The place is very beautiful and feels like home. It’s very peaceful but also convenient to go visit other places. The host is very responsive and prepared many coffee and tea bags. One of the best hosts I have met!

We loved our time in Kensuke's Hut by the beach. The 100 year old Hut was full of charm and authenticity. We liked how there was a light rattling of the windows during a rain storm, and we enjoyed sleeping on futons upon the woven mat flooring. The beach is right down the street, and shops galore are all nearby. The shower water was wonderfully hot, and the heating system kept us comfortable at night. We recommend this stay to all who want an authentic experience:)

Ted is a wonderful, helpful, accommodating, friendly host! His place is a quiet getaway, but still close to stations and bus stops. Many restaurants and combinis are nearby, and a few grocery stores as well. You can borrow a bike from him, making travel around Yokohama super convenient! Only note I would say, is to be quiet for your neighbors, especially at night. The walls are thin, and I had to politely ask my neighbors to speak softer one time because they were very loud through the walls. The neighbors (also Airbnb guests) were friendly about it! Highly recommended, and I will stay again if I have the opportunity!
