Lovely wee place with stunning views and privacy. Very cosy and friendly hosts, wish we could have stayed longer!

What a wonderful week! I went to Culkein/Assynt for the express purpose of getting away from the overwhelming excesses of London life, and I succeeded, thanks in no small part to Karen and Iain’s pod. The pod is beautifully situated with an uninterrupted view of the coast, waves breaking over rocks, fields of sheep. The place is easy to locate, and Karen was proactive in providing easy-to-follow directions. The pod itself has everything you’d want or need and is extremely comfortable. Culkein is a great location if you’re looking to hike nearby Suilven, go on walks or just relax on the deck and stare out to the sea. I have nothing but high recommendations based on my experience, and I have every intention of returning to the region - it’s stunning.

The place is rustic, but great views and surroundings. We spent our time in the front porch area, relaxing and taking in the views. A bit more heating would have been a bonus, but great to have washer and dryer to use FOC. Area is very remote so stock up, thanks for a great stay!

The condo was exactly as described/pictured. It was centrally located and walkable to all the village had to offer! It was quiet and safe with parking right out the front door. Mark was very communicative from.the get-go and offered detailed ismtruc on finding the place as well as checking in. When we arrived he answered right away, was very friendly and pleasant, and quickly showed us around before handing us the keys. Super easy and comfortable! The condo itself was wonderfully homey and pristine! It has a full kitchen with just about any utensil you could need! We'd been traveling for about a month when we stayed here and I was itching to have a home-cookes meal! Mark directed us to the shop down the street and we picked up some groceries for a yummy dinner, prepared without issue in this lovely kitchen! As an avid home cook, I was satisfied and impressed by this amenity! Overall it was a very lovely stay at a price you truly couldn't beat! Mark was a fantastic host!
