Very comfortable interior, very well equipped. Clear house rules and advice. Well situated with open views of the countryside. Very convenient dog exercising space - quiet private lane. Easy access to main towns and villages via open country roads. Situated well for access to National Trust property (dogs on lead) and Derwent Reservoir (includes off lead dog exercise area ) among others. Handy off road parking spot adjacent to the cottage. Very comfortable lounge, eating and bedroom areas with plenty of storage space.

We had a lovely few days away here, we especially enjoyed the large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge space. We relaxed in the evenings and made the most of the lovely accomodation and spent our days exploring places we had not been to before. We did Holy Island and other stops along the coastal road and had a day in Newcastle. We drove to the metro centre and got the train in which was very easy to do. Helpful and friendly host, thank you for the treats and eggs on arrival. We would recommend a stay here to anyone interested 😊

A wonderful peaceful oasis in a great location. You can be on the coast in 40min, in Newcastle in 30 or go for a walk in the North Pennines in a matter of minutes. The place itself is lovely. The private garden was great for the dog and I would imagine is wonderful in the summer months with the hot tub on! The EV charger next to the parking space was also a godsend that not many places have. A great stay with a responsive and friendly host who went out of her way to help.

We had a lovely, peaceful few days in Debbie’s cottage; very comfortable and cosy with fabulous views of the countryside. We appreciated the welcoming gifts of wine and chutney ( enjoyed with some local cheese!). Would definitely recommend the accommodation and location.
