Esja.

We stayed in Carolina's home for 6 nights and had a wonderful experience. The home looks exactly as pictured—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It truly felt like a home away from home. The private pool is a great feature, though we didn't get a chance to use it this time since we spent most of our time at the Blue Lagoon. The house has two toilets and two showers; one of the showers is located poolside, which might be a bit lacking in privacy for some, but it wasn't an issue for us. The location is convenient, with two supermarkets just a 1-2 minute drive away, making it easy to pick up any essentials. It's also only a 15-20 minute drive to Reykjavík city centre, and the easy access to Highway 1 made it simple to explore different parts of Iceland. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Carolina's home to anyone visiting the area!

Fantastic family accommodation. Beautiful views & stylish but practical interior. Lots for kids to do inside the house (for bad weather days!). Would highly recommend and we hope to stay there again if we come back to Iceland in the future!

What a wonderful house and amazing location! This home is located in a great neighborhood with old world charm and character. It was only a 5 minute walk to shopping and eateries as well as the waterfront and tourist sights. The house had lots of room to spread out as well as a cool, fun vibe. The home was very clean and had plenty of items to make us feel welcome. We very much appreciated the warm hospitality our host offered from a few snacks in the kitchen to some really helpful insight on locations to visit. Everything we needed was here for our family and it made our stay so great! So much better than a hotel with it's spacious kitchen, washer and dryer, comfortable rooms as well as a peaceful backyard to read a book. There are many friendly neighbors as well as the famous Reykjavik cats to make friends with in the area. We had the best time visiting this city and are thankful we were able to have such a great spot to land. Thank you to Þröstur!

Klara's home is in an ideal location to explore the south west of Iceland. Reykjavík is 25 minutes by bus or car. Blue Lagoon is 30 minutes drive. Cafes and supermarket both within easy walking distance. The views over the harbour are magnificent. Klara's home felt warm and welcoming. We were silly and misplaced the key at one point and the host and their family responded really quickly and positively. Would highly recommend this accommodation and, if you ever get the opportunity to visit Iceland, grab it quick - it is an extraordinary country. Many thanks for adding to our wonderful few days.

Great place! The beds were very comfortable, had a nice kitchen, and very useful dryer (since it was raining)! Mikael greeted me himself and explained everything I needed to know. Perfect stop for my trip around the ring road!

This place was perfect! 4 adult and 4 kids. It was absolutely beautiful home and the owners were so responsive and helpful. The house is walking distance to food markets and some restaurants and only 20 min drive from downtown Reykjavik. Walking trails all along the area. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our visit to Iceland, highly recommend this place!

The best vacation we have ever had. The house was just perfect for our family. Loved it!

It was perfect. Just like the pictures. We were a group of 6 middle aged women and the house/home only attracted compliments. María is friendly and was responsive to my questions both before and during our stay. It’s not far from the city by bus which is good as the taxi prices are a killer. Google map instructions misdirect, that once off the bus you have a 25 minute walk to the house, that’s incorrect, you simply walk through the underpass and it’s a 5 min walk from there. I have no hesitation in recommending this air BnB.

The host was incredibly responsive, providing excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions.

This was a fabulous home base for exploring Reykjavík! It was centrally located between all of our planned activities, and our family of five adults had plenty of space to relax after a long day of exploring. Plus, the beds were very comfortable. Bjarni was very quick to respond to our questions, and his place had everything we needed to feel right at home. We plan to return to Iceland again, and we will definitely return to this property.

This home is beautiful, and the host is very responsive. The house has everything you need for a lovely stay. It is easy to travel towards Keflavik, Vik, or Reykjavík from the home. We were able to fit nine people comfortably.

Kari’s place made us feel right at home especially with little kids. The location is perfectly close to the city to easily get downtown for dinner or sightseeing but is also in a quiet part of town. Kari as a host was very responsive and provided some great recommendations.

A beautiful home near Reykjavik (10 min drive) & conveniently located near highways for easy travel. Extremely clean and comfortable, amenities as described, amazing back porch and hot tub — felt right at home!
