Guesthouse vacation rentals in Knox County

Second time booking this charming cottage. Nothing beats the dock access and it is pretty well located with lots to do and eat within 30 mins in any direction. The surroundings are so peaceful and beautiful--we can't wait to return.

This is the perfect Maine cottage experience. Easy to enter cove water for a swim. Cannot beat the view/sunsets. Sitting on front porch is the best. Very well stocked kitchen. Would stay again! Be aware there is no WiFi connectivity if you need that and one of us needed that for a work emergency so found public access. Us old folks found the lock box remote entry confusing. There was a small boat house close by and although visually blocked by trees could hear people talking on porch one night. Very little toilet paper supplied which based on how well everything else was likely an oversight but forced a quick trip to the Island market before it closed.

Beautifully rustic, quiet and charming! We booked Penny’s place because we were looking for a rustic stay. The weather in September was ideal for this indoor/outdoor space. Fully stocked kitchen, and loads of space for dining and relaxing. We lucked out and didn’t have anyone else staying on property while we were, and I will say it’s a bit of a fishbowl, so if you’re looking for privacy, it’s not here. We had a superb time!

What an absolutely gorgeous and quiet location and with such gracious hosts. We enjoyed our stay so much we’re already planning our next year’s visit. Deborah and Charles are absolutely wonderful. Thank you!!!

This is our second time staying here and we love it. It’s great for our little family of three. Feels like a little home away from home with everything you’d need. Steps away from a great trail and quick drive to so many other things. We love it here and will be coming back again.

This is truly a gem of an Airbnb. John is an excellent host, being communicative and very helpful throughout the stay. The property is private, serene and well maintained both inside and out. He even helped me acquire some fresh lobsters to cook while we were there! A really special stay, I will definitely be back.

Had such a nice long weekend here! The views from the studio out over the water are perfect for morning coffee and the place felt rustic and clean. Quiet neighborhood with some great places for pictures and The Grange, which has music and Fall craft fairs walking distance from the studio. The best food is in Rockland or Thomaston. I enjoyed the Waterworks and Ancho Honey restaurants. Parking around town is easy and (usually) free! Camden is also really pretty and historic and is nearby. Enjoyed my stay! Thank you :)

This is beautiful and comfortable with large bedrooms and kitchen. Bathrooms were bright and clean with terrific linens. Great location for exploring the area. The landscaping is also lovely. A great place to stay.

This is a little slice of paradise. I came here to do nothing, essentially--read & swim for a few days in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Diane was immediately welcoming with a warm greeting and quick tour. You have privacy here, but if you need anything, she is right next door. I couldn't recommend staying here more highly! This lovely 2nd floor apartment was clean, comfortable and very spacious. Although we only used one bedroom, there was plenty of room for another person or couple. The kitchen was well stocked and organized. The view of the harbor from the window was lovely! It is walking distance to several good restaurants, coffee shops and the harbor. Walking the Beauchamp area around the harbor was one of our favorite things to do. Kate responded quickly to any questions we had. Originally we had a problem finding the book for the house as it was mistakenly placed in a drawer. But Kate told us what to look for and we found it tucked away. We would definitely return to this lovely rental!

We had a truly magical stay for our honeymoon. This place is so special, beautiful, and peaceful. Incredible views and completely tranquil. Converse was an amazing host and provided us great recommendations and even a lobster pot for lobster night. Such a romantic place, I cannot recommend this enough!!

Paul was an excellent host. He was very responsive, informative, and friendly. The rental was as described and pictured. It was immaculately clean and suited my needs to a "T". It was exactly as expected, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The location was easily walkable to all the amenities offered by downtown Rockland Maine.

Cozy and eclectic space. Having in suite washer and dryer was a very nice accommodation for our week long road trip. Very peaceful space in a beautiful neighborhood!

Stephanie’s place was a wonderful little getaway! We had car trouble on our way and she was very understanding with check in and even left us some things for breakfast since we weren’t able to stop at a store beforehand. Definitely would visit again!

Dom & Sally were great hosts and this little gem is a treat to stay at! The view each morning was breathtaking and throughout our stay both hosts were friendly and highly responsive to any questions we had. As someone who travels and cooks a lot, the kitchen was thoughtfully and carefully appointed with surprisingly high quality knives, pots & pans, and anything else I would need for making meals at home. The house is also perfectly situated in walking distance of downtown Rockland which was so convenient.

The Windhaven Guesthouse is a beautifully and thoughtfully decorated gem of a place, tucked in among the trees between two sections of stunning rocky beach and shoreline. The guesthouse isn't directly on the water but you can see the ocean through the trees and hear it night, and you have immediate access to private natural beaches to enjoy at your leisure. We explored several of Vinalhaven's Land Trust nature trails and sanctuaries, but enjoyed watching the tide come and go on the stretches of beach directly around the guesthouse very much as well. The gardens on the property are lovely as well. Just beautiful.

We had an amazing Fall ladies weekend and fit in so much. We arrived Friday and did some Antique store visits, Saw Andre the seal and walked the small beach area. Made dinner at you place and had all we needed for a kitchen to make dinner in! Next day we headed out and went to the Farmers Market at the end of your road, visited down town Camden, shopped, Dined at Long Grain and went to various lighthouses. Sunday we had breakfast in and headed out to more Lighthiuse locations and Antique stores. Our one dinner out was a casual store at the Oak Room at the Rockland Harbor Hotel over looking the water. So much to do and see in your area, the place had UBER comfortable beds, linens and was SPOTLESS!
