Such a lovely character cottage set in the beautiful, quiet village of Lower Bockhamton. It was lovely to sit out in the spacious and well kept private garden for a morning coffee, which overlooks open fields with Lamas. Just a minute walk to the picturesque Frome riverside with its stunning walks into Dorchester , my dog lived paddling through the clear flowing water. Would definitely recommend and will stay again myself.

The Old School House is a wonderful cottage in the heart of Hardy's country. It is homely and comfortable and has all the amenities needed to accommodate a large family. We had a wonderful Christmas there and we were thankful for the decorations. There are many beautiful walks from the property. Highly recommended

Our stay was very last minute, that being said, the accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable. It was exactly as advertised, and very quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the most fantastic stay! Best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. We saw a baby deer 🦌 on the tennis courts. The wood walks which are a 1 minute walk away were incredible. The games room was great fun. Honestly 10/10 on absolutely everything, the room was amazing, comfortable, roomy. The staff were all so friendly. We got to fed the chicken and has fresh eggs for breakfast. We stayed for 3 night but wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be returning. There is an amazing spa nearby, great Sunday dinner at the thimble inn. A playground for the children too. I can't wait to bring our future children here! Thank you to everyone who gave us such a great stay. I heard rumours of alpacas, that would be an incredible addition to an already fantastic place!
