Beautiful house and perfect location in the heart of the town. Parking is very simple and just across the river from the property. It comfortably fit our group of 6 and the bedroom layout was ideal for a mixed group of guests. The house was pristine and fully stocked with all necessities and some lovely little extras in the kitchen. Ruth was a great host, very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the property.

Rose was excellent. I made a mistake with the numbers of people staying and sorted it out promptly. House was soo lovely and it was a great stay.

Sandown House made our summer visit to the Lake District enjoyable. Space for our immediate family and extended family and friends. We nicknamed it the upside down house because the bedrooms are on the ground floor and the kitchen and living rooms on the top floor. Plenty of parking, walking distance to all that Bowness-on-Windermere has to offer. We think the on suite bathrooms are tiny, but we are tall people (6’and 6’4”) other than that plenty of space to stretch out. Lovely welcome hamper upon our arrival added a nice touch from the owners.

Exactly what we needed, plenty space for us and our 2 dogs with a great enclosed courtyard. Safe enough for the dogs. Easy to walk into Windermere. Had everything we needed. Would stay again.

Marks place is a great hidden gem. Allonby is a beautiful little village with amazing coastline and close the larger areas such as Keswick just a short drove away. The house was immaculate when we arrived and the little dog bed and dog bowls made it feel so homely. If you follow the instructions in the listing the property is very easy to find. We went to The Ship Inn that is literally round the corner, they do amazing food and the portion sizes are massive, and very reasonably priced. The staff and locals were very welcoming to. I will definitely be returning to Marks place

We had a wonderful long weekend in Windermere! The property was lovely and so well located. Would a 100% recommend it and hope to visit again soon. The Lake District is so very beautiful!

Lovely property- very well equipped- the fire was a great option. Central and very near to a couple of great pubs!

Very clean and homely. It was the first chilli evening. Christopher was very quick to turn on the heating after we messaged him. We also enjoyed the bar of chocolate that was left!

John was always on hand to speak to. messaged quickly. perfect spot for us near the middle of Windermere. apartment was a great size and had all we needed.

Rented this for my stepson. He was very happy with accommodation and said it was very clean and tidy and had everything he needed. He would definitely recommend staying there.

A really lovely and comfortable lodge which the hosts have beautifully decorated and added quirky finishing touches. We had a lovely stay and were welcomed with treats and handwritten note. Easy to find and access. The site is well kept and a good location for exploring the lakes and surrounding area.

Beautifully clean, well managed and comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting. I am a regular Airbnb traveller and would rate this place as one of the nicest, best located, and real value of all the places I have stayed. The place was exceptionally clean, warm and had everything i needed to feel at home, and with easy parking too. Also walkable to a swimming pool, gym and sports facilities, which was handy, and few steps to a restaurant. Communication was great. I would highly recommend this wonderful lodge

Andy provided clear instructions which helped us locate the cabin with ease. The cabin has a lovely cosy feel to it and has everything you’ll need. It’s also a great location with beautiful surroundings. Andy also provided some suggestions on what to do which was helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again. Having netflix was a great plus too!

Great 5 night stay. The Lodge is just as listed, very clean, super comfy, well equipped and lovely and warm for our autumn break. Really appreciated the little touches like fresh flowers, Halloween cakes, dog treats and the duck feed. Great location for exploring the Lakes, Dales and Coast all within a 30 min drive. Great communication from the moment we booked. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Stan’s place. The location was beautiful with swans and ducks swimming up to say hello. The interior of the lodge was tastefully decorated with everything needed and there was even a little hamper and a bowl full chocolates to enjoy. It was my mums 90th birthday and she had a great time 😊

Our family had a fantastic stay and would definitely love to come back next year. The location right on the lake was beautiful and the hot tub fantastic. Our dog also had a great time exploring the area and the decking area was perfect and secure for him. Everything about the stay was so easy and flawless from communicating with the hosts, checking in, local recommendations for places to eat and information on fireworks display as we were there over the 5th of November. Thank you for a wonderful break.

It was a lovely experience to be in this place feeling like home: the house is spacious, with modern technology, well decorated, very clean, great showers, beds and pillows, spacious kitchen and has all resources needed with good quality. Liz and Dave are ready for helping in any issue. The area is quiet, can go for a walk, mountains, lakes, historic train, local bus, light house and seaside are close for exciting activities or relax. Great place to be and invite you to go again!

My husband, our two dogs and I had a wonderful stay at the Den, Littlemere Lodges. This lodge surpassed our expectations! We had a beautiful lakeside view which provided such a calming ambiance as we watched the ducks and the sheep beyond on the hill. Despite its boutique size, the lodge was fully equipped with so many amenities such as a washing machine, dishwasher and lots of cutlery. Our poochons were certainly welcomed guests, considering the dog bowl, towel and poo bags that were set aside for them. We would definitely recommend! One possible con (though for us it just came as part of the change of scene from suburban to rural life) were the winding single-carriage roads leading to the property which sometimes required reversing to a widening in the road to allow passage of oncoming vehicles. However even this, felt like a small inconvenience compared to the overall lovely retreat we had at the Den.

The apartment was all we had hoped for. Comfortable. Distinctive. Warm and cosy. Incredibly quick and friendly responses from host. Incredible automated check in/out! Perfect for Ambleside meanders, buses further afield (we did Dungeon Ghyll in Storm Darragh) and driving all over the Lakes! Great to have access to free parking too. Thank you. We will definitely return!

The old Sunday school house truly is amazing, Kathryn has created an absolute sanctuary of peace right in the middle of the hills. We booked it for a mini-moon after our wedding, Kathryn very kindly left us Mr & Mrs sign near the hot tub and also some extra treats which was incredibly kind. The property is stunning, the interior design has been thought through and was flawless in every way. The log fire was is a perfect addition as well as the beautiful bathtub. We could have happily stayed for much longer! We will be recommending this place to everyone, it’s perfect for those who want to go out hiking with luxury to return to, as well as those who just want a private retreat! Thank you so much for this beautiful place.

Was a pleasure to stay at Susan’s cottage, lovely and clean , extremely comfortable, perfect location for seeing the Lake District. Would definitely stay again!!!!!!

The surroundings were peaceful and inviting, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. Luxury cabin in private surroundings. Great instructions for heating etc. Hot tub was lovely and super warm. Peaceful views with wildlife. Very relaxing couple of days away.

The photos don’t do the cottage justice to be honest, it’s a very well provisioned little cottage and perfect for our night’s stopover. Well stocked kitchen, close to the shops, beautiful garden, and warm and cosy for our arrival despite our short notice booking! Our kids loved re-filling the bird feeders too, as an optional part of our checkout process.
