Kid-friendly vacation rentals in James City County

Home was very spacious. The common areas were large enough to host everyone, but the layout also works so that there are plenty of private bedrooms. The backyard was also very spacious with great views.

My family (six adults total) enjoyed staying at Ivy's Place. It was a great place to relax and enjoy Christmas (and visit attractions in Williamsburg -- a short 15-20 min drive). The house was clean throughout. The kitchen amenities were complete -- allowing us to prepare various meal, baked items, and Christmas dinner.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is peaceful and the home clean and well equipped. We have a dog and their place was perfect for our pet. The kids enjoyed the puzzles and games. La Tienda is right down the road.

Charlene is a wonderful and very responsive host. This was our second time staying there when we visit Williamsburg. The location is great and only a few minutes from everything. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our week. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Penelope was very responsive and friendly. Her place was very cute, clean and comfortable. Also is very close to Colonial Williamsburg and Bush Gardens which was amazing. We had a wonderful time there. Thank you!

It was a great place to stay and really close to Busch Gardens and Target. I believe my only complaint is that the water is well water so it smells really strong. We only stayed for 2 nights so it didn’t affect us a lot.

Alex's place was a fantastic stay! The attention to detail truly stood out, especially with the extra amenities that went above and beyond what I’ve experienced at other Airbnbs. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed—and the overall experience was seamless. Communication throughout the process was excellent, making us feel welcome and well cared for. Our stay was incredible! Very peaceful location and all of the amenities you could think of! John has thought of everything for this location and the beds are the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. The location is very remote so expect to drive about 20 minutes to the closest super market but otherwise it’s a half hour from Williamsburg and it is an easy drive. Would recommend this to anyone!

Brad and Sara have a lovely, spacious two-bedroom condo conveniently located near restaurants, grocery stores, and the downtown area. First, the check-in process was exceptionally smooth. Russell at the front desk was very polite and welcoming, and he even allowed us to check in two hours early. The beds were incredibly comfortable! My husband, who has hip problems, reported having the best sleep he's had in years! I made a note of the mattress brand so we could purchase one for home. We received discounted tickets to Busch Gardens Christmas Town, which was cold, but delightful. On the first night, I enjoyed the wonderful soaking jacuzzi tub. I should mention that we are seasoned travelers, and at 65 (and my 90-year-old mother, who traveled with us), we have high standards and would not hesitate to depart from any accommodation that failed to meet our expectations. Beautiful condo. Very clean & updated. Most comfy bed we have ever had @ an Airbnb ( and we have stayed in many). Very quiet & peaceful.

Our stay at the Wyndham resort in Williamsburg was wonderful! We had adjoining one and two bedroom condos which suited our group perfectly. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well stocked, and the resort activities exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of equipment available to borrow. We spent one day at Busch Gardens, one day at the resort, and one day at Water Country which made for a perfect balance of activity and relaxation! Dylan was friendly, helpful, and always responded to any questions and inquiries. Highly recommend and hope to return in the future!

The accommodations were more than I expected in a good way. we loved all the amenities, closeness to our destinations (busch gardens, and water country.) only 15 mins from each. Host replied even when the issue was me not being able to figure out the tvs at midnight ( it was my error so thanks). This was am amazing place amd we have already started planning to revisit. Great place for kids and mine love all the craft amd other options offered. thanks for a great stay!!!

Place was better than pictures. Facility well-maintained and lots of activities. Was worth the price and much better than just getting a hotel room. We will book for longer stay next time

Loved the condo! Great space while we waited for our new home to be ready. Enjoyed all the amenities and options on site. Nicholas was also great to ensure we got in and were satisfied with everything!

Had a very enjoyable stay. First floor easy access. Have no hesitation recommending unit. Wyndham will give their “buy time share pitch” but we were not interested and were not pressured. Being seniors of a particular age …. This unit was ideal. Would definitely consider using again. I thought the kitchen was nicely supplied with enough quality glasses, dishes and cookware and not bunches of hodgepodge outcasts as you find in most rentals.

This was a great place for a weekend In Williamsburg. Lots of comfy beds, functional kitchen, plenty of places to sit and chat.

When our first reservation fell through, Nadine quickly helped us secure a place for our family of six and was incredibly responsive to all our needs. Our unit was perfect for us — much bigger than I expected for a two bedroom, and the pools were also a big hit. Location is central to Williamsburg sights.
