It was a wonderful stay, the whole time being there was amazing. We were only there 2 nights but it was perfect with the train station being five minutes away! It is right above a drug store as well so if you forget anything then you can just go down there.

GLOCE Yokosuka Guestroom @NAVY BASE Room A

KarenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I was extremely fortunate to complete my last externship at USNH Yokosuka, and I'm glad I chose Koryu's place to stay for my first time in Japan! I stayed for a little over a month. Being so close to the naval base was very convenient, as each gate was ~2-3 minutes walking distance. The place was between two train stations (Shioiri & Yokosuka-chuo) and not too far from Yokosuka Station (JR line), making taking public transit a breeze! Although the stay was quite comfortable and cozy, the only cons I would mention are 1) there is only a washer and no dryer (which had already been prefaced in the listing), 2) it can be a bit noisy Thursday-Sunday nights, as the place is right next to the Honch (bars!), and 3) there is no elevator, and the place is located on the fifth floor. It was definitely a big hassle carrying luggage up and down. Otherwise, the room was extremely spacious and had everything one could need. Koryu is very responsive and made my stay hassle-free. Thank you, Koryu!

7 min. walk from Keikyu Kamata Station/302

MeutiaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The location is great, a bit far from the station (850m ish) especially if You’re carrying lots of luggages. However, the walk is convenient and there are lots to see around the area (There is a river and many Sakura trees!) The station Kamata is big and attached with a mall. Great restaurants and shops around, there is a Don Quijote near the station. Amenities are provided, but not enough for a week stay which is okay, just buy extra at the 711 next to the place. My only suggestion would be the towels are very small (body towel the size of face towel, the face towel the size of hand towel), and upon asking for extra towels or pillows unfortunately they aren’t able to provide even if offered extra charge. Wifi is good, didn’t really cook or watch anything, but the kitchen and TV set are good. I had 2 big luggages and 2 small ones, they all fit, the room is quite spacious for Japanese standard. Overall, would recommend to all my friends and stay there again. Thanks!

IB Shimizu-gaoka 101, Excellent access to Yokohama sightseeing! Apartment for 1-2 people in a quiet residential neighborhood. Minami-ota and Hodogaya stations

BramRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Michiyo's apartment is located in a very peaceful and quiet part of Yokohama. It was a great place to stay and there was a lot of stuff to do/to access from here. I did blindly follow Google Maps from Idogaya station and it lead me to heavy stairs through the park, to later discover a path with a tunnel (Oharazuido) that was a bit easier with heavier luggage. Put a waypoint in with Minamiota Nichome Friend Park to make the climb a bit easier.

We had a wonderful stay at Ayako’s cozy apartment! It’s small but well-equipped, with everything you need. Located in a calm authentic residential area, it’s incredibly quiet despite facing a street with almost no traffic. It’s about an 18-minute walk from Kamata station or a 5-minute walk to a closer station one stop away from Kamata. While not the most convenient for quick access to central Tokyo, it’s perfect for experiencing local Japanese life. Ayako was an amazing host—super responsive and helpful. She replied almost instantly and surprised us with lovely gifts upon arrival. When the bathroom light bulb went out, she brought new ones very quickly along with more treats! Checking in was easy thanks to clear instructions. The apartment was warm and cozy during chilly days, with consistent hot water. A convenience store is just a minute away, making it super convenient. Highly recommend Ayako’s place for anyone looking to experience a peaceful, authentic side of Tokyo!

【Work & Travel】5min Sta./Newly-Built/Long Stay

VivianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Yumi was a kind, responsive and caring host who made our first family trip to Japan an easy and memorable one! She took are of all the little details that made us feel at home, such as clear instructions and labels in English, a first aid kit, ample supplies such as detergent capsules, cling film, etc. that I have never seen in other Airbnbs. My son was able to watch Netflix cartoons on the smart TV provided (using my login details). The cooking utensils were in a very good condition, so we could cook with peace of mind. The bed was very comfortable and my son also enjoyed reading and sleeping at the sofa bed. The sliding door to the bedroom was very convenient, allowing us to spend the night without worrying about waking up our son. There were two air conditioners, a portable heather and a bathroom dryer for drying clothes. It's in a quite residential area. The supermarkets and the nearest station are within walking distance. I'd definitely like to stay at Yumi's house again.

There is also a supermarket and convenience store nearby, and it is also close to Haneda Airport, making it very convenient when taking an early morning flight. In terms of facilities, it was helpful to have tools for washing and drying.

5min from Haneda, Easy access to Major Attraction

진아Rating, 5 stars1 week ago
When I booked this place, there were only a few reviews. Most people tend to hesitate when there aren’t many reviews, but I trusted my good first impression and decided to go for it. In the end, that choice turned out to be a great success. This accommodation offers: 1. Close proximity to a subway station. 2. A very clean room in a quiet neighborhood. 3. Plenty of natural sunlight and fresh air through the windows, which I especially loved. 4. A nearby local shopping street where you can get a glimpse of everyday life in the area. 5. Most importantly, the host’s responsiveness is outstanding. Among all the hosts I’ve interacted with so far, Renko responded the fastest and provided the most detailed answers. I highly recommend this place.

The place was very nice and comfortable! Host is extremely friendly and replies quickly! The location is very convenient as well close to Haneda Airport and a walkable distant from the station and we only had to switch once to JR line linked to plenty of the major mrt stations. The only downside is the lack of elevator (the Airbnb is on the 3rd floor with steep stairs, which might pose as a difficulty for elderly/children). Plus the lack of dryer which would be more convenient for the washing of clothing. Everything else was great all in all will recommend to others :)

The place was great and felt much bigger than it actually is. The loft is a great sleeping space. The area is very quiet and relaxing. Only a few minutes down the street to the train station and numerous convenience stores. Great location for Tokyo day trips like Hakone and Enoshima Island.

15 min from Haneda APT|Japanese modern sakura|202

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our family of 4 had a very nice stay. The two bedroom gave us more space than is usual for Japan. Although we had a problem with the dryer (user error?) The host responded quickly. All instructions were very clear. Its a litte far from attractions so it was a journey for our small children. But, the extra space and washer were worth it.

This trip to Yokohama, Japan, was a surprise! When I arrived at the B&B, I was attracted by my aunt's warm layout and small details, as soon as I stepped into the room, the traditional and style of the arrangement was neat and refined, and every detail was revealed to my aunt's heart, because it was the Spring Festival, my aunt specially prepared a lot of small snacks and fruits for us, and the red envelope was sent out before walking, it was a very good accommodation experience! In addition, the amenities of the homestay are complete and of super high quality, and the bathroom's toiletries are a local niche but super-usable brand that runs out of skin and slippery. And you can taste authentic Japanese food within a few minutes walk. This is a great homestay experience. I will definitely choose this place again next time I come to Japan!
